I had the same problem with picking up my UPS package here. UPS Access Points do not charge to pick up packages and this place is. I called UPS to report this issue because this place is scamming people.

Beware! This place is scamming UPS customers! We live in the neighborhood and have had two separate instances where UPS has delivered our packages there(without us authorizing it) and they try to charge you $ 2 to pick it up. We called UPS and verified this should NOT be the case. I saw them try to scam another customer attempting to ship something; they claimed you cannot print a UPS label and drop it off, they have to do it for you. That’s not the case according to UPS. I left my package there to be sent back and will deal with it. It’s only $ 2 but it’s the principle, I refuse to patronize scam artists!

Alan who runs this store is an incredibly nice guy — who also happens to run a great business. Not only can you rent movies and get snacks to go with them here(he also delivers) but he offers electronics repair, a copy/fax machine and mail acceptance. Alan accepted our packages for five years on the UES — he’ll call when they arrive and charge a nominal handling fee($ 1−2/pkg).

My Samsung TV began having problems turning on and off— I had to think. should I have it repaired or replaced as it was already 5 years old. I found 5th Dimension online and they gave me the choice of having the TV picked up, or having a repairman fix it at my apt. Even though it was more expensive I chose the latter. The man came on time, took maybe 20 minutes to fix it and it’s been working well ever since. Thought it was a little pricey, but certainly less expensive than buying a new TV. I would recommend!
