I decided to step out of my comfort zone and eat here for lunch. BIGMISTAKE… First of all, how the fuck you sell half a welfare sandwich and a cup of mediocre soup for $ 10. The price isn’t really the issue but the food just wasn’t up to par. I had to force myself to eat that nasty ish. The service was regular and they have outdoor seating which is cool but IDT I’ll ever be eating here again.

I come here because they have a chopping machine for their salads. Actually they have a few chopping machines, one for salads including dairy, one for nuts, etc. No cross-contamination here! They have tons to choose from as far as salad toppings go. The dressings can be a bit sad or way too sweet(I’m looking at you, raspberry) but overall you can still find one that hits the spot. They also have a deli and pasta counter, as well as pastries. Prices are on par with similar selections in the area. The décor is straight out of 1990 but I usually grab and go. Not a bad place and if you like your salad chopped without any large chunks of lettuce or veggies, this should be your go-to spot.

If you want a big helping of RUDE this is the place for you. I would never allow the man at the register to speak to guest. Used credit card, had used ten minutes before. Anyway he said what is your pin. It’s a credit card not debit card with the new chip. I say I don’t know and he gets ugly with me and tells me I should know my number. Went next door and got breakfast and no attitude. Credit card worked. If you are the owner and read this you just can’t allow employees to be so rude. The lady beside him apologized due to the fact I think she even found him rude. Lots of places to go so spend your money where they teach customer service.

I came here a couple of times during lunch and it’s always so busy and a lot of traffic. However, it’s very spacious and big inside and there are outside seating so there’s always seats. The salad and pasta line always seem to be super long; therefore, I usually just get a sandwich and a large soup to split with my friend. They’re pretty pricey, but it makes my friend and I full(with only these two items), so it’s alright. There are a lot of varieties of sandwiches as well. Their sandwich and soup aren’t too bad. there’s always a different varieties of soup each day. I would come back if needed since it’s quick and always seating.

Meeeeh. English Muffin with Sausage, Egg, Cheese tasted a bit strange. Pancakes were okay. But the atmosphere… I don’t know… At least they’ve been way cheaper than The Café Metro on 52nd/Lex. So, no real reason to complain. An okay place to go for an okay breakfast.

I hate chain restaurants/cafes. Customer service sucks and the managers are always rude! And the food blows. I love how they advertise a lunch special and then charge you full price. When I say something… the answer is that’s not the special. Well, when I ordered I specifically asked to get the special. They can go eff themselves backwards sideways and upside down and then jump off a cliff. Stupid dumb and blind… I should’ve known better but when you’re in a rush and starving…

I work in the building directly next to Café Europa and only within the last six months have I began to pay them any attention. I was exhausted eating in the same locations day after day and decided to give them a shot and so far, so good. Pro’s 1. They have an assortment of options(Sandwhiches, Soups, Salads, Pasta, etc.) 2. The prices are fair 3. The staff is rather friendly and eager to help especially the workers who make soups 4. The soup and pasta are good options Con’s 1. They sometimes are very crowded around the pasta and salad lines and don’t want to wait, so I just by default continiously get soup. 2. They are a little pricey Overall, its a relatively nice lunch option if you are in the Midtown East area.

Coffee old tasting, cold and bitter. Pecan bar was hard as a rock and inedible. Mopping with ammonia adding to the unpleasantness of the experience. Flippant staff.

Europa is good for a nice morning coffee and a bagel before work or a quick salad/sandwich combo at lunch time. Their staff is quick and attentive. I’m looking forward to some delicious soups which will become available over the next few weeks. Burrrr.

Genuinely enjoyed lunch here. They have a guy that makes your pasta stir fry to order while you watch. Lots of options … had the Penne with shrimp and more. My daughter proclaimed her Alfredo the best she’s had. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating and plenty of places to sit and people watch. The coffee was so so.

Love this place… It gets a lot of traffic but is really big so you never have to be too close to other people. The food is good, I love their salads and their chicken noodle soup. The soup variety is amazing, they changed them by days and have at least six different types a day. The salads are fresh and they have different choices of toppings and dressers. Is a good place to visit during a workday. The place itself its clean. The staff are friendly and nice.

I used to go everyday for lunch. They changed the manager and now it’s going down hill. It looks/is much dirtier. I was even getting stomach aches lately.

Absolutely love their stir-fry pasta station! Slightly over priced, think it was 8 dollars for a pasta dish with veggies only(three kinds). But yeah they were quite decilicious. However I would definitely ask them to put less pesto sauce in the frying pan to start with. It was a bit oily with their normal standard.

I wanted to post an update as I’ve been getting breakfast here more often. I think I give up with getting coffee at these types of places(ie: Pax, Café Metro, etc) as they all seem to taste the same — «watered down burntness». Definitely stick to the street carts for coffee as they are MUCH better. Breakfast sandwich was OK, a bacon/egg/cheese is not as filling as it should be. However the bagels are toasted and buttered just right. Quick service which is needed as they get busy in the AM. I only pay $ 1.03 for a toasted WH bagel with butter where a block away at Café Today they charge $ 1.36(every penny counts people). I just wish there was one place in the area that had everything at the right price but I should thankful I have any of these options at all within walking distance.

The food was fine, it’s the Saturday morning cook on November 26 that I have a problem with. I stayed at the Double Tree over Thanksgiving and decided to give this place my business two days in a row over Café Metro right next door to the hotel because Metro had a stench protruding from it(good reason right?). The cook had such an attitude here. When I asked for an everything bagel he turns around to me, tells me there aren’t any — only plain, poppy, cinnamon, or sesame. OK but could you at least turn back around to me and look my way so I can place the order? He totally turned his back and started grilling some order!!! Gives another lady her«to say order» order before even taking mine. I will not return. Customer service is everything these days and oh yeah, online reviews are too Europa Café.

One black forest ham sandwich priced at $ 6.95 left me feeling half-full rather than completely full to the rim. Extreme overpriced and cookie cutter cafes of overcharged prices for very the misery quantity of food. This Europa sits directly opposite the Citigroup Center(owned by Boston Properties, Inc.) with a somewhat smaller space and a narrow selection of sandwiches. Seating is ample during heavy peak lunch/dinner hours without the need to scramble for an open available table. No comment for facilities(if any available) as I did not use.

I work upstairs from this place for the last 4.5 years and I have never had a bad experience. In fact, the staff is amazing, the food is delicious, the price is right for midtown… The soups are great, the«create your own salad» area has tons of fresh options, the breakfast is perfect and priced right. You can’t go wrong.

Cheap Cheap Cheap!!! So I thought all of the food here was pretty fresh and tasty, but then again I did come here after my red eye flight from LA to NYC and taking the AirTrain to the ETrain(my first NYC subway experience!!!) So finally stepping on ground and getting a chance to sit and eat with my boyfriend was heavenly! And the food was probably fresh because it wasn’t even 7am yet! ha ha But hey, at least it is a cheap place that is open early! The staff was friendly, but the amaretto coffee was not so friendly to our tastebuds. The hazelnut was a little better, but could have been a little stronger. Our homefries however were VERYGOOD, with spices and peppers in it, we wished we had just ordered multiple orders of that! Our breakfast wrap was pretty good too – fiesta wrap and splitting that and one order of homefries and coffee was enough to fill me and my boyfriend up for a little while! One of our cheapest meals in NYC, although it wasn’t the best, it was fast and cheap and had flavor!!! Don’t except classy food here it is a to go on the move kinda place, which for NYC is a must I would say!
