I’ve been here three times. Got food poisoning the first and third time. Giving two stars because I tried the garlic knots on trip two and was relatively satisfied.

Wow. I was surprised by how many bad reviews this place has. I’ve been ordering from this place for NYU corporate events because they’re really close and they have never given me any trouble. They’ve been on time and I haven’t had any issues with their charges. That’s more than I can say for Mercato, which charged us for another department’s expense or Bleecker Street pizza, which was great pizza, but delivered half an hour late. Famiglia’s pizza is not great, but they’re prompt, they deliver hot pizzas, they’ve always provided good service when I’ve made large orders, and they respect tax exempt and take credit cards.

High in calories; low in satisfaction. The best thing about this place is it looks relatively clean, natural light, actually nice staff, and student discount(10% — NYU students only.) I got a pepperoni calzone, and the whole was NOT more than the sum of its parts. That being relatively tasteless bread, without the«disgustingly good» flavor that we crave from baked Italian goods of equivalent oiliness, decent and pleasantly spicy pepperoni, bland marinara sauce in a Solo cup on the side, and cheese… rather weird stuff that wasn’t smooth, chewy and stringy like normal melted mozzarella, but instead like a liquidy, almost powdery white substance which was NOT delicious. Micro-curds. Do you understand? I asked the kind cashier lady for a cup of water, and she gave me water from the fountain tap with ice and a lid and everything, but that tasted weird too! Like, almost garbage-y yet slightly lemony(sharing the spout with lemonade) as if the machine hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The pizza slices might deserve the overall three stars, only if they don’t use that same cheese. However, I won’t be back to find out.

Great pizza and garlic knots with enough garlic to keep vampires away! The pizza crust was thin and crunch– my kind of perfect! Had the white with tomato and hubby the pepperoni. Fast service. Kind of hole in the wall dining area but decent enough and a worker bee buzzes around cleaning the tables and with a smile! We will come back again when we visit the City!

Great place. Food is great! I got the chicken Parmesan and a slice of pizza. Employees were nice and I would totally recommend to others :)

Ate here last night before seeing a show. My kid got baked ziti, she said it was ok. My partner got a chicken calzone, which was ehh but edible. For myself and my kid’s friend pizza which was also ok. Good but nothing to brag about. Tip: pizza is extremely hot out of the oven, watch your mouth so you don’t get burned. Secondly, watch they don’t overcharge for fountain drinks– they rung me up for larges and we got regular sizes and refills are a dollar each. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize about the price until we left.

This place has been here for a long time and while its not the most amazing pizza in the city, it is good enough for a quick lunch if you are short on time. Slices are a decent size and prices are fair. Décor is typical pizza shop with the obligatory pictures of celebrities that have eaten there. The location is one of its strong points — right next to the train so easy to get something on the go.

Pizza was so delicious! Happy to come across it as we were starving, then happier to find out it was in the Celebrity Apprentice! Made it a cooler experience. Staff was very nice.

Ordered the chicken parm with spaghettit. I threw the whole thing away after three bites. After my first bite I told myself I might be able to tolerate the taste of blend pasta. But after my second bite the chicken tasted dry and soggy. Tried once more bite for good measure and i just cant eat it. Not to mention I paid $ 9.15 for the meal. Never ordering here again!

Solid piece of pizza if you’re in a hurry and need a quick slice for lunch which is exactly why my coworkers and I stopped. Seriously there isn’t much more to say. Recommend.

I have eaten here on a few occasions. The pizza is ok just your basic NY style pizza. Pizza can vary from neighborhood to neighborhood and the ingredients are some what similar but not identical. I mean pizzas can vary from the dough used, the sauces and the cheeses on top or underneath. The sauce here is quite pedestrian and the cheeses very oily so not top shelf. I dont mind a slice here and there from this place just to satisfy my empty tummy.

I’ve frequently come here for a few years when I visit the city. I love the location of it. It’s right next to great stores and the locations itself has been there for many years-before Greenwich village got their rebooted face lift. Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that I will be back. I like the photos on the wall of the famous clientele that has been there over the years. I also like the fact that, within the past year or so, they’ve added TVs in place of menus. They added a refrigerator on the outside with sodas they did not have before. The food itself is good. I recently had a chicken roll which was the best I’ve had in quite a while. The place is pricey but… Kind of worth it. The people your with make it better. And, outlets in certain tables are awesome.

Solid food, great presentation and fairly priced. Service could be a little better, not very friendly at the cashier, maybe its just a New York thing. The guys who warm up your slices and clean up tables are awesome though. Really convenient as its located right on Broadway /8th, near NYU and the NQR station is directly in front of the building. Overall this location was well kept even though it was busy. PS– BOMBMARINARASAUCE!

Bewildering that this place is still in business considering the reviews they’ve got on here and if what my experience here today is anything to go by. Girls, counter guys here make sure you receive amazing(ly creepy) service. Especially you’re scantily clad and they find you to be more attractive than other females in the establishment. Both the cashier and the cook will give you their undivided attention during your alcohol sponsored 21 question order process, and then you’ll even get your food brought over to your table. So, ladies with tight clothes and loose morals, this might be a good choice for you because you’ll be guaranteed dedicated service with a smile. At least there’s one thing they’re good at. In most pizza places, a cashier and a cook generally take care of different people at the same time. Especially during a busy rush on a weekend in Manhattan. If you don’t fit the description that of which I laid out above, expect extremely dismissive service that makes it seem as though its physically hurting them to have to do their jobs. Eyes were rolled and there were huffs and puffs from both sides of the counter, yet the outnumbered side seemed to have it down to such a science that the line of people just couldn’t compete. Pizza was sub-par and I’m being EXTREMELY generous. I eat pizza probably 3+ times a week. For shame, I know, but I also know good pizza and this… doesn’t cut it. Super bland to match the disgusting paint job on the wall, save for one wall covered in photos of workers with celebrities, which all looked as though they could have been taken over 5 years ago. I should have walked out like I really wanted to after ordering, I had the chance when the cashier was licking his lips at the girls placing their order. As badly as I needed to use the restroom I opted out. I have a feeling that would’ve warranted another couple of paragraphs and a mild case of ptsd.

The food was bottom-tier but that was expected coming here. What I didn’t expect was the girl at the register shortchanging me on purpose and playing dumb with what I ordered.

Nothing famous at Famiglia. Blah! After a two and half hour ordeal at nearby AT&T to resolve many complex requests, I yearn for substance. One slice pizza of Mozzarella with tomatoes was surely the blandest I’ve ever tasted yet rather cold. Unknowingly I was very short on cash, thus swiped plastic for payment which to an utter shock for one pizza slice and one bottle of Kiwi Snapple Ice Tea totaled an unfathomably nasty $ 6.50! The pizza was extremely dry and bland for lack of flavor and taste. Seating is sufficient amid the whereabouts of any facilities. Servers are cold and regard customers like machines for servicing an assembling line for impersonal mass production. The wannabe Famous Famiglia offers a student discount specifically to New York University students. It is a far cry from the sales puffery claim of «famous»!
