Glamour Center Salon

First of all, I made an appointment with Ksenya, but when I came to the salon, I was told that it was her day off! Nobody told me when I made an appointment or notified me about that. I got a TERRIBLE haircut and didn’t get «Deep Heat Conditioning Treatment» included in the Groupon or ANY conditioning treatment at all! The salon is FILTHY — cut hair is on the floor and everywhere! They kept saying «Careful» about stepping and falling on the hair! Why not just CLEAN IT UP?
Totally disgusting experience!!! And the salon has a different name now, it was D’Galina salon and now it’s «Glamour Center», I guess they changed it, because people were complaining too much and writing bad reviews! Some Glamour Center!

Everyone is great in this place but my guy Gennaro is the person to see here .
You cannot go wrong with 20 $ for the type of service you get, hot towel and fresh razor around the edges .
Been going to Gennaro for more then 10 years and I always feel like a million bucks when I walk out of there .

Daniel is the savior of the poorly coifed — I won’t say it’s pure resurrection but when I need to be groomed with a cut a shave I don’t trust anyone else. 30 years in NYC I FOUND MY GUY! You can too if you are wise enough to try. But leave it to me they all do fine work here!

I have been going to Glamour Center for over two years now and I never want to go anywhere else. Eddie the owner cuts my hair and not only is he very professional and courteous, but he is also extremely good at his craft.
I recommend this place to anybody who wants a great cut with knowledgeable and professional staff.

I’m only giving one star because I have no other choice. DO NOT WASTE YOUR ENERGY, TIME, OR MONEY. Paulette is the most unprofessional, unwelcoming, and rude «hair stylist» there is. I bought 3 groupons including haircut/​highlights/​blow dry.
From the moment I got on the phone with her until I actually met with her, it’s been a headache. Assuming the weekdays are slower, I thought it’d be convenient to make an appt then. Wrong. She said I HAD to come in on a Saturday because my process was going to be extensive.
I come in today, a Saturday, and she was a little excited to see me. My appt was at 11:30 and she said she would be right with me. Minutes later, she’s telling me she doesn’t have time to do 1 of the 2 appts I made because I didn’t explain myself correctly on the phone. After our multiple phone conversations, I reiterated I did explain myself well and she told me I was calling her a liar.
So if I’m calling her a liar, what is she calling me?
She had a total of 3 customers in the salon and didn’t have time? I was so confused. She ended up telling me to call groupon and get a refund and walked away.
Ridiculous.

My nephew was in desperate need of a beard trim because we were headed to a nice restaurant for dinner as this was his first time in NYC. We asked a clerk in Macy’s where the nearest barber was. He said right around the corner. We found the place and it was almost closing time. The management was very cordial and welcomed us in. We explained the situation and the owner told us not to worry and have a seat. My nephew told me this was the best beard trim he had ever received, with a warm towel and massage treatment that almost put him to sleep. The best part was its affordable price. It’s nice to know you can get great service and value in Manhattan, and all just steps away from Macy’s!
