I saw Efterklang here with the Wordless Chorus Orchestra. Great looking venue and the acoustics = amazing. It is small and intimate(700 capacity) and I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. Ticket price is reasonable and gives you free admission to the Met on the day of the show. All shows end prior to 10PM.

This place is almost too good to be true… First, with the purchase of a concert ticket(which are very reasonably priced, considering everything) you get free admission(on the day of performance) to the museum… Second, it’s actually IN The Metropolitan Museum of Art — and even if you arrive at the very last minute you get to see a few precious pieces… The acoustics are very immediate, not cold or dry but also not very lush or opulent… The seats are old-fashioned but extremely comfortable(they adjust to your posture without making noise, but they’re an ugly sort of hunter green) with lots of legroom… The ushers are perhaps the best in the city… The bathrooms are spacious with never very much of a wait… Why I love this place: it hosts events like Marc-Andre Hamelin playing Alkan’s Concerto for Solo Piano, Stephen Kovacevich playing Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations, the Capucon brothers(with Nicholas Angelich) playing Brahms and Shostakovich, Ivan Moravec playing Chopin, Till Fellner playng Beethoven’s complete piano sonatas, Vladimir Feltsman playing Schumann and Schubert, etc.
