Esplanade Gardens in Harlem is a fine example of the Mitchell Lama government subsidy program of the 1960’s. It’s 6 bldgs, each 27 floors, 12 apts per floor. There are 1,2, and 3 bdrm apts in each bldg. There’s an olympic sized swimming pool and community rooms available for functions. The community is pretty well maintained and each bldg has security. The apts are co-ops and require a purchase price as well as a monthly maintenance fee. The apts are large with terraces and some have multiple bathrooms. Its a worthwhile investment and a pleasant place to live.
