I was negatively impressed by the «welcome» I got at the reception desk– people didn’t seem to know who should greet me, so no one did. And by the «bedside manner» of the dental assistant — to be fair, she is not a native speaker of English, but still…
Dr. F is the same.

Dr. Folickman is a very caring an interested man that does all he can to help his patients. If you want a great dentist Dr. Folickman is the one to see.
He gave my friend a roundhouse bridge that looks absolutely amazing!

Writing something in the hopes of saving someone from the experience I had.
Had 1000s of dollars of dental work done, almost all of it has had to get redone at this point (1 year later). Fillings have all chipped/​broken off as well as the dentist insisting he puts in a filling when I really needed a root canal (had to have emergency root canal procedure within a month). The dentist I went to for all my corrective work was shocked at what he saw.
ALSO they do not use a computer system or provide itemized receipts. Every time I paid (spending $ 100s each visit) they would print out a receipt like the one you get at a deli with the charge, no breakdown of the procedures done. When I asked for a breakdown for my records, the dentist would write it by hand, in scribble, on a notepad.
I called to complain of course because of all the corrective work I’ve needed, and his reaction (relayed by the receptionist) was that I could come in and have him look at/​fix any problems. Like I would ever let him touch my mouth again?
Please please avoid.

Amazingly horrible dentist who uses his bare hands. BARE, gloveless hands in your mouth.

Scam artist who has tried to extort almost $ 1000 from me for a filling after telling me the charge was $ 25. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Folickman is personable enough but here are some of my issues: his office seems dirty and it is very outdated; when examining your teeth he will frequently insert his ungloved hand into your mouth and prop your cheek to the side with his ungloved finger while looking at your teeth. These were always my issues with him but he was nice enough and seemed to know what he was talking about so oddly I continued to see him. I decided to change dentist after an expereince where he was a bit of a jerk and abusive of his ability to charge me for services.
I went to see him for pain and he took a small bottle, painted a liquid on my tooth and called it a temporary filling (which was fine and worked). He told me the tooth would need a root canal and that I would need to come back. When I left I made the appointment for the root canal and asked if I owed any co-​pay and was told no, my insurance covered everything.
After thinking it over I decided to get a second opinion to try and save my tooth (the last time I saw him for tooth pain it also resulted in a root canal). When I called to cancel my appointment I also requested that they make my x-​ray available to me so that I could bring it to the other dentist. Soon after his assistant called me back to say that my x-​ray was ready but they had made an error and I now owed a $ 150 co-​pay. When I came in to pick up the x-​ray Dr. Folickman was present and I spoke to him about the extra charge and asked him to show me on my co-​pay guide where it indicated that he could charge $ 150 for a painted filling that took him 2 seconds to apply. He was very sharp and said it was considered palliative care which isn’t covered by my insurance and, in his words, «I can charge you whatever I want.»
The dirty office and bare hands in my mouth did not get me sit down and write a review but sticking your hand in my wallet and telling me you can charge me whatever you want because you’re mad I’m seeking a another opinion– that warrants a shared opinion.

A friendly, convenient office. The staff is professional and helpful. Dr. Folickman is busy, but very personable and makes sure to explain options and procedures clearly. He loves to travel and has pictures of his many adventures all over his walls!

I went here for two years and finally made the effort to leave what was not a great experience. There wasn’t anything jarringly terrible, but a general feeling of insecurity and uncomfortability.
Dr. Folickman is personable and professional, but I felt like he wasn’t entirely comfortable with what was happening in my mouth (and it wasn’t complicated). He ended up breaking my permanent retainer-​though it had been in for many years and was not meant to last forever-​and giving my wife and me contradictory instructions about how to care for some of the work that he did for both of us.
You won’t die if you go, I think, but you can do better.

Dr. Folickman was a very nice man – but the office was in poor condition. Everything seemed so old and dirty that I almost didn’t let them clean my teeth. I wouldn’t recommend the office, but the dentist was good.
