I am very surprised by the bad reviews. I went to the 59th St. Location last summer for my first mamogram and had to come back for a second. I was nervous but it was as quick and as pleasant as it possibly could be: /I did not have a long wait and they seemed to genuinely care about my results and got me back in asap for a second image. I have referred them to a few friends.

This review is mostly based on my experience with the receptionist. I came to my appointment 15 min prior to fill out paperwork and not slow anyone down. The second I walked in, I received a dirty look. Misery loves company huh. I asked a few questions regarding the paperwork etc which she clearly did not want to answer. Okay no problem, I won’t force you to do your $ 10 an hour job. I was called in on time(1st star) and the sono technician was wonderful(2nd star). She was super sweet, knew what she’s doing and made me feel comfortable the entire time. After I changed, I had an appt for a CT scan which I had to go to their other location for. The receptionist advised me that they have a black car which would transport me there. As I was leaving, she gave me the address of the other location. From all the stress and my head running with different thoughts, I forgot it. When I got into the car, the gentleman had to call her to verify which location he was taking me to but kept the call on speaker phone. Little did she know. She responded saying: «I just told her the address, are you kidding me? Ugh let me look again.» To the owner or upper management, you are killing your business by hiring one wrong person. If she doesn’t want to or know how to deal with people, she should not be a receptionist. I will not be returning here or recommending ANYONE to this location solely based on her attitude.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. I can’t speak to the quality of the imaging, time will tell. But when I confirmed just hours before my appointment time I was not informed that one of their machines that produces a paper image was broken. when my image was finished I waited for the CD. I got the CD and was told that the paper copy could not be given to me because the machine was broken and I should call in the morning to speak to Walter he was very busy and apparently couldn’t call me. I thought this was ridiculous and insisted that the receptionist email manager and Walter asking them to call me. I was then told that when the paper report was ready I would receive it in 24 to 48 hours via messenger. I said that was not acceptable, messenger services come right away. I got a long story about how they were not happy with their messenger service, as if it were the only messenger service in Manhattan. There was a lot of flubbing about their own problems. I expect things to get more smoothly) in a medical facility. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Came here to have my first mammogram and it was a wonderful experience. I came expecting the worst, not from east river, but because of all I hear about it. The imaging technician(if that is the appropriate title) was amazing, we joked and she made me feel right at easy with the whole experience. If when I go back I’m scheduling with her! Amazing place!

If I could give this zero stars I would. I showed up 8 minutes late to my 12:30 appointment. I filled out the forms quickly and sat in the waiting room. At 1, I asked them if it would be any longer(I had a meeting in the West Village to get to by 2PM), they told me I would be seen«shortly». I waited… and waited… and waited. At 1:20, I finally gave up. When I went to reception to get my referral forms back, all she said was«we’re waiting for a room to empty for you to go to.» My appointment was at 12:30, why would you not have a room available until nearly an hour after the appointment time? What really annoyed me was there was zero apology or any offer to make another appointment. The receptionist said nothing and had no explanation. I understand that women who get mammograms are(usually) older and possibly retired but this is NYC and waiting anyplace for almost an hour is unacceptable. I wouldn’t even wait that long for a cronut.

It is my 3rd visit here and the personnel is pleasant & curteous. The place is welcoming! The results turnover was good. I received by mail my results in less than 5 days.

Fabulous place. I’ve been here twice, and they’ve been extremely courteous and efficient. Got my results that day, and emailed to me by the next morning. When I went to the wrong location on 72nd street, they gave me cab fare to get to their 59th street location. Really top-notch facilities.
