Can it get any worse than this agency? Their staff is rude, disorganized and could care less about the satisfaction of their clients and candidates. It is only a money machine for the owner.

I’ve worked with a few different recruiting agencies in NYC and SF, but Glocap has been one I continue to go back to when I need temp work or a job. They did a wonderful job placing me at my most recent position at a finance company where I’ve been for nearly 2 years. I continue to refer friends to them, and if I find myself needing work again, I will be sure to go back. The recruiters were interested in helping me find something that fit me well and was in my salary range. Meeting with them, I left feeling confident in their abilities to help. As long as you continue to reach out to them and present yourself professionally and on time at assignments and interviews, a recruiting agency like Glocap is a great option for finding employment.

Worst recruiting agency ever. Amateur hour.
My appointment was changed twice. When I got there, the person I was supposed to me with was running 20 minutes late. I was told that based on my salary history that my asking salary was too high. One of the people interviewing got up and left in the middle of meeting with me to take a phone call.
I received one job listing right after I signed up for which I received no follow-​up. When I contacted them and asked to be removed from their database, immediately I received another job listing completely unrelated to my work experience.

This is not a real recruiting firm. It is an entirely automated resume and data collection service. I’m not even sure any humans actually work there.
Your chance of getting matched to a job in their system, regardless of whether your experience fits their description, is about zero. Other automated resume services (like OneWire) do a much better job.
Also, you can’t stop the spam emails or remove your data from their system, even years later. That is shady and illegal.

Do not waste an ounce of your time. They do not care at all what job you want, a job you may be good at, and where you would be happy. They have $$$$ in their heads, and they just want to put you into any position so they get their cut. I was hired with a job in which I knew nothing about, but decided to give it a shot… It turned out to be the WORST place ever. I quit after 2 weeks, and so did the 3 people prior to me in the position, in the past 2 months who quit! GLOCAP filled the position 3 times in 2 months and never bothered to tell me… this would have been a huge red flag & I would not have wasted my time. STAY AWAY!!!

HORRIBLE. Worse than a factory. No personal attention. Went to another agency and was set up with 8 of the top firms in New York within a week. See my other reviews. Was working within a month. Glocap said, «it’s up to you to look at our sight and tell us what jobs you want to be sent on». I would tell them jobs I was fully qualified for and no one ever reached out to me. Ever.

Was very impressed on how quickly they asked me to come in so they could help me w my job search. Went in and found a very professional office and met three individual. Since my first meeting I have never heard from them I get daily emails which I apply to various jobs which fit my background and I’m always declined NOT so impressed anymore. This agency is a total farce Ans full of themselves. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I agree with all of the poor reviews, I’ve read. Haven’t dealt with them in years but I keep getting the emails. I have opted out years ago and wrote to be removed. Awful place and people. Within minutes of meeting, the recruiter (Alyssa T. from 2008) treated me like crap, wasted my time, pretty much told me I am not good enough to be considered for the kind of jobs they offer. I have been at a firm way above their caliber for over 5 years. I work directly for a billionaire who has other high profile billionaires in the office all the time.
When I noticed that Alyssa T. had on white scuffed shoes and white chipped nail polish yet treated me like I was nothing, I knew this wasn’t the agency for me.

Everything that everyone’s already written here is pretty on point. I’m actually writing for my experience I had with them several years ago, but was reminded of them again today after I received a spam e-​mail from them. Since I’ve applied, that’s the only thing I’ve ever received from them actually. Unsolicited mass e-​malls giving either useless tips, listing more jobs that don’t exist, or asking you to fill out a survey. If you ever sign up to do work with them, make sure you don’t give them your e-​mail. They’ll never contact you after you show up and interview, and won’t talk to you when you call them, but they’ll be sure to continue to spam forever.

Each and every person that I came across at the office has reached out to me with positions that THEY feel fit my previous experiences and skills. They have been more than helpful. They help me better understand the people I will be meeting with and they also give me great feedback in regards to my resume and email writing techniques. Whether you get the job or not is strictly up to you, they’re responsibility is to make sure you are fully prepared with the leads they give you. This is actually the best temp agency I have ever dealt with. Thank you all for your patience!

I have never written a review before, but I was so incensed by this process I felt it necessary to share. Glocap is completely dismissive, arrogant, and shallow, they wouldn’t know a good candidate if they fell over one. They are completely unprofessional — they NEVER respond to emails or phone calls. The big league jobs I have landed were completely on my own steam. I will go out of my way to let people know how terrible they are. Do not waste any time with this company.

Complete waste of my time. They ask me to come in and then three different people tell me they have nothing for me. Each person spent exactly 2 minutes talking to me and then left. What was the point of inviting me for an interview? Don’t waste your time, their actions didn’t do their company’s reputation any favors.

Normally, I wouldn’t even take the time to write a review but I’m almost shocked by the service of Glocap and feel compelled to share why.
I submitted my profile before reading reviews about Glocap. I received an email stating I may be a good candidate for a position, etc etc. So in preparation for my phone interview I read about Glocap and the responses several people received. I was not all that surprised by the treatment I received due to the preparation I had from researching Glocap after the fact.
First, I had a telephone call confirmed for 1pm. I didn’t receive a phone call and after I called ten minutes later, the girl barely apologized for not calling me just saying she was in another meeting. Not that I cant let that go, but it just seemed unprofessional.
Second, the girl asked me to tell about myself. As I started to she cut me off. Then she asked me if I could meet in the city for them to get to know me better. Whats the point of coming in to get to know me better if the recruiter presented herself as disinterested in getting to know me over the phone?
Recruiter asked if I would be open to a Skype interview next week since I cant make it into city anytime soon. I said yes, ill email you a couple dates. I did so, and never heard back. However, I’m not upset (albeit it’s another show of unprofessional behavior) bc I have realized I’m not interested in working with an organization like Glocap.
If I could rate the organization with zero stars and still write the review, I would.

Pretty terrible recruiting firm. I’ve worked with many, and have since found employment, but with no help from Glocap!

Usually I only give positive reviews on Unilocal and ignore the bad businesses assuming that their poor service will speak for itself, but Glocap is just too frustrating. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION. They do a mediocre job at recruiting at best, and once they have your info they keep it as a searchable profile forever. That means when you apply for a job through a real recruiter and that prospective employer has a Glocap account, they do a quick search of your name, see your name in Glocap’s database and say… «If i wanted this candidate I would have gotten them from Glocap.» So that undermines your application via the recruiter who is actually trying to help you.
I applied to a few jobs via Glocap within a year of graduating from college, so I was about 23 maybe? Applied to a few more over the next year or so… realized they were doing NOTHING for me, so I called and asked them to delete my account. They claimed them did and I believed them, that was a mistake. I also personally deleted my account info.
I am now 31 and work in Private Equity, no thanks to Glocap… So this is about seven years later I am again getting their useless emails. Funny how they still have my email address as an active account to receive their spam when they told me they had deleted my account. So I get a temporary password and log-​in. All of the data I had personally deleted from their site is back in… Education and work history along with contact info, THIS IS NOT OK.
I’m so done with this sham of a company and sincerely hope that this review helps others avoid the mistake of trying to engage with these guys. I wish I had been warned.

I was actually employed full time at a very well-​known company within its industry through Glocap while I lived in Los Angeles. However, the company is located out of NYC I believe, so the review lands up here.
I applied via Craigslist, not realizing I would be contacted back by a recruiter. I told said recruiter I was not interested in working through an agency (as I have heard bad things) and I wished him the best of luck. Apparently, he forwarded it along to the HR department within the company I had originally applied to anyways.
Essentially I skipped over the step of going in and meeting with him firsthand and doing the infamous typing skills, etc., tests.
Long story short, I got the job, $ 1K under what the original post had mentioned (figuring this is the recruiter’s cut) but in hindsight, I don’t think the position was right for me. Perhaps it was the company’s error, or Glocap’s, but that deducts a star.

Found out there were huge changes made at GloCap temp division.
So send in your resumes but call these new recruiters like crazy. I think getting them on the phone and being in there face is the only way. Maybe they are working to change their quality. Sure hope so.

Having worked with several temp agencies since moving to NYC to pursue acting in 2006, I frequently get asked for referrals to the agencies that have worked for me. I was referred by someone else to Glocap while I was looking for work in 2011, and was advised that most of their temp assignments go to financial and legal firms. Most of my experience had been in admin assignments, but when someone offers you $ 26/​hr to sit at a silent phone all day, you say yes and hope it’s worth the boredom.
I’ll keep it short — Glocap assigned me to work for terrible people at a high-​profile hedge fund and they treated me as such. It’s the only truly bad experience I’ve ever had with temping, and it was handled very inappropriately by the agency.
I would not recommend them to anyone and I would not expect any decent person to find enjoyable work through this company.

Oh yes, after about a year since I’ve met with them and got a job through a different agency (Taylor Hodson — ask for Trish Wilk)
I got several e-​mails from 3 different recruiters, decided to go in. Met with Jessica, she goes on and on about how she used to work at all these top notch companies and even has the nerves to tell me how lousy I am. Her exact words were, «you are smart but I would never let anyone hire you.»
Why do you people harass me to come in? To diss me in person? She was the one telling me I assume a lot meanwhile her exact words «you shouldn’t be too picky about what you want to do for work, there is no such thing as getting the ‘it job’.»
Really Jessica? Funny because I just landed my «it job» all through networking like most normal people who don’t assume. Clearly I wasn’t smart enough or good enough for this woman. She really should be using her own «advice»…
I never really recommended them because I had no real results but I also never badmouth a company but in this case, it is much needed.
Unilocalers– successful recruiters lie, so don’t let these people tell you that you can’t land your dream job!!!

*update* — did anyone know once you make an account with them on their website, there’s no way you can delete it or your information? I tried to delete mine and sent an email to the company and they said: «For legal reasons your profile cannot be deleted…»

Wish I read reviews before putting my trust into Glocap…
As some one who is genuinely struggling to find steady work (for the past 5 months), I really thought I had hit the jackpot with Glocap, as they post lots of jobs on their website and send out lots of emails about jobs… But with no outcome. Now I at least feel relieved that other people know what I’m talking about when I say Glocap is a big joke.
Went in for the interview and all they did was tell me I have to change my whole resume around and buy an expensive suit… no thanks…
They promise you the sun the moon and the stars but they will NEVER call you. not even if you ask to be considered for temporary positions.
I am happy to say I’ve found employment without their help! But, with the help of another company that I LOVE. This is a company that will ACTUALLY help you!
