Estonian Amer National Council

This is a review for the Estonia House as an event space. I tried to look it up on Unilocal before going there to celebrate a friends PhD defense and was horrified: no review on Unilocal.I felt so lost and alone. Well no longer will the Estonia house remain a mystery. I can tell you that it is a fantastic event space and if you are ever invited you should definitely jump on the opportunity (you could also host your own event there if you are already a member there… but if that is the case you probably already know everything in this review).
So, the space is beautiful. You walk in to big leather chairs and old school impressive wood carvings in the walls and fireplace. When I was about to leave for the night I had to stop for a moment just to pretend that I was the type of person who regularly frequents a place this nice. In back there was a cash bar that was unusually generous/​affordable. They had some sweet Estonian beers and liquors. The snacks they put out were delicious: farmers cheese tarts with apples, extremely fresh fruit, some sort of quiche things that I ate a ton of. Finally, I have to bring it up, the bathrooms were absolutely 100% pristine.
So, yes, if you are lucky enough to be invited to an event at the Estonia house you should jump on the opportunity. Oh and I showed up in nice jeans and a buttons down and felt slightly underdressed. So if you don’t want to look like a slouch (like I did) than you may want to wear something more business casual level for guys, sweet dresses for girls.
