I regularly buy from them. Reliable, good quality, good price.

It’s a small place primarily for deliveries. I walked in and the service was quick but the food was disgusting. The vegetables were stale and had black stuff all over them. The sauce also tasted stale and was too thick for my taste. I will not be going here again.

Great place to order some Chinese food. Sweet & sour chicken is great. The boneless chicken with BBQ and fried plantains is good. You could also try a side order of chicken teriyaki or a shrimp roll. The customer service is great in this place and they also have fast delivery service. I’ve been ordering from this place since I was a kid and I have to say they better every year.

Boneless chicken with garlic sauce is good. Sesame chicken is very good too overall not bad at all. Food doesn’t taste old like some chinese food places. Also rated«A» by the health inspector which is always a good thing.

After MANY mediocre Chinese food experiences since moving to Washington Heights, my decision to try Golden City was based purely on its proximity to my apartment. I only wish I had discovered them sooner because they’re now my «Go-To» joint for fast, delicious Chinese delivery whenever I get a hankering. Now, let me just say that I LOVE Chinese food. I’m always in the mood for it but have learned to temper my expectations since moving the city(because, for some reason, Chinese food in the Midwest is about a bajillion times better than Chinese food in NYC). From Midtown to Astoria, it’s the same story: anything breaded is gamey & mysterious and the vegetables are either completely undercooked or ridiculously overcooked(and 9 times out of 10, formerly frozen). That is, until Golden City. The great prices and free sodas aside(because, let’s be real here, you can find that at every other Chinese take-out place in the city), the food is stellar. The General Tso’s is flavorful and, oddly enough, made from actual chicken rather than the usual«chicken-esque» white substance you find elsewhere – you know the one – it takes about a million times longer to chew and swallow than anything claiming to be chicken ever should. The Chicken & Broccoli is also quite tasty and again, not mysterious in any way. Most recently, I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein which also lived up to the high standards I’ve come to expect from Golden City. So, skip the lame attempts at Chinese fast food that so many are offering these days and call Golden City immediately. Oh, and they have ginger ale. ‘Nuff said.
