Walked in on a busy Saturday morning. There were two available barbers and one of them was picking his nose openly; luckily I didn’t get my haircut by him. The haircut was mediocre. The guy used a buzzer, but not carefully as I had to trim up when I got home. He then did touch ups with scissors while doing the old barber trick(constantly opening and closing the scissors as if he’s doing something while holding the scissors no where near close enough to cut hair), so basically not doing much. THISISMYBIGGESTGRIPE: He proceeded to shave my neck. I asked him to use a new razor. He refused and dipped a USED razor blade in barbasol and tried to shave me with it. Razors cost like $ 10 for a pack of 100. Ridiculous and unsanitary. The place is cheap and the hair cuts are not«expert» by any means. The good reviews are from people who haven’t paid more than $ 15 for a haircut in their life. Go somewhere else and pay for quality.

Please read this before you go there! I saw all the positive reviews and decide to give this place a try. I got a great haircut and customer service is just like describe in other reviews, here on Unilocal. Now the problem I have is that these guys are shaving people necks with old blades. After he was done with my haircut, I asked him to show me the blade he used on me.(I thought he switched before I got there). Big mistake! The blade was old and had a lot of oxidation. He argue with me that he’s using sterilization to rinse out the blade so that takes care of it and he’s fine using the same blade on all his customers. This is so scary! He shouldn’t be allowed to work near people. I already contacted the department of state and I’m definitely following up on this matter. Something needs to get done about this.

Fast, old school, cheap as dirt, and one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

First timer after I moved to the hood last week. I followed the good reviews here. I loved the place, so old fashion. The price for my haircut was 12 $, which is great. It was a 10 minutes haircut, the fastest in my life, but I like it. My only concern, which is a big one, when I was about to be shaved in the neck, I saw that the blade wasn’t replaced! I gently asked the barber to use a new one. He did. I don’t know what are the regulations, but I’m sure you don’t use a used blade. Be alerted. I’ll be back, probably, but with my eyes open.

There’s no question these guys are experts. They’ve been there forever — individually, and collectively. And it’s not like they’re oblivious to «new fangled» cosmetological trends — it’s that they just don’t care about them. Leave that to hairdressers. For a haircut? Go to a barber. An expert barber.

These guys are pros. In and out in 10 minutes. Great cut. $ 12. Boom. Done. Roasted. Need I say more?

This is the place to travel back in time! I messed up earlier, but this is definitely the way to go. Not much has changed in here since probably 1971. Old School Old Way.

Lean back in an ‘ol barber chair, relax, and discuss current events with true-to-their-name Expert Italian barbers. They’re all good. Hot towels, clean shave, and a trimmed beard nice and tight… This shoppe epitomizes what a barber shop should be…

They are quick, cheap and clean. Been coming here for a few years and nobody else in the area has $ 12 haircuts. Basic no frills old-shool barber shop and reminds me a lot of growing up in Staten Island.

The best short hair cut for women!!! Beats any salon I’ve ever been to in nyc… ask for Joe he is the only one who cuts womens hair. I get stopped all the time and asked where I get my hair cut. Believe me when I tell you he is really the best… I’m picky and have had short hair for 20 years! Joe gives a perfect cut!

This place is an old school Italian barbershop, and gives a great haircut. My new go-to in the city. The best part is, haircuts are only $ 10, and a straight razor shave is $ 8. You know its good when they use hot lather to shave the back of your neck. This is certainly not the place to come for highlights and product, but if you want a cheap, good haircut, this is your spot.
