Elite King Kong Goes Gala at the Empire State Building

What a venue for my first Elite event!
First, it was humbling to be given the opportunity to attend, and the evening was wonderful. The passed appetizers from Calle Ocho were delicious (I will be making a reservation for their infamous bottomless sangria brunch ASAP), the drinks were generously flowing, and the staff at the Empire State Building treated us like VIP guests. It was a pleasure to meet other Elites, as well as to enjoy the views from both observation decks.

There’s nothing quite like walking into 350 5^th Avenue and feeling VIP. Every staff member along the way asked (before I had to say anything) if I was with Unilocal.Then… once I was wrist banded and name carded, I was quickly whisked away to the 80^th floor… by-​passing all the lines.
The appetizers and passed cocktails were great. Simple, flavorful and well presented. Once again, great ESB staff were on hand to serve us.
There’s nothing like looking out on NYC at night from the 86^th Floor (and then after a slightly terrifying trip in a freight elevator, a view from the 102 floor…1,250 feet up!). I can’t thank Unilocal enough for organizing this evening and reminding me how freakin’ cool the Empire State Building is.
