History
Established in 2008.
In March 2008, FIFI projects opened its first gallery space in Miami’s Wynwood Art District.
Prior to opening FIFI projects in Miami, its director, Eduardo Lopez, had been involved with Proyectos Monclova Gallery and Celeste Magazine –both in Mexico City– and was also the director and head curator of the Luis Adelantado Gallery in Miami, FL.
Managing partner Hugo Lopez has been involved in international business for the past decade.
In 2009 FIFI projects opened its doors in New York’s Lower East Side with the group show Crown Of The Lost, a collection of photographs focusing on the foreboding aspects of nature and the inevitable decay of beauty. It also features 5 new artists; Mathias Kessler (Austria), Christoph Morlinghaus (Germany), Aldo Chaparro (Peru), Debra Holt (New York) and Julie Pike (Norway).
Also scheduled for 2009 is a new projects space in Monterrey, Mexico.
