We gave them dirty shirt, dirty shirt we got back. It is mind blowing how can someone press a shirt that is completely dirty and think that it’s ok to give it back. When confronted, I was told that supposedly to take off the stains (my husband puts same stains on the same spot for ages and we never had them not removed!) we needed to pay additional $ 8! But how do you explain normal dirt wear on the edges of sleeves??? When I asked them why they think its ok to give back dirty stuff, they were still trying to convince me that it was clean! The collar inside is also dirty! This is unbelievable! Instead of taking responsibility and saying I’m sorry, I was told that we’re cheap and that I’m crazy because this shirt is clean. Needless to say that were not going back and feel bad for those who does!

I lived in the area for the last 6 years. Grace cleaners were very reliable and accountable. On a couple of occasions, they misplaced items of clothing (grey dress pants, the other a dress shirt). However they were very honest and forthright, and on one occasion I received the article of clothing back, as it was apparently delivered by mistake.
For anyone living in Midtown west I would definitely recommend Gracies. I have also used them for tailoring services and they do a great job.

The cleaning itself was reasonable. What disgusted me was the attempted price gouging. I was staying at a nearby hotel and wanted some laundry done the same day, just wash and fold. For 5 lbs of laundry, the clerk initially cited a price of $ 30! At my look of shock, she promptly lowered the price to $ 25. I was still hesitant so she lowered the price to $ 20. I probably still overpaid, but it was 8:45 AM and I wanted it done the same day.
Cleaning: ⁴⁄₅ stars. the laundry was nicely folded and done on time.
Customer Service: ⁰⁄₅ stars. These people are clearly trying to gouge tourists who don’t know any better. I swear dollars signs flashed in the clerk’s eyes when I told her I was staying in a nearby hotel.
Final verdict: ²⁄₅ stars, combining the above. The cleaning is OK, so if you know prices beforehand it’s reasonable to use this place. These people (at least one clerk) are weasels, so protect yourself accordingly.

Biggest rip-​off ever!!! My family of 5 have been travelling around USA for 4 weeks. We have had washing done at several major cities as well as small towns. This service just cost us $ 70 for 8lb of wash and fold, a very average size load. The most we have ever paid is $ 30 for a larger bag through a hotel service do I didn’t see the need to ask for the price before hand. Lesson learnt! The shop assistance obviously heard our Australian accent and took advantage.

I come here to get my jeans/​pants hemmed and they always do a great job! I’m made to feel welcomed and taken care of each time I come in to Grace Cleaners.

I’ve been a customer of Grace Cleaners for over 3 years and have tried other dry cleaners, however, Grace Cleaners has proven that their services are unparalleled. I don’t know how they do it, but my clothes and linens actually look better after they are returned to me.
For example, I gave them a dress to clean, which had a sleeve with stitching that was missing. When my dress was returned to me, I noticed that the sleeve on my dress had been repaired without having to request it! I love that they pay attention to small details.
In addition, when I moved to another apartment 15 blocks south of my old apartment, they were gracious enough to send someone to my new residence to pick up my dry cleaning even though it is outside of their delivery boundaries. I was so relieved that they agreed to pick up my dry cleaning as I had a horrible experience with another dry cleaner in my new neighborhood.
So, for the reasons above I will continue to be a loyal customer. If you are particular about your clothing, you should give Grace Cleaners a try.

I needed my dress pants repaired before a business trip, so after reading some reviews that while these guys may be expensive they do a good job, I decided to give them a try.
I asked them to repair my pants by the night before my trip, to which they agreed. Quoted me for a steep price as was expected, but I was ok with that. However, when I went to pick up my pants the night before my trip, they told me that the tailor didn’t repair the pants because he didn’t have the right colored thread (did he really not have navy colored thread?). When I asked them if they could help me in any way since they had essentially screwed me over by promising but not delivering nor updating me, they told me to «go find a different dry cleaner.»
Stay away.

My first Unilocal 1 star– and one I can give with confidence. AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS ! I called on a Monday for pick up– nothing by Wed– went in — the guy said his pick up man could not find the building (two blocks away!), eventually picked up Wed– when I went in to pay, he told me $ 36 for a couple of pounds of wash and fold– he separated into two lots and charged $ 18 min for each. Does not end there — delivery Thursday — no– again some excuse — ditto Friday — another story. Same again Sat! Monday and I still have not seen my laundry. This is the Fawlty Towers of cleaned :) — more lies and excuses than a race horse trainer

Great Place for Same-​Day quality services such as wash & fold. Very pleased with how fast their turn-​around is. Highly Recommend! Eugene is terrific and always greets his customers with a friendly smile.

I sent a bag of wash and fold here. They added a pen to the mix before washing the bag. Most of our clothes in the load ended up with ink stains. They denied responsibility. I pointed out the pen they found in the laundry bag was a type of pen they had on their counters. He still denied that the pen came from him and said it came from me. I am certain that the pen came from them. He kept insisting that it was not possible for them to drop a pen into the laundry bag. If what he is saying is true, that means that there is an employee who is adding a pen on purpose, since he is saying that accidents are impossible. I asked for a store credit since I had to replace clothes, some of which were brand new. The man refused. He then called me a few days later and left a voice mail saying that he would give me half the amount of the store credit I requested. But I am not sure if I trust them at this point to be competent.

I needed to steam a suit for an event I had to go in the evening. I called a few places around my office and only they were able to do it in a short period of time! What a great service, thanks! I’m def. coming back.

I moved to the area in 2009 and was looking for a dry cleaner that I could trust and count on. I turned to Unilocal and was not disappointed. Grace Cleaners is hands down the best in the area and I regularly used them for all of my dry cleaning and work shirts to them over the course of four years.
Aside from quick service (they were almost always able to turn my clothes around same day if needed) and high quality service that I became accustom to (never had a missing item, never had problems with the quality of cleaning), Grace Cleaners are magicians when it comes to removing the occasional bad stain or repair. Most of the time I figured that I completely ruined a shirt and but I would take it in anyways to let them have a shot at it, 9 times out of 10 they saved me from buying a new shirt or pair of pants.
It’s a family run business and the owners are really nice people. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an active Unilocal reviewer, but after four years of excellent service and now moved to a different location in the city I feel compelled to let others know that this is a great place to do business.

I used this place for over two years and started noticing I was missing my more expensive shirts. I had been using their express bag service, so I was not given a receipt each time I dropped them off. I then added my tux shirt to my bag of shirts to be cleaned, and was starkly aware when it was not included in the batch when it was returned to me. I approached the owner several times, and each time he refused to take any responsibility, claiming I had no proof that the shirt was in the bag I droppe off. I will never use this place again.

Went to this cleaners because it had the highest reviews in the neighborhood and is a block from my office. They certainly lived up to expectation in quality service and price! Four stars because I have only utilized their tailoring service and they tend not to call and remind you when to pick up your items. One customer while I was there had left a tie on their racks for months and they never called him to retrieve it.

I brought two pantsuits here to have hems/​sleeve taken in a little bit. The tailor works from 9am — 5pm on weekdays (not sure about weekends) but the business itself has more accommodating hours. I went on a Wednesday morning and they had my items by Saturday afternoon.
Their tailor is a nice older Korean woman, and there was one other girl at the register. They were both very amicable and took care with my clothes. The tailor had a funny, mother-​knows-​best attitude as she measured off my pant legs and explained how she could sew in the pockets so they wouldn’t stick out (they were folding off in a strange way). I liked her and was satisfied with the quality of the work.
But I got sticker shock. $ 100? For a couple of sleeves and pants? The suits didn’t even need to be taken in on the sides (they fit really well as they were).
Shame on me for not even asking about the prices, but Unilocalers will be luckier. To save you the trouble of calling, here’s the going rate for what I had done:
Pant hems — $ 15
Jacket sleeves (with lining) — $ 28
Sew pant pockets closed — $ 14
And yet, I would rather come back here and leave my clothes in the hands of people I feel can be trusted with delicate work. The way I see it, you don’t go spend $ 100s on a suit to then take it to a cheaper Chinatown tailor and then have a shoddy job done. Another plus is that since they were relatively close to my office, I could go during working hours to actually get measured by the tailor. Overall a win.

Went to get the buttons on my jacket fixed (an insulated Northface jacket) — $ 6 to get 3 buttons fixed, dropped it off in the morning and picked it up after work. Very nicely done — they actually made sure not to pierce through the entire jacket, which I was worried about. Very friendly, clean, well-​organized. Quick service as well. I will definitely use this place again.
