Lonely Park should be its name. This place located behind Ikea, its a man made landscape, with grassy mounds, lounge chairs(not the comfy kind), benches, and of course several piers. Every time I come here its always empty, whether its a Tuesday or a Saturday. For some reason I am not complaining. This park is serene, quiet, chill, relaxing, unlike its other neighboring parks, this one is perfect for reading a book, laying on the grass, catching a tan or walking your dog. Lonely park, should be its name.

Went here for Pig Island. Food was good but lines were LONG, especially for drinks. It was HOT and there was no shade nor a place to sit down. The place was packed! Will not be back.

Came here for Pig Island beer and porkfest on the waterfront just recently. It’s a picturesque setting on the water for an outdoor event. Some cool achitectural structures throughout the park, and funky artsy oversized pieces to play and sit on. Nice grassy area to lay out and picnic on. The Ikea store looms over the park in the background. The water taxi lets off right at the park. Hit up Ikea’s bathrooms to take a monster dump. Have some meatballs. Lounge around on the furniture in the air conditioning. Then head back to the park to enjoy the day.

I recently came here for Pig Island’s new location. The park is on the smaller side but it’s a great place to host an event! You’ll never believe you’re in Red Hook when you see the amazing views of the water. There is plenty of seating and tons of grassy areas for picnics and such. The water taxi comes right here and Ikea is its neighbor. Not a bad spot!

This park is located next to the IKEA. When we were there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, it was quiet there, with only few people there. Pretty nice place just to chill, relax, enjoying the breeze… After you shop in IKEA, stop by this place…

Yet another park to brighten Brooklyn Waterfront. Located next to IKEA, but with strategically placed greenery that makes you forget where you are — all you know is a beautiful path along the water and nice wooden benches that just begging to sit down and relax. It wraps around the bays and piers that once were a shipyard. There are the remains of dock, barges, and some other elements of machinery on display as you go around the path towards Water Taxi. More benches, metal this time, hidden in green alcoves — yea, I will let you guess what those are used for by some neighborhood teens — I am thinking design intent was that perforated metal is easier to hose down?(lol) Further on the pier there are design elements that resemble the waves with driftwood that are actually comfy seating too. You can see Red Hook main across the water — relaxing walk and cool views.

A little strip of green by the«Erie Basin» right next to IKEA Brooklyn. It almost makes you think you’re in nature, greenery and water nearby, until you turn one way and see the giant blue and yellow building that is the swedish furniture beast :)
