We carry all sorts of vintage and antique furniture and styles: Industrial, Mid Century, Danish Modern, Farm Style, Shabby Chic, you name it! Our entire selection of vintage furniture is available to view and purchase on our website. And it is updated with new items daily!

History

Established in 2006.

Furnish Green’s owner, Nathan Hescock, began selling antique and vintage furniture out of his dance studio, which is still operating in the same space as New York Partner Dance, about 10 years ago. With the help of Craigslist, word-​of-​mouth, professional photographs, and great taste, Furnish Green has grown into the eco-​friendly and design oriented brand that it is today. Every piece of furniture in the shop is hunted, reclaimed, repurposed and refinished for New York City living. Furnish Green’s philosophy is to provide young and creative local consumers with unique, well-​made, long-​lasting and reasonably priced pieces of furniture so that they can design their own spaces in a meaningful way.

I would NEVER have found out about this place if it weren’t for Unilocal’s determination in helping to separate me from my money.
Got a gorgeous 1960’s bachelors chest for less than what I would have paid to get some random one from Macys. Delivery was an extra $ 100 but always worth it in this city.
It’s one of those places where everything is used/​vintage/​from some estate sale you wish you’d gone to, and inventory changes by the hour. You’ll never see the same thing twice so if you like something, buy it cause you’ll never see it again.
All in all, one of my favorite NYC furniture shops.

This is actually the first time I take a moment to rate a place on Unilocal but these guys truly deserve a 5-​star. I’ve recently moved here from Europe and I’ve been to many vintage shops, flea markets both in Manhattan and Brooklyn. This place is clearly one of the best I went to, not just because they have quite a good selection, but most importantly because they put a FAIR price on every piece. Perfect place if you’re looking for affordable mid-​century stuff. A NYC gem!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I just moved and needed some new pieces that were unique. They have a great selection that is in good condition and at a great price. I bought an office chair and planned to take it home myself, but got sick all of a sudden and called to arrange for delivery. They were so nice and took care of that for me over the phone easily. They even take great care when they deliver your items. Love this place and will be back!

Cool spot for vintage furniture. A little difficult to find though. Look for the office building and make your way to the 3rd floor. You can also check out their stuff online, but always good to see it in person too.

Don’t be thrown off by the weird location of this place (in a nondescript office building in Flatiron). This place is a hidden gem, with awesome, affordable vintage furniture. You know all the snooty Brooklyn antique shops where you go and stare wistfully at furniture you’ll never be able to afford while the shopkeep glowers at you if you touch something? Yeah, this is the opposite of that. Check out what’s available on their website before you go!

The inconspicuous location and space of this store is almost the most attractive part. One can easily spend an hour or more just walking through and checking the price tags on things. Nothing is dirt cheap but one can certainly find great deals here and the staff is very helpful.

bought a mirror here awhile back, they have a listing on
. I love the mirror I got from this place. I was able to call and put down 20−30% of the total over the phone, came by a couple days later to pick up my purchase. The store itself was upstairs in some random building near Herald Sq, 34th st… there’s no ‘store front’ per se… luckily, they offered to carry the mirror down to the street and into a cab because it was heavy as hell. Too bad it’s too far for me to just come by and browse but they have good taste and prices are reasonable.

Furnish Green is great! Not only is their furniture beautiful and inexpensive, the service is unbeatable. I have been shopping with them for 5 years now, and wouldn’t turn to anyone else. I recently had a minor issue with an order and they wrote a very nice email and promptly gave me a refund.

If the piece has made it this far, it’s a good piece to have… and it’s already assembled and it’s green!
For those who have boycotted Ikea furniture, are seeking a little quirk and character, and are on a budget…
The showroom is like a very well lit, well organized storage room with that slightly musty smell of an antique store (love it!). The guys working there are friendly and helpful with suggestions. They know the inventory well and care about furniture.
Rumor has it they might be moving locations, but the midtown location is easy to get to. and totally unexpected.
I wish more people bought there stuff here instead of the big box places (I’m guilty of it too, so I’ll get off my creaky, self assembled West Elm soapbox…)

With two showrooms, his place has a huge selection of high quality vintage furniture that is priced very inexpensively. The quality of the furniture is good and the salespeople are helpful. They deliver to Brooklyn for a very reasonable flat fee. I’ll definitely be back as I start to furnish my new apartment!

Interesting secondhand furniture at great prices. Everyone working there has always been very helpful and friendly.
We initially bought some wooden folding chairs from the 30’s with a cute leaf cutout on the back. We were so happy with those, we came back for a table that expands from the middle– functional, good-​looking, and at a fair price.
This place shines in comparison to the other «vintage furniture» stores dotted all over Brooklyn, where everything you touch is $ 1000+

Great vintage and used furniture store. Super helpful and polite. I came looking for a desk chair that I saw on their site. They helped me find it in their showrooms, let me wheel it around, and even sat on the floor with me to see if it raised and lowered. It was a no pressure sale and I’ll certainly come back to visit (and will keep cracking their website).

I love this place! I saw a table I liked online and went down to see it in person. I took my five-​year old with me and she had a great time looking at the vintage furniture and accessories. She even found a cute pink chair for herself! The staff was great, they let us wander without hovering but were helpful when we had questions. It was easy to arrange shipping and everything was delivered quickly and easily.

We came in and saw the leather upholstered chairs and then bought them. There were two guys who were working there. The delivery guys came two hours later… but at least they told us by phone there would be a delay. Everything came shrinkwrapped making it a safe trip for our delivery.

Before you go to Ikea, come here. You can find a unique, more satisfying addition to your home for the same price (or lower). I just bought a trunk/​coffee table for $ 68. They’re selection is carefully curated — you don’t have to sift through crap to get to good stuff. And nice that they have much of it on their website.

I had such a nice experience with Furnish Green. The piece I liked on the website had been sold by the time I got to the showroom, but I looked at a similar piece and decided against it. I then found a dresser I really liked, as well as an end table. Both were really fairly priced, especially compared to prices I’d seen for new stuff at Macy’s and other boutique furniture stores.
They painted the dresser for me and had it ready before the estimate. The price was great, too. And the delivery guys were absolutely fantastic – they even carried my crappy old Ikea dresser down the stairs for me and dumped it at the curb where it belongs. I will definitely be going back to Furnish Green – they have these really cute wine goblets that I should’ve picked up when I was there.
