There’s not much to Grace Plaza, but if you’re in the area it’s a good place to find a seat or table for lunch. That’s really all there is there. It’s a concrete park. There’s also plenty of trash cans and there is a security guard if you need to feel safe. The one bummer is that there is no shade, unlike Bryant Park the next block down. But Grace Plaza isn’t teeming with slow-walking tourists and people fighting over chairs. It’s clean and overlooks the street and sometimes they have entertainment(once I passed by and they had a mini-stage set up). It’s a good resting place.

Apparently the grace building isn’t a medical center as Unilocal says, but rather an office building housing multiple companies. I guess that’s why they have the money to make it so beautiful– clearly I love it here. I can there after being at Bryant Park and gladly sat down with friends. By god, it is wonderful here. The trees, the lights, the skyscraper view– perfect way to capture New York on a December night. Id certainly come here to sit and have lunch if Bryant Park was unavailable.

This is a rarity in Midtown Manhattan: a space where you can sit and eat lunch without a million smokers in your face. I’m not sure you can smoke here or not but I have typically seen people sit here and enjoy people watching, talking to one another, taking phone calls, etc. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the streets and sidewalks, this is a good place to go to regroup. Tourists, please take the hint & stop standing in the middle of the sidewalks when you’re lost or texting someone! Thanks.
