Their employees are super nice, and the bagel for breakfast is cheap too. and they gave you huge portion for samples

WORST place ever. I went there to grab a quick breakfast. Ordered an egg white wrap with mushroom, tomatoes, jalapenos, pepper jack and smoked turkey. With a side of home fries. The home fries were probably the most decent part. The wrap came with NO mushroom, NO pepper jack and NO smoked turkey. WTF. And it still cost me almost $ 8. Never going back there again. I even repeated my order to the guy and he still f***ed it up. No wonder every time I walked past this place, it was dead. I hope they close down so the urban space next door can have more space.

I like this spot. It’s pricier than some other local delis, but their food is good and it’s the closest spot to my office so it’s really convenient for me to come here. I love their salads(fresh ingredients) and their wraps are good too(I guess $ 7 – 8 is average for a wrap in these parts). They definitely skimp on ingredients on sandwiches though! They put like one piece of lox on my lox sandwich, so I won’t be getting that again. Oh and their lentil soup is delish(on par w what delis charge for soup in the area). The slight price markup is sometimes worth it for me due to the proximity so I’ll keep coming back and ordering my go tos from here.

This is one of my favorite places in midtown when I need to grab a quick, inexpensive and healthy meal for breakfast or lunch. The selection in the salad bar is great, there really is something there for everyone’s taste and it is always fresh! They recently started selling their«kale bowls» which you can get with brown rice, quinoa or couscous, along with different flavors of grilled chicken or salmon and your choice of sauces and up to 6 other add-ins for a delicious meal that fills you up and is also really nutritious. The sriracha chicken and salsa verde are my favorites. For breakfast, I like their made-to-order wraps and omelets, but they also have very good oatmeal and your usual bagels and egg sandwiches.

I got the Asian Bowl from Grand Café, expecting the listed ingredients to be cooked and warm. To my surprise, what I got from Grand Café was not what I expected at all. It was basically a cold bowl composed of entirely raw butternut squash(who does that???), cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, and roasted Brussels sprouts. The herbal chicken I added for additional $ 2.50 and the brown rice at the bottom were the only ingredients that were cooked. Healthy? Probably. Tasty? Nope! It will taste better if I sautéed it over fire…

I would give this place half a star if I could. The prices are pretty outrageous considering what you get. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich which somehow ended up being over $ 6. It wasn’t even good, but I ate it because I was hungry and I spent a lot of money. Also, I asked the cashier the price for something, but it back and she looked at me when I came back to the register without it as if I had put it in my purse or something. She also had to take a calculator out(for some weird reason) to ring me out. I will never get anything from here again. They really don’t have many options for a place as big as it is.

I recently started working in the 230 park ave Helmsley building and decided to check out the grand café my co-workers recommended. i was very pleased, it stood up to the positive comments from my coworkers. the food was very affordable and they make fresh pressed juices, you are able to choose as many ingredients possible. even tho i ordered the zen smoothie, very tasty! The workers there seems so pleasant and easy going… i’ll be back there for lunch tomorrow and definitely to try a different natural juice, maybe something with kale and spinach!

Place Is crap and head chef is a dick unless you’re a white male customer. Ignores most women and minority customers and gets to make up prices on the fly. Unfortunately midtown has such poor options this is what you get stuck with.

Just ordered from Grand Café for the first time on Seamless. First off, I happened to be in the loo when the delivery guy arrived, so he had to wait a moment for my colleague to answer the door. To my shocking and overwhelming surprise, the guy CURSEDOUT two of my colleagues, using vulgar language, including the F-bomb, apparently because he had to wait. Hello, people! Talk about unprofessional, rude, and utterly unacceptable behavior! On top of that, my salad literally tastes rancid. I will NEVER order from Grand Café again and I don’t recommend you do, either.

I’ve ordered breakfast from here a few times(Pancakes with strawberries, egg whites and turkey bacon) and I’ve always been satisfied. One morning I wanted to switch it up and get chocolate chip pancakes and within minutes I was called and notified that they don’t make chocolate chip pancakes, but they could add m&m’s on top instead. Though tempting, I stuck with my strawberry pancakes, but I was really pressed with their honesty and willingness to accommodate my order as best as possible. Thumbs up.

I love this place! This my Goto place for my breakfast and coffee! I love all the flavors of coffee you can get here. Speedy service and tasty food. This café is by far the best in comparison to ones nearby!

If you like the smell of a garbage dump and your food tasting like the inside of my sneakers after a 3 mile run, then this place is for you. I would not advise my worst enemy to dine at this establishment. The stench in this place is literally unbearable. I am born and raised in NYC and one thing is for sure… You put a tuxedo on a piece of crap and it’s still crap!

The Grand Café has great fresh food! But I want to write about their OUTSTANDING customer service. I’m an airline captain. I forgot my credit card at the cashier. I realized this when I got to Seattle. I spoke with the manager at the Grand Café and he brought it over to the Roosevelt Hotel for me to pick up when I returned to NYC. It saved me a huge hassle of replacing it. Honest people and delicious food. A great combination. Cheers!

There are many lunch locations to choose from in my area, but I always go back to Grand Café because it’s never crowded, they give you large portions of their hot lunch, and the staff is very courteous and friendly. It’s located right next to the duane Reade in the Helmsley Building west-side underpass on Park Avenue between 45th and 46th Street. I hardly see the place get busy with long lines, but once a line starts forming the cashier’s process purchases very quickly and efficiently, thus I am always satisfied with their service. I will be going back today for lunch, as I have been doing every day since I relocated my job to this area.

I come here pretty often for lunch since it’s close to my office. It’s located in the West Helmsley Walk beneath the Helmsley Building. In the mornings, I usually get an omlette platter that comes with home fried potatoes and toast. The price varies when you buy it(before or after 9am), but it’s always below $ 5. For lunch, my favorite thing is the Italian Panini. They have a lot pre-made wraps, sandwiches, and panini’s that are named after actors or athletes. Most of them are about $ 7 bucks. I’m not much of a salad person, but my co-worker says that they’re pretty good. It’s your typical slightly upscale midtown deli. Nothing much to say.

A welcome find this place is. Cheap lunch options($ 8 or less) ranging from fresh grilled burgers to paninis and sandwiches-to-go to hot soups and salads. I went during prime lunch eating hours and the place was sparse. That usually means the food is bad but the I had a Signature #11(cracked turkey with honey mustard, muenster, some greens) on a here for $ 7.06 including tax and it was pretty good. It’s kinda of hidden underneath the passageway from Park Ave. and 46th St. to 45th and the entrance to the Grand Central Concourse. There’s plenty of places to sit and enjoy your meal with co-workers. Nothing special but I’d come here again if I wanted something cheap, quick, and nearby.

I’d say I’m here four out of five days of the work week for my romaine salad. The salads are pretty good, but I keep coming back to stay polished on my Spanglish. Puedo tener: pimientos pepinos cebollas zanahoria frijoles(rojo) y nuez. The salad is less than $ 7. That is all.
