Description

Specialties

I specialize in weight loss, weight management, nutrition for athletes and performers, food addiction counseling, anxiety and depression (and how it relates to food), digestive disorders and stress management.

As a holistic nutrition counselor, personal chef and cooking instructor, my goal is to help you discover the foods that help you thrive.

I will help you identify the food habits and eating patterns that aren’t serving you — and help you create new ones to shape your most vibrant self.

I am all about empowering you to take on your own health: even the smallest steps count towards shifting your wellbeing, your body and your mind for good.

I am here to help you understand how food affects you, how to work with it, and how to feel fabulous while you do. Your health starts with great food and joyful habits. Let’s start from the ground up.

We provide coaching by phone, in-home classes, meal delivery and meal planning.

History

Established in 2013.

FTGU was established to help clients reestablish their relationship with food, finding connection between energy, emotions, stress, and overall happiness, beginning with how we eat and why we eat the way we do.

I am a Holistic Health Coach who has tackled my own journey of weight-loss and overcoming food addiction. When I lost weight and said goodbye to anxiety, I lost self-doubt and fear.

The best part of this work is being able to help other women (and men!) discover their unique capacity to thrive — and how this touches every other aspect of their lives, from career to relationships to creating a sense of self.

Meet the Business Owner

Amy H.

Business Owner

I believe that we should eat like we love ourselves.

We should honor the value of the food we put into our bodies and make conscious choices about how we fuel ourselves every day.

I believe that great habits around food and eating last a lifetime: we have the opportunity to teach our families — and re-teach ourselves — what it means to feel fantastic with every bite we take. It is miraculous what more plants and more real food can do for the body.

I also believe that the influence of our environment and the people around us key pieces to finding our most thriving selves. Food doesn’t exist in a vacuum, so we need to look at all the factors impacting what, when, and why we eat. Time-efficient, delicious options do exist!

One mindful, positive change at a time, we can find a way to live vibrantly. My own journey with food gives me a understanding of what you’re dealing with: we can discuss your challenges openly and honestly and implement realistic steps to reach your goals.
