Famous Amadeus Pizza

DON’T DO IT!!! I ordered via SEAMLESS whick sucks as well, as charged $ 72 for an order… after waitin an hour and a half for an order that was supposed to be delivered within 20 – 40 minutes… after calling the restaurant directly, I was told I lived too far for them to deliver to me… I am out my $ 70 and food… by the way, the restaurant hung up on me… almost can’t believe it but this is NYC!

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience tonight. I searched for pizza delivery and this came highly recommended. We ordered calamari and a small half cheese half meat lovers pizza. The man on the phone who was very rude said it would take no more than 30 minutes. After one hour and fifteen minutes it finally arrived. The calamari smelled horrible as if it had been left out all day and the pizza was cold. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I’d give it zero stars if I could… bunch of goofballs and knuckleheads working there. They need to learn to CALM DOWN!

Seems like this is a recurring issue.
I placed an order through their online ordering system at 1:03 AM and it gave me an estimated delivery of 1:45AM.
I called to check in at 1:55AM and the Manager informed me that it would be there within 5 – 10 minutes.
I called back at 2:10 AM and the Manager put me on hold and said they forgot my order and then hung up. Reading through the reviews, it seems like they have dropped the ball a few times in this regard.

This place has the best pizza I’ve ever tried. I was going to see Wicked at the Gershwin Theater and wanted to eat lunch nearby. This is just a block away from Broadway. The Margherita Pizza is absolutely delicious; the crust was perfect, the sauce was perfect, the cheese was perfect, the basil was perfect, and the pizza overall was perfect.

Terrible place.
Ordered online, they called me to say they didn’t have what I wanted because their calzones are all pre made and frozen. Nice right? I said thats fine and just take it off the bill. 20 minutes after estimated delivery time, I called to check the status of my order. They said oh 5 minutes. Well 5 minutes came and went, so I called and asked again. They said another 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I called again only to hear it ring for 2 minutes. I called from another number and someone picked up within 10 seconds. Our food came an hour and a half late, the mozz sticks were so cold it was like they hadn’t been cooked. They charged me for what I had asked to be taken off the bill. I have called to ask for a refund but it just keeps on ringing. This place is trash and the customer service is trash too. They do not deserve your business and money.

Perfect late-​night NY pizza. They had the typical varieties and a couple more. We got the green pepper/​mushroom, caprese, and buffalo chicken slices. Yum.

Perfect for late night single slice escapades. Expect more, prepare for disappointment.

Ugh what a waste of Seamless. Tasteless and gross. Cheese and ingredients of such poor quality. I read a review by another native New Yorker who said this is a great place to get pizza from. As a native New Yorker, that guy’s New York card should be revoked. Please stay away for your own good. I’m a big guy and was very hungry. This disgusting arrangement of plopped shit in a box just made me angry.

I had to order 12 pizzas for a training I was facilitating, and this place was so accommodating of all of our various requests. The order went very smoothly and the pizza was great. The only problem was that we didn’t order enough and the attendees ate it all too quickly that there wasn’t enough left for us! But that’s a good problem to have. The service was friendly and great, and they even followed up to make sure we had a good experience. We will definitely be ordering from them again in the future!

After stopping at McDonald’s, we stopped in for pizza. A fresh pepperoni came out and it was greasy, cheesy, delicious, and a bit spicy. Drunken Slices is the only way to go for Famous Amadeus. The reason that is place gets 3 Stars is because of the horrible people that this place attracts. If you are not 2 – 3 sheets to the wind, then don’t come here.

my company orders pizza from here every friday and the pizza is good i cant say its bad at all. i personally would go to Z deli acorss the street for 1 dollar pizza vs 2.75. and garlic knots are 5 for 3 bucks ehhh but thats me yet again lol good spot. though

$ 11 for 3 1-​topping slices that didn’t have much flavor just isn’t worth it to me.
The pepperoni was greasy and I think the Margherita wasn’t actually Margherita, but I don’t know what else it could really be.
3 stars for an average pizza joint that, for 11 bucks, could fill me up without throwing up.

Pretty good pizza, but nothing to rave about.
Spent close to $ 11 on two slices with toppings and a bottle of water.

Qualifier: We went here around 3 in the morning, after having some quality brews at Rattle-​n-​hum and Ginger Man, and we were hankerin’ for a slice o’ pizza! No, it’s not a fancy gourmet pie, nor is it top shelf, super fresh, carefully crafted in front of your eyes pizza, a la one of the legendary NY pizza meccas not to be named here! Instead, it was solid thin crust (but not the burnt cardboard mega thin crispy crust) with nice, salty cheese and plentiful and tasty toppings.
I opted for a slice of pepperoni and mushroom, whilst my partner chose the meaty pepperoni and bacon. When she cheats on her primarily vegan — vegetarian — pescaterian diet she does it right! (smirk) I thoroughly enjoyed it, far more than the «gourmet» charred cardboardy crusted pizza we had earlier in the day at a well rated, more upscale pizza and pasta place. The two slices and a shared large soda cane to just over 10 bucks. My biggest complaint, though, was the cleanliness, or lack thereof. It didn’t seem dirty on a sickness — inducing basis, but the place had a good bit of napkins and other trash in the seating area.
Overall, an excellent late night option that thoroughly hit the spot!

Good Pizza at a decent price!
Can’t go wrong here! We got two slices of the pepperoni and sausage our first night in the city as a late night snack. The guys making the pizzas were great nice and friendly!

Good time, but I think they Scottie’d me. (Told me it’d take longer so I’d be happier when it got here early — I can’t trust Unilocal readers to get my Star Trek references…)
I ordered a chicken parm hero because that’s what I wanted, and a slice of pizza because that’s really how I judge everyone.
The pizza had a very thin crust, but I think it suffered a bit due to delivery — wrapped up in its own grease, it got to me floppy and soggy. There was good taste in there, but I really, really cannot overstate the levels of grease.
The chicken parm hero was much better. First of all, it was generous — I had a hard time fitting the whole thing in my mouth, and I have a pretty big mouth (ask anyone!) The chicken was good, the sauce was acceptable — my only real complaint was a sense of saltiness that kept me really thirsty through the whole meal. I suspect the cheese.
Overall, in the middle of a weeknight, you could do worse by far. However, if you have other options, definitely consider them, because grease and salt only look worse in the light of day. Sorry Amadeus, but I’m not feeling rocked.

We ordered the Famous Amadeus Pizza for our movie night. We craved pizza the entire day and the delivery arrived just in time and was in the right size.
The mini size it’s great for a couple! The pizza arrived hot and the texture was awesome.
We enjoyed it very much and for sure will order it again!
Highly recommended and affordable!
