First Steps Academy

My 3 yr old son has been attending this school since December and I couldn’t be happier! The staff is caring, compassionate and hard working. The school is brand new and is a clean, safe and orderly environment that I feel very comfortable leaving my child in. The kids love each other and the teachers. They go on daily outings to the park, library and local shops to learn about the community.
My child is happy going to school every day and is constantly talking about what he’s learning that week (weather, colors, seasons, letters,…) or what adventure he’s been on with his friends. I also feel a sense of family from the staff as well as the other parents. This is a very sweet school that all parents of young children should know about! I highly recommend First Steps on Clinton.

My twin 2 year old daughters began attending First Steps Academy in January. Myself and my children are very happy it. The entire staff is very compassionate and nurturing which goes hand in hand with the warm and friendly environment. My children are constantly coming home with little art projects done in class. They take trips to the park daily and also to the library weekly which is great. The center is bright, colorful and always kept VERY clean which is a must for me! I’ve noticed that my girls have learned and thrived immensely since they’ve began attending and I’m very happy with my choice to join the First Steps Academy family!

My two year old son attends First Steps Academy on Clinton Street and we are very happy with it. The staff is hard working, warm and enthusiastic. The children are happy and engaged. The weekly lesson plans and themes give the parents a great picture of what their child is doing at school. As a side note, although it is in the same location as the failed preschool «Love A Lot» it is not in any way connected to the old school. I was a parent at Love A Lot and would not have sent my son to this school if there was any affiliation. First Steps Academy is a great value, they are almost always open and accommodate both early morning drop-​offs (7:30) and full time parents’ schedules (6pm pickups) and everything in between. They also provide meals throughout the day which encourages the children to share their meals and creates a family style lunch. It is an adorable school. I recommend it highly.
