I couldn’t remember my password so i went to Squad on union square. Bhopal reboot my computer with a specific device so I could login with a new username and password
I was blown away by service provided by this fabulous technician. He is very dedicated to his job and is very knowledgeable .He also helped me to download some programs.

Mobile Protection Plan Policy Buyers beware… As of September 1, 2013, Rapid Exchange Policy customers only get refurbished phones if the third one goes bad.
Honestly, I wish I could give this Best Buy and its employees a rating of ZERO. All the managers and Geek Squad associates give you the runaround. Last week, a manager explain me that if my third refurbished phone give me any additional problems that I would get a brand new one. Today, I hear that because of my policy, I am unable to get a new phone. Instead, I could fill out another claim and get another refurbished phone. My third refurbished phone had the same issues as the previous two. Lesson learned. from this point forward, I am sticking with my carrier.

Sequence of events:
Sep 4^th: my Laptop, purchased in ¹¹⁄₁₂ doesn’t boot anymore. I have a warranty from Geek Squad. The problem is the Hard Drive which doesn’t start working. This was confirmed by the local person! Geek Squad takes my PC, sells me a $ 250 data recovery service and promises fastest service
Sep 9^th: my Laptop finally arrives at the repair facility in KY.
Sep 10^th: according to the online status report: all problems solved, Laptop was picked up in the store and case closed. I call and tell that this is wrong. Briefly thereafter status is updated: Laptop is going through extended checks
Sep 13^th still no status update. I call and learn that Geek Squad is waiting for my call for 3 days to discuss data recovery. I am already annoyed but at least the data recovery expert is friendly! She promises quick solution: I bought an external drive from her and she will ship my data to me. No update on the Laptop
Sep 13^th send an angry e-​mail to Geek Squad. The answer is an apology and the promise to speed up
Sep 16^th: Status update on my Laptop: «good news we ordered the spare part, it’s available, we build it in as soon as it arrives» expect your laptop back by 9/​24″ You could not have done that on Sep 9 when you started to engage Data recovery because the Hard drive was indeed broken as discovered on ⁹⁄₄???
Sep 16^th: Status update on the Data: recovery finished — harddrive will be sent with the following UPS tracking number xxxx
Sep 18^th Status update from UPS — the item with the tracking number xxxx has not yet been received
Sep 18^th send another e-​mail to Geek Squad complaining through their website. E-​mail is returned for wrong address (I did not even enter an address it’s their website.
Sep 18^th cannot take it anymore: reset my Unilocal Password to vent my anger!
If you only need your Laptop for fun and for no other purpose than having one. Please use geek Squad. If you somehow rely on customer service because you need your Laptop for your business or you even consider using a Laptop to earn money. STAY AWAY. Geek Squads customer service is really capable of killing your business through its careless service!

Brought my computer in be fixed because the hinge got knocked off somehow. No problem, just couldn’t close it. They sent it away because it couldn’t be fixed in the store. I got an email saying it was ready to be picked up, not realizing that they hadn’t fixed it. (At least they refunded my money) But when I got home and opened it up, I realized that they had broken it even worse than when I brought it in. When I called to complain, they manager seemed to have no idea what to do. Then he directed me to the main office to file a complaint. Would NEVER go back.

I was given a Canon camera purchased at the Union Square Best Buy store; Geek Squad is a concession within the store, and is the place you need to address all warranty issues on items purchased there. The camera happened to be the super-​hot S110, a pocket model that takes amazing pictures even in low light – and even has Wi-​Fi, so you can send pix directly to Unilocal or your blog. Because these small electronics happen to be fairly fragile, I purchased a three-​year extended warranty through Geek Squad just in case. Well, as it happens I used it pretty hard and it required warranty service sooner than I expected; the lens failed to extend properly and somehow the glass on the back of the camera was even damaged, so the whole camera was replaced.
I had the replacement camera a short while and found that the lens cover began to not retract properly, so I brought it in to this location and was told to leave it. A few weeks later, I received an e-​mail telling me to come in because they needed additional information before they could proceed with my repair. In reality, they had jettisoned the old camera because the damage wasn’t a manufacturing defect, and the representative showed me a list of cameras that were of lesser value than my S110 and could be used as a replacement for it.
Naturally, the S110 was not going to be offered as a replacement, because then no salesperson would get a commission on the sale. The guy offered to give me a Best Buy Gift Card for the full amount of the value of the camera – which again he claimed they didn’t have. I suggested they should give me cash instead, because after this I wasn’t going to be a Best Buy or Geek Squad customer. Also, my returning the camera invalidated the extended warranty, because the malfunction wasn’t the result of a manufacturing defect – something I don’t dispute, but when I requested that the camera be returned to me, and I’d get the repair done myself, the «geek’ stated that it wasn’t possible for them to get it back.
So I asked to speak with the guy’s supervisor, and magically the S110 appeared – the camera I had originally wanted as a replacement, and that the «geeks» claimed they were unable to locate. They were lying to me the whole time! I was again told I would need to buy an extended warranty if I wanted extended warranty protection – and although I had through the end of the year to do so, if there was any damage to the camera in that time, the camera wouldn’t be eligible. So I bit the bullet and bought the warranty. «Do you want to register for a Best Buy discount card?» asked the guy hopefully.
«No,» I said flatly.
