I am not sure why many people have not reviewed this yet. But this traditional spa turns into a hot club at night! Yes that’s right. They put plexiglass over the spa tubs and place seats over it. The dj spins the best music too. It’s a small lounge and it’s quite intimate. There is also a bar in case you are not getting table service you can stand by the bar and walk around a bit to check out the scene. If you are here for the rooftop w/seems to draw in the crowds stop by and check this place out as well.

I haven’t been here for over a year and half but I will always remember my sister’s 21st birthday party day 2 was here. No line, awesome table service, can dance and act crazy without worrying about every creeper in NY trying to get on you. Ok, that last part might be because we were rolling deep with guys that night.

Oh man, 2.5 stars — Ami V. was right, New Yorkers are harsh! Come on, this is a fun concept(underground micro-club with hot tubs on the dance floor). They’ll even let you take a nap there! For sure, it’s nothing so cool as would merit the long lines, but skip them by walking up to the front desk, chatting with them about the weather, and then walking downstairs to G Spa. Is this place even still open?

I understand some people don’t like this place, but if you’ve got some money to blow, this is a cool place to act like a «scenester» and have people crane their necks to try to figure out who just ordered all those drinks in that private VIP area. Gold-diggers will flock to you if you’re a small group of guys that are flashing a little bit of green… we had a good time playing the«up and coming young entrepreneurs» that night, haha! 1 cool thing — the hot tubs in the club area were nuts. The DJ was also really good… I’ve never heard a DJ give love to Virginia area rappers the way this guy did, so he gets 5 stars in my book. Tip to get in — wear suits, grease the doorman’s palms a bit and you should get right in and be ready for a night full of looking like somebody famous :)

I like this place because its nothing like all the other high end clubs. Selective door policy = no line. They let you know right away if you can get in. Very private, exclusive, and good crowd. It’s not a place to get wasted and dance. The place is too small for that. We always get one of the two tables that have a plexiglass over the jacuzzi and it has the best view of the club. Don’t know what nights are good since i haven’t visited in a while but if need a break from the crowd but still looking for the club vibe, head to G Spa. Music: 3 Crowd: 4 Atmosphere: 3.5

We ended up here b/c we were unwilling to wait in the line for the rooftop bar. The first super annoying thing is that the bouncer kept telling me my ID was bad and wasn’t going to let me in(I don’t know how that scanner thing is supposed to work, but apparently it doesn’t like Georgia IDs)! Come on– I am 27, not 17! I had to show him my government ID and bar association card to convince him that I couldn’t possibly be under 21. Anyway, the scene was just kind of cheezy– lots of hair gel and acrylic nails. We didn’t stay long…

interesting concept, but i always feel weird being underground — i’d much rather feel fresh air. the hot tubs were cool looking, but after seeing a bunch of girls splashing around in them, i must wonder what the bacteria content must be. 3 stars for the great dj, and pseudo-sultry décor. Probably won’t go back on my own volition, unless I am invited like last time.

it’s a cool place. so what? i dont see a point of jacuzzi in the middle of this place — you don’t even get in there. or do you??? you see some pretty people there, but that’s it. totally overpriced, overrated place. good scene but waste of money.

Cool bar if you are into walking down several flight of stairs(not good in heels) to spend your evening and all your cash in a chlorine filled environ. It’s a scenster place with a great DJ, but be prepared to be treated like garbage if you aren’t a big time celeb. Oh and if you can afford the table minimums — watch out for the extra costs that get tacked onto your bill. Unfortch the is no light to read the bills so you’ll only notice them when your credit card statement arrives.

A very chichi-miki scenester bar located in the basement of the Hotel Gansevoort. It features hot tubs and waitresses in bathrobes. Whatever scenester cred might have been granted by the presence of Lindsay Lohan was completely undone by the presence of me. Cute concept, but the chlorine hurt my eyes.
