Fruitstand 43

This is without question the finest fruitstand in Midtown and possibly in the city. I’ve visited a bunch of them and Fruitstand 43 has one of the finest selections of any out there — tons of fruits and vegetables, even some of the more obscure offerings, and they are even open late as I have stopped here past midnight some evenings. The selection is fantastic but the customer service is really their ace in the hole — by far the friendliest, most helpful and most knowledgeable people I have come across at such an establishment. I used to come here 3−4x weekly when I lived at the Riverbank West on 43^rd and 11^th — I still make a special trip up here weekly from the financial district. Highly recommended.

Fruitstand43 has been number one and will remain the same hopefully in Manhattan. We do our best to keep it that way. As far as the prices are concerned, we do keep our prices as low as possible. If you see higher prices some times it is because there is shortage of those fruits or veggies which we pay a lot more then before, that’s why we put the prices according the wholesale price we pay .
We do have very nice and polite customers and we do our best to treat you all the way you treat us .

This fruit stand used to be my daily to go place in the neighborhood, for delicious berries and unbeatable price, not sure why after 2015 it has been gone down hill, in terms of price and customer service. Only banana 5 for 1 and cucumber 2 for 1 are the only good deals remain, the rest is not as good as used to be, price went up a lot, with that you can shop in Brooklyn fare, or Tara/​Big apple meat market nearby with same price pay by card.
If you don’t mind a bit hike down to 25^rd and 8^th or 23^rd 9^th fruit stand, which has much better amazing deals.
