This busy, efficient and off the beaten path diner has delicious, fresh food, and plenty of it. Unlike other places that have cut back on quality and/or quantity, this place is the real deal. We have been here twice, both times on a Sunday morning. If you are not looking for it, you can easily walk on by. Stop and eat. You’ll be back.

This restaurant is a block from Guitar Center, and I liked the sandwiches that they serve.

This is my «Go to» diner every time I am meeting people in the USQ area. Food is always fresh, service is always pleasant and quick… plus you get the added attraction of observing New Yorkers in their most natural habitat.

The Good Stuff Diner was our favorite food stop when visiting NYC. The diner is very clean, the food is great and often plentiful. However, our Thanksgiving dinner at the Good Stuff Diner truly was disappointing causing several of our group vowing to never return. Being regulars who have visited the diner dozen of times, we always asked for a particular waiter who is outstanding. For whatever the reason, there is a particular male host at the diner who is rather cold and refused to accommodate our request for our regular waiter. It was disappointing given Thanksgiving is a special meal. The waiter we did get had a real attitude towards our group. We all ordered the inclusive dinner. The waiter was rude at times, but the real kicker was when it came to dessert. The waiter informed us that the host himself said that the lemon margarine pie was not part of their pie selection for the dinner. The Thanksgiving menu clearly said all pies are available with the meal, so a member of our party went up to the counter and spoke to the host. The host rudely then said«just give it to her.» Now normally you do run into bad service, but this male host seemed to go out of his way to make our visit unpleasant… from refusing to seat us with our regular waiter to simply ordering a piece of pie.

Their food is normally great, but don’t get their fried chicken. For some reason it is insanely sweet and tastes weird as hell.

I’m not even giving this place a review. This placed messed up my late night/morning so bad. I got to the place with a party of 8 after a concert. We had to wait for a waiter to come and even bring us menus. Water? Forget about it, that was another 10 minutes. I ordered first and asked for a turkey bacon BLT sandwich and a soda.(Bacon super duper well done) After it taking forever to get everyone else’s order we waited and my order came back and the turkey bacon was not even close to being well done. No problem, I asked the waiter if he would take it back and cook longer. Fine. Everyone’s food came out, I waited on mine. Some people were finishing theirs and my food still had not come back out. Like 30 minutes passed and everyone was now DONE and no sign of my food. At this point I was upset and losing my appetite. So I ask the waiter(As he’s clearing the table) what happened to my order? This dude has the audacity to say«oh yeah the cook refuses to do that. Do you want something else?» What??? now my wife is pissed. People at the table can’t believe it. I ask for the manager, he comes over I explain and he seems like he will handle things. He says he will take care of it. At this point I don’t even want the sandwich, but it’s the principle you know? So the manager goes off with a «I’m going to show this guy who is boss» attitude into the kitchen. He comes back 3 minutes later and says«Sir, can I get something else for you?» WHAT??? No you can’t get anything else. What a nightmare. And then he has the nerve to say I’m not going to charge you for the soda. Thanks alot. NEVER again

This diner was adorable and the food was really, really good. I came by myself for a nice quiet dinner with a book I was very eager to read. The matzo ball soup was a definite highlight! As an entrée I had the«herb-crusted chicken» Friday dinner special — it was a bit on the garlicky side, but very tasty overall. My sides of mashed potatoes and peas and carrots were also top-notch. As a Jersey girl, I am a sucker for diners and this is definitely one I would return to and recommend to pals.

Exactly what you would expect from a diner and I am grateful for it! Outstanding service, large portions, good prices and a vast selection from which to choose. Plus, the décor is upscale for a diner and kept impeccably clean. I am never disappointed when I come to Good Stuff Diner and I recommend it highly.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times and both times the food has been good(split the Argentinian Steak Wrap and a California Wrap with a friend) and service has been good. It’s big, it’s clean and it’s not expensive. Sometimes the curly fries are overdone, but that’s my biggest complaint. They definitely have a lot of regulars, esp elderly people and it’s nice to see the way the staff treats them so kindly. NYC is losing too many diners so I would like this one to hang around.

Standard diner breakfast. Pretty large number of offerings. Huge portions. I visited on a weekday morning and was seated immediately. Good place for a morning meeting. Open 24 hours.

I had a horrible experience here… and the staff and managers did nothing about it… I ordered a chicken shishkebob which cost $ 18.95 and it took 20 minutes to come and turned out it was one stick of burnt peppers and 5 tiny pieces of chicken on a huge bed of rice which I can’t eat a lot of. This is simply highway robbery… I will never go back to this one diner… the waiters and the managers do not care and the kitchen staff were hostile and yelling the whole time I was sitting at the counter… Please make sure this diner stay empty until they wake up to their purpose — serve good food and please customers.

Got the Dallas BBQ burger, with fries. The bread was slightly charred, made it really crisp, the meat was soft and super juicy, lettuce, tomatoes and onions came fresh and on the side. The additional challenge of assembling your own burger made it even more delicious. I ordered the burger deluxe, which meant that it came with a really generous portion of fries that I barely got through. The fries could do with a little more hearing it felt like it was left aside for a while before being served. Come here for a satisfying meal!

Three visits and so far so good! There’s a lot of items on the menu to choose from and they are large plates. Even the appetizers can fill you up! My suggestion is to order two appetizers and one entrée is you are a party of two… or order whatever, waiters there always ask if you want to doggy bag the unfinished food. Besides the occasionally snarky host, all is rainbows and sprinkles.

Solid diner at a convenient location. Came with a group of 6 plus 2 babies and didn’t have any wait for a Sunday brunch. Extensive menu. High chairs. Good lighting. Friendly service. Average food. It’s a great option if you’re in the area and craving diner food!

I know that the diner is hiring new people, but they keep messing up. Missing ingredients in my order annoys me, especially when I give it to someone with high expectations.

The good: The Good Stuff Diner is a clean, attractive place. The décor is bright and stylish. Service is good, too. The bad: The food. Our breakfasts were quite disappointing. My friend’s corned beef hash came right out of a can. My «fluffy» omelet was flat as a pancake. The breakfast potatoes were simply tasteless – they were like eating styrofoam and completely devoid of any taste. Others in our party had breakfasts they thought were okay. The place has a welcoming ambiance, but the food doesn’t live up to expectations.

I have eaten here many times before and the food and service are consistently good. Today I ordered silver dollar pancakes for my two year old son(He loved them) and the breakfast special for me which was eggs, home fries, choice of meat(I chose bacon). DELICIOUS!!! I’m often disappointed when I eat breakfast outside of my home not the case with this diner. It tasted as if I made it myself in a good way, even the slightly burnt toast which I don’t mind at all. Our waitress was very nice. Attentive without being annoying. She kept my coffee cup full without me having to constantly ask her. The owner was walking around talking to many of the customers. Greeting patrons at the door and being very accommodating. Really great diner.
