Ten years ago, I had rhinoplasty done with an awful plastic surgeon who left my septum just as deviated it was before and did not enhance the appearance much at all. I was extremely hesitant to leave my face in the hands of another surgeon but after 10 years of waiting and thorough research, I felt confident that Dr. Bennett could fix my septum and the appearance of my crooked nose.
Our first consultation was an hour long; he really took his time to answer my questions and calm my nerves. I scheduled my surgery with confidence. Any questions I had leading up to the surgery were answered by the doctor or his lovely staff.
Everyone at the surgical center was great. Post-​surgery I felt great. I had minimal bruising, and really enjoyed not having had my nose packed, as I did in my first surgery. The doctor called every day to check on me until I met with him 6 days later.
Three weeks later I’m feeling amazing! My septum has been fixed and my breathing is awesome. My nose looks so much better. It’s not the typical nose you get from just a plastic surgeon; its a fine-​tuned version of my old nose.
Overall, it was a great experience and I will recommend him to anyone I know in a similar predicament!

I cannot stress enough how amazing Dr Bennet is! After I broke my nose, I went to numerous reputable doctors for consultations but none could compare to Dr Bennett. He’s so knowledgable and compassionate. He was the easy choice for my surgery. Six months later my nose looks and feels amazing. The best doctor in NYC.

I had my septum «corrected» and a sinus reduction and rhinoplasty by Dr. Bennett back in 2010, it was the worst mistake i’ve made in my LIFE. Now 5 years later I still can’t breathe out of my right nostril its completely blocked and barely out of my left, I wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air. I now get non stop sinus infections and have really bad pressure around my nose and in my cheek area. To top it off my nose is completely uneven from the front view looks like the broke my nose, because of this I wear a hat everywhere I go, I’m embarrassed of how my nose looks. I went from a great looking nose with breathing problems to a horrible looking nose that I can’t breathe out off at all to I’ve since went back in to speak with Dr. Bennett about my problems I’ve been having in hopes he would agree to fix this HUGE mess up since he did tell me I could come back anytime if I have problems and he would just correct it and he was very quick and really uninterested with any concerns and problems since I now have a different insurance provider he does not accept. I was accompanied by my partner who is also a doctor and he was in shock by the way he greeted me and about his feed back. Now i’m looking into legal advice about this and also in the process of saving for revision rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and sinus reduction to correct this. I WOULD NOT recommend Dr. Bennett to anyone and seemed so nice but turn out being a real piece of work.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bennett! After having been to countless doctors regarding my chronic sinusitis (most of whom either prescribed tons of medicine or told me to «live with it»), he was the first doctor to take me seriously. He listened and was extremely kind. After having sinus surgery with Dr. Bennett my career as a singer and quality of life have greatly improved. Furthermore, his staff has been very attentive and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Bennett to anyone suffering from sinus issues.

Dr. Bennett and his entire staff are incredible. I came in with sinus and breathing issues and Dr. Bennett listened carefully to all of my concerns and came up with a plan to fix them. I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention I received from the first visit, through the surgery, follow ups in the days after surgery, and post op visits. I’m so happy with my results and felt comfortable and in good hands the entire time and couldn’t be happier that I decided on Dr. Bennett.

I am writing this review, something I normally do not do, because of how great my experience with Dr. Bennett was. This surgery has changed my life. I had a deviated septum as well as an overgrowth of cartilage due to a laundry list of injuries. As an athletic person/​yogi, correct breathing is a crucial part of my every day. Not only have my abilities flourished after surgery, but my sleeping patterns have greatly improved as well. I can now sleep straight through the night and I no longer snore! It has only been 5 months since my surgery but It seems that my constant sinus infections have finally found a cure as well! Dr. Bennett and his staff made me feel comfortable right from the first appointment. They worked with my insurance and I and made sure everything ran smoothly. He kept in touch with me daily the week after my surgery walking me through my healing process very patiently. He did a beautiful job. It looks amazing, healed quickly and feels great!

This is the first time I left a review for a doctor that I haven’t seen. I called to inquire about allergy issues and right away Dr. Bennett’s receptionist/​assistant gave me good recommendation and referral to another good doctor first as a more logical route to take. They have my best interest in mind and it shows. Such quality of service is rare with most of the private practices in Manhattan due to the high cost of running a business — and some of them know there are lots of money floating around in this city. I hope the practice will keep up with this level of integrity for years to come.

Dr. Bennett is an excellent doctor! I had a deviated septum for about 3 years. I had sinus surgery 2 years ago by an ENT specialist and it did not completely fix my breathing. I was referred to Dr. Bennett by a friend. He was great from the first consultation. I was very nervous and worried about having a second surgery to correct my breathing problem. He was compassionate, addressed my issue and took the time to explain everything so I can understand it. The big difference between Dr. Bennett and the other ENT specialist I went to is Dr. Bennett took the time to get to know me personally and treated me with respect by listening to all of my concerns. Overall, I am very highly satisfied with Dr. Bennett. I healed in about 7 days and I was back to my normal daily routines. He sets multiple follow ups after the surgery to make sure you are healing as intended. Now, I can breathe, sleep and exercise better than before! I would highly recommend Dr. Bennett to anyone with any kind of nose or sinus problems. Dr. Bennett’s office is very nice, professional and conveniently located in midtown east. His staff are also very welcoming. Dr. Bennett is the best in NYC! I wish I would have gone to him for my first sinus surgery. Dr. Bennett’s office is the best office I have been to by far! I went to his office after getting a referral from a fellow patient of his and am so glad that I did. I had been experiencing several sinus infections and terrible allergies each year. I was in and out of offices for several years with no solution that ever seemed to keep. The sinus infection’s kept re-​occurring.
When scheduling my first appointment, the office staff was extremely friendly and even offered to check my insurance benefits for me to ensure I’d be covered.
When I arrived at the office, I was welcomed by the staff with a cheery hello. They create a welcoming and positive environment the moment you enter the door. I felt comfortable and assured that I was in good hands when at Dr. Bennett’s office. I knew that I was being taken care of by people that truly wanted to help.
At my appointment, Dr. Bennett looked in my nose and discussed the problems I was experiencing and what was causing them to happen. He was very detailed in explaining to me how the sinuses work and in giving me a diagnosis. Everything he said made so much sense and made me realize why I’ve experienced the problems I have in the past.
He was able to see that I had a deviated septum and described how it affects my body in other ways. I had no idea that my constant sinus infections, difficulty breathing at night, severe allergies and migraines all were a direct result of my deviated septum.
I ended up going forward with the septoplasty and sinus surgery and am extremely thankful that I did! I never imagined that I would be able to breathe so well in my life. I’m sleeping better as a result and therefore waking up more rested and full of energy as well. I’m also very happy to say that I have not gotten a single sinus infection since my surgery 2 years ago!

Dr. Bennett and his staff epitomize what every medical office should strive to be — caring and compassionate professionals who put medicine before dollar signs. My nose was broken on a Sunday, called Dr. Bennett’s office first thing Monday morning, and I was fit into the schedule right away. He reset my nose, put it back in the center of my face, and made it look good as new. I can’t thank him enough. The office itself is just a great, comforting environment to be in — the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. If you have a broken nose — go to Dr. Bennett. If you have sinus problems — go to Dr. Bennett. Heck, break your nose on purpose just to go see Dr. Bennett — you’ll thank me later!

The most professional and accommodating doctor I’ve ever met. The office staff was as top notch as the doctor. My son broke his nose boxing and Dr. Bennett put us both at ease with the smoothest bedside manner. The staff wedged us in on short notice, the doc reset the nose while explaining the process as he went along. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

For nearly a year, I had been suffering from severely painful sinus congestion and sinus headaches. My primary care physician recommended that I meet with an ENT /​sinus surgeon to discuss treatment options. I searched Google for top sinus surgeons in NYC and found Dr. Bennett’s website. I booked a consultation for the following week and was impressed time and time again, starting from the moment I walked into his office.
The entire experience was so much different than what I had experienced at other doctor offices in every possible facet, which is why I give Dr. Bennett five stars. I rated him one star for each of the following categories:

STAFF — I was immediately greeted with a choice of tea, coffee or water, and led to the waiting area. I had some questions about my insurance coverage, and the Office Manager, Meaghan, told me that she would take care of contacting my provider while I was in my consultation.
As promised, after Dr. Bennett and I had finished talking, I met with Meaghan and she explained my coverage in simple detail. She clearly answered all of my questions and worked with my insurance provider to obtain the best coverage for my procedures. Meaghan is kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable — a true asset to Dr. Bennett’s practice.
The rest of his staff is also friendly and helpful — a refreshing sight after encountering so many apathetic, scowling office managers at other offices. dr. bennett’s staff also puts together a handy «goodie bag» for you before you leave the office — with of all of the things you need post-​op (saline solutions, nasal sprays, q-​tips, gauze, bandages), saving me cash and trips to Duane Reade.
OVERALL ENVIRONMENT — Dr. Bennett’s office is on 61^st & Park Ave and is super inviting and comfortable — no dingy steel chairs, screaming children or ugly 80’s décor — everything is modern and professional.
DOCTOR SKILL SET — Dr. Bennett stood apart from other ENT doctors that I researched because he is double board-​certified in both sinus surgery and facial plastic surgery, a rare characteristic. He also specializes in sinus issues, meaning his practice revolves around patients with the same symptoms as me, making me feel like I am in good hands.
BEDSIDE MANNER — Simply put, excellent. Dr. Bennett is a compassionate and respectful doctor, that takes the time to get to know you personally and understand your treatment goals. He listens. He is patient. He makes you feel comfortable. He addresses your concerns. There is not a single hint of a pretension in his voice, but rather a hard-​working attitude and caring disposition.
EFFECTIVENESS OF TREATMENT — As you could have guessed, Dr. Bennett fixed all of my sinus issues. I underwent a septoplasty (for my deviated septum), sinus surgery (for inflamed sinuses) and a turbinoplasty (for enlarged turbinates) and have healed wonderfully during the past few months. Dr. Bennett called me once a day for the first week after surgery to check up on me, and scheduled two follow-​up appointments to evaluate my progress. I can finally breathe through my nose again, and no longer suffer from the painful sinus headaches and uncomfortable congestion.
I recommend both Dr. Bennett and his staff for anybody considering sinus surgery or deviated septum surgery. You will not be disappointed.

This is the best doctor I have ever seen — and I had seen a lot of doctors recently due to my big injury. He is very smart, professional, and weirdly, chill at the same time. He takes a lot of time to explain what I needed to know, and was genuinely concerned and sympathy for my well being.
For years I couldn’t breath right because my septum was deviated, so my left nostril was always stuck, which caused a lot of side symptoms. Dr. Bennett shook that burden off from me by performing an exceptional surgery that corrected my nose! The surgery took 2 hours and after staying in hospital for another 2 hours or so, I walked out.
Now 3 months post op, my sinus issue is almost gone — though I’m still a bit swollen. I believe I could breathe even better when the swelling wears off. Oh, forgot to mention, there’s is NO visible incision! Normally you’ll get a small incision between your nostril, but not for Dr Bennett, there was none!
I couldn’t be happier that I went to Dr Bennett for the surgery. He literally changed my life!

Dr. Bennett and his staff are amazing. Dr. Bennett did my septo-​rhinoplasty about 2 weeks ago, and he did exactly what we discussed. He is a fantastic surgeon as well as an overall nice person. I actually had a complication during surgery (I bled a lot, which makes surgery much more difficult b/​c visibility isn’t good). If I weren’t in the hands of a skilled surgeon, I don’t know what the outcome would have been. He did amazing work– I have a nose that fits my face and actually looks more natural than my previous nose. Dr. Bennett successfully fixed my nose so I still look like me, only better. He also called me after surgery a couple of times to ask if everything was ok and if I had any questions. He is a very caring doctor, with excellent bedside manner. I couldn’t recommend anyone more highly.
I would also like to mention his wonderful staff who make your experience as easy and hassle-​free as possible. Kelly at the front desk is very helpful and friendly. Meaghan tried to get me the lowest out –of-​pocket fees for the surgical center and took care of everything. I am so grateful to Dr. Bennett and his staff for everything they have done for me.

I was terrified of getting surgery, especially on my face. But I couldnt breathe through the right side of my nose anymore and it was really annoying. My friend recommend Dr. Bennett after he did her surgery, and I’m so happy I met him. He made me feel really comfortable, explained everything in full detail, and most importantly did an incredible job fixing my deviated septum and sinus surgery. I always thought «deviated septum surgery» was just a cover for «nose job surgery» but I breathe better than I ever have now, even while working out. I am from SF and I had my debut Cabaret show in NYC and OF COURSE I got sick the day before my show. This wasn’t just a little cough or stuffy nose, this was sinus explosion in my face and a bronchial cough of doom. I got Dr. Bennett as a referral, and I got an appt right away. They told me they were slammed and yet they saw me within ten minutes of getting to the office! I called THAT MORNING! The office staff were all friendly and had genuine sympathy and concern for my well being. Many of them are either singers or know singers so they knew the importance of being well for a performance. I met Dr. Bennett and found out his wife is a singer so I knew I was in the best hands. He was thorough, friendly and concerned. He was also nice because I was super depressed, angry, and all words synonymous, since I’d flown all the way here and got smacked in the face by this stupid illness. He just let me be angry with my situation, and was really nice. I appreciated him, his staff and the experience.

I came to dr bennett in bad shape; i had a 3 day old severely fractured nose and consequent deviated septum which was inhibiting my breathing. To complicate matters further, I had had rhinoplasty 10 yrs ago.
After reading less than encouraging stats on ‘revision rhinoplasty’ and ‘open reduction’ success rates, I resigned myself to the reality that I would likely be the owner of a disfigured breathing apparatus following any surgical intervention.
Dr Bennett is a genuinely caring doctor and talented surgeon who patiently took the time to explain my condition, the procedure, risks associated, and was there to help accelerate my post-​op recovery.
He not only corrected my breathing entirely, but reshaped my nose to the point where it was indistinguishable from its pre-​fracture state.
I literally could not have asked for a better experience and result.

I hated my nose. For years I was unable to breathe properly, which lead to heavy snoring, constant congestion, runny noses, etc.
After finally deciding to deal with the issue I was referred to Dr. Bennett. He thoroughly explained all my options and made sure surgery was the best choice. After the surgery he called up himself on a Saturday afternoon to make sure everything was going well.
Since then i’ve had several follow up appts to make sure everything has healed well. It’s now July 2010 and the improvements are amazing. Who knew that breathing through both nostrils could be so awesome.
