Dr. Gallina is truly the BEST doctor!!! I had 2 ankle replacements, first surgery in March 2015 and the other ankle in January 2016 and I couldn’t be more happier with the results. I am almost fully recovered and walking with no pain. Dr. Gallina bedside manner is wonderful, she is very sincere and understanding. She always took the time out to check in and make sure I was okay after both surgeries. I highly recommend Dr. Gallina if you are looking for an amazing and professional Doctor!

Wonderful manner and very attentive. Dr. Gallina truly takes the time to understand and listen to me as a patient. Had toe/​plantar plate surgery a couple of weeks ago, and she has taken the time to call me from her cell phone to discuss any issues I have had (pain or needed different medication, etc.). I appreciate her as my doctor who cares and pays attention despite me whining about pain or whatever the case may be. Thank you to Dr Gallina and her staff.

There just are no words to truly show how much I appreciate Dr Gallina. She truly is a great doctor who cares about her patients. She’s been treating me and seeing me for a fractured foot/​plantar issue and she’s just been amazing. I haven’t fully healed and she took the time to call me and give me her cell # in case I had any problems and even made time to see me today to check my foot out again, even though she was fully booked and that really meant a lot to me. I already feel better after seeing her today and hopefully the recovery will come along. Can’t recommend her more!

Overbooks.
I visited her once. I waited for 45 minutes and then told the receptionists that I can’t wait any longer for a consultation appointment. Two other people in the reception area said that there wait time there is consistently two hours. I told them that they shouldn’t accept that. The receptionist ushered me into an empty room and said I was next.
At 55 minutes I put my jacket on. At the 1 hour mark the doctor walked in and I said that I had to go, and told her she unacceptably overbooked. She said she had two emergency visits that day and I said you have to accommodate for those every day. She asked if I’d like her to just take a look at my foot. I said if you did that then I’d be paying you to ‘just take a look’ at my foot — which has zero value to me.
She should get with the program and start running her practice based on quality of care, vs. quantify of patients.

After my podiatrist told me I had arthritis and a fractured ankle that would require 6 weeks in a giant moon boot, my physical therapist suggested I get a second opinion. I went to Jessica and right away she sat me down and walked me through everything showing me the MRI to explain that where my fracture was it had already healed the best it could and that there were no signs of arthritis. I had been stressed for the past 4 weeks (how long i had been wearing the boot) she was genuinely sorry that I got the wrong information and made me feel confident with a great understanding of what my options were when it comes to my ankle. Since I am not in pain we aren’t doing surgery but if I ever did need it I’d definitely go to Dr. Gallina.

If I could give her more than 5 stars I would! She has now completed 2 surgeries for me on my ankle and although they have both been painful in nature, she has been there every step of the process to help me through it. My only complaint is the wait time in her NY office, some days I am seen within 15 minutes, other times I have waited for up to 90 min. That being said, she is worth waiting for. She is competent, thorough and really one of the nicest people I have ever met. Highly recommended!

Dr. Gallina was the surgeon who repaired my ruptured Achilles tendon. During the pre-​surgical consultation, the surgery itself, and the follow-​up visits, I was deeply impressed by her intelligence, skill, and compassion. I recommend her without reservation.

I feel bad having to knock off a star… but now that I’ve found a doctor who figured out the issue after asking a few simple questions, seems like a podiatrist should have thought to ask the same questions, and be guided to the same prognosis.
The core of my current issue derives from a history of severe sprains and ligament tears as an adolescent and young adult which were never followed up with PT after they healed. Not something I’d think would affect the feet one-​to-​two decades after the fact. But makes sense that a podiatrist would immediately think to inquire about such things.
Mind you, Dr. Gallina was very nice/​warm/​welcoming, she responded to my follow up emails after I reported the diagnosis given by the neurologist she recommended, and she really seemed like she was giving me all that came to mind for her. Still, a few simple questions missed resulted in multiple unnecessary tests.
No one is perfect, and doctors will always eventually miss something with some patient. You may not be that patient for Dr. Gallina. But I can’t give 4-​stars to a doc who missed the root of my problem.

Called this doctors office this morning, and the rep who answered the phone was extremely rude, and she even hung up on me. So very very unprofessional! Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but that type of attitude should never be show cased in a professional environment.

I’ve already referred my neighbor who is equally as pleased with the amount and quality of time that Dr. Gallina spends with her patients during a visit. Never rushed, always with attention to detail, and yet rarely keeps you waiting.
I was referred to her by my sports physical therapist, who told me that she had some of the most successful and quick post-​ops they have seen. I’m an avid skier and following ACL knee surgery I wanted to make sure that my recent ankle surgery didn’t take me out for another season.
I couldn’t give a stronger review! She’s great and her staff is courteous.
