Elite Event: Babeland

This is my favorite sex shop and I was so excited when I saw that they were hosting a Unilocal event! Two things that I love: sex toys and Unilocal.Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too.
We were welcomed with lots of prosecco and chips, and for once I got there before all the Unilocal swag was gone –WIN.
The store was offering 10% which was wonderful. Omg great massage oil candle, btw. New on the wish list: Lelo’s Ina vibe.
The staff was so much fun, happy and knowledgeable!!! They were truly awesome. The lady doing the workshop was awesome and her lipstick kicked ass. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. It was great when she was talking about butt action! Lmao «RELAXATION, COMMUNICATION & LUBRICATION! Y’ALL.»
Definitely need to come back here for a workshop.

Arrived half way through the event and missed the raffle boooo. Nevertheless my plus one and I had a chance to look through their products and were given detailed explanations and recommendations from the staffs! What an eye opening experience! Will definitely keep Babeland in mind for my girlfriends’ bridal shower needs hehe.

My waking hours are filled with anywhere from 3 to 5 dick jokes so in addition to being told I was a natural fit for this event, my friends and I laughed a lot. Independently, I have been meaning to visit here for quite some time. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and within 15 minutes of entering the store I bought a Magic Wand (at 10% off because I was participating in the event; it was worth the $ 122 total). In general, I felt the prices were reasonable considering what you were using the item for.
After my friends and I were done playing with a plastic «egg» skin that goes over the tip of a penis, plastic/​disposable cock rings, Hello Kitty butt plugs and various silicone lubricants, one of the store employees was kind enough to give us tips on how to treat a woman’s vagina with and without the use of hardware. One of my friends in fact requested a similar rundown of anal play (she had her reservations in case we were a prudish bunch) and I realized that us four were likely the most interested in what the kind lady was saying. The store itself is largeish, clean and dignified in a way that I do not expect a place that sells sex toys to be (I was a kid in the 80s and think of the hookers in Times Square-​era sex shops). I am likely going back before the year is up.

I was a little uncomfortable going to an adult store but I am so glad I went! Thank you Ruggy for organizing this event. It was unexpectedly FUN and I learned so much! My mind was blown away learning about so many different types of sex toys and how fancy they were!!!
Babeland does not look like an adult store from the outside at all! More like a modern kitchenware store. Walking into the store felt weird, I have never seen so many dildos in my life! But after a couple cups of champagne, I was touching and playing with everything! OMG, some of those things are fast and strong!
All the staff there were super friendly and welcoming. They were trained sex educators and showed me how everything worked, even provided first hand experience on them;)
There were dildos with remote controls, wifi, one even with an app! It was a fitbit for vaginas! There was a vibrator that reacted to sound, so it’d vibrate to the beat of music of your choice lol.

I have no shame in my game: This is NOT my first rodeo at Babeland, namely the SoHo location. SoHo is my FAVORITE location, in fact! I normally don’t sign up for Unilocal events at places I’ve already patronized, as I enjoy using said events as an excuse to explore a new fun location within this isle of Manhattan. But, I could not resist the call of another trip back to my favorite… errrr…toy store. ;-)
We were all welcomed to the event with Prosecco, potato chips, a fun little pins with silhouetted pictures of vibrators and anal beads. The staff, as always, was warm, welcoming, educated, and frank with their information without making you uncomfortable. We were treated to a small workshop of «Sex Toys 101» by Christine, who is an amazing and engaging instructor. I was very pleased that virtually everything she taught us regarding the content of her lecture were things that the beau and I already engage in actively. *ahem* So, I guess we’ve been doing everything right for the past 3 &½ years! HA! ;-D And if there is one thing I’ll take away, is that «nothing fun happens towards the spine.» Sage advice!
In addition, all Unilocalers present last night got a 10% discount on store merchandise. I was pleased, because I love JimmyJane’s massage oil candles, and I got to buy a new seasonal Cocoa & Fig scented one. I can’t wait to incessantly nag my boyfriend to give me a massage and use it on me. (Because, you know, I’m a woman. It’s what I do. Haaa.)

Great event! Christeen made a great presentation and Ruggy shone in his judgement as always! I loved the bottomless champagne and both me and my plus one bought a bunch of stuff. The store is laid out really well. I love how Unilocal NYC has so many events that are separate from food. Don’t get me wrong — food is the BEST! But it’s great to have food and drinks at places that are less for that purpose such as hair salons or sex toy shops! The possibilities are endless and I’m always impressed.

Love. Love… Loved this event… I was Spencer J. Plus 1 and I have to admit I thank him a million time cause this event was awesome. This Elite Event we got the pleasure of having HANDS ON experience to all the latest and greatest pleasure toys there is to man kind or Women kind. For me walking in to the Babeland was like walking in to an Adult candy store… I wanted everything!!! Being a single lady in NY it’s offend very hard to keep a man in the sheets but then you have Babeland to make you forget all of that. We had an instructor who gave out a wonderful lesson on how to satisfy a women and her wondrous Vagina… Some people may shy away from this but the room was live with ears that were willing and able to listen. She explain where the G spot is and the actual name of the G spot (German gynecologist Ernst Gräfenberg)… She showed different toys that can help you with those night that you are disparate for pleasure. She even explain how a first timer can have pleasure Anal sex… And for those of you who struggled with dirty talk they even gave a paper to help you called the Yes, No or Maybe…
The room was a little spacious if you have a big crowed it would be hard to move room. All the toys were out to touch and batteries were charged so your were able to fell the vibration… All the employees were very knowledgeable and nice… Can’t complain once… And I even got to meet some new Unilocal friends today (Shout out Jen and Ven)… And they toys are not expensive at all… You can find a good price on what ever your looking for… I give this place 5 stars…
Can’t wait to have an excuse to come here again!
