Specialties

Want a piece of the Middle East in the West Village? Look no further than Falucka Lounge, where every Sunday night belly dancers will shimmy up to you as you blaze up indoors… from a hookah full of flavored tobacco, of course.

The sleek lounge is lit by candlelight, creating a mysterious ambiance while the air is mixed with flavorful hookah smoke and pulsing house beats.

Falucka features 50 declisious hookah flavors, many infused with fresh fruit, red wine, sangria, and mojito to enhance the hookah’s essence. Arrive early to enjoy happy hour specials from 6pm-11pm. Dance the night away with the DJ spinning international, and Arabic tunes or simply sit back and relax with the gorgeous crowd as you take in a performance by our belly dancers.

Come experience the alluring atmosphere of Falucka Lounge and you’ll never want to leave!

History

Established in 1999.

Falucka was the pioneer of Moroccan lounges in New York City when we first opened our doors 14 years ago. Since its inception Falucka has become the hottest hookah lounge in the city, thriving through an intimate atmosphere filled with flavorful tobacco, international music, and unforgettable entertainment.

The word falucka refers to a sailing vessel used in the protected waters of the Mediterranean and Red Seas. Much like the definition, when you step through Falucka’s doors you will be enticingly transported to the Middle East without needing to wait for an airplane or a flight.

Meet the Business Owner

Sam J.

Business Owner

Since Sam’s arrival to New York in the 1980’s it has been his dream to reveal the culture of Egypt as he did not find a place that truly represented his culture. Sam began forming the idea of Falucka in the 1990’s as he began his search for the perfect location and Middle Eatern décor. Finally, he found his dream location on Bleecker street in the heart of Greenwich Village, the melting pot of NY, and captured his cultured atmosphere by traveling to Moracco and Egypt, importing all the decorations and hookah pipes.

Falucka was established in 1999 when Sam selected the name from his days of smoking shisha on a falucka (sailing boat). Sam passionately passes his experiences to each customer when they enter Falucka.
