Greenwich Gallery Frame Shop

This is the best framery in the city. Not kidding. I have had many pieces done here. Sinan, the main framer, is like an artist himself. Whatever you bring him, he has great ideas and reasonable prices. Plus look around because he finds unusual things from the outside. He has a good eye and great taste.

I recently walked in to this custom frame shop and gallery and was drawn in by its eclectic art and had tremendous amount of frame samples! After talking to gentleman named Numan and his coworker Cenan about a print i had that i wanted framed, they gave me plenty of options so I decided to bring it in and liked thier ideas for framing my artwork.
I’m glad i did ! The artwork looks AMAZING !
The workmanship was immaculate and price was very fair, Highly recommend this shop for your future framing needs and the artwork is unique in this gallery as well !

Had a great experience with these professional framers. They framed a 16-​photo series for me for an exhibition at a great price. I shopped around at framers who wanted much much more than I paid at Greenwich Gallery. They were friendly, timely and the photos looked great. I sold several of them. When I went back to change photos in one of the frames, they did it within an hour and when I asked how much it was, Sinan, one of the owners told me whatever you want to pay. That doesn’t happen too often in NYC. Highly recommend these guys. They’ve been around for a long time and deserve the business. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been coming here for almost 8 years because they’re the best and have the most competitive prices. They tell you what they’re going to do and why, and then it costs as much as they say it will. This may not seem monumental, but when it comes to getting art framed well in NYC, it completely is. Ask for Sinan. He’s the man.

I’m originally from the city but i spend most of my time in DC because of my business. One day i was walking and saw a picture in Greenwich gallery. I couldn’t leave without having it but didn’t want to take this big picture on the train. So i told the guy the situation and he said no problem he will deliver it for free. After couple days from getting home, my picture arrived and been happy since. I would defiantly go back and buy more pictures from Greenwich gallery

Owner is a complete jerk. Don’t ever go in here. Businesses like this should offer good customer service but this guy was just plain creepy and rude.

We live basically next door. I’d been here before and remembered that the guy was rude but decided to give him another shot. Maybe he was just in a mood last time? I only needed a matte for a picture and frame I already had so figured can’t be a big deal. When I went to pickup with my kids, I noticed that the picture was oddly cropped and inquired. He was instantly irate and went on about how he’s been doing this for 30 years etc etc. as he took it from my hands and started to say that he’d open it back up to show me. No thank you. $ 25 for a matte and seriously bad attitude. Sorry buddy but I doubt you’ll be doing this for much longer. This place is terrible. I downloaded the Unilocal app on my phone just to write this bad review. Don’t go.

In my whole life I have never met such an ANGRY, RUDE, ABUSIVE shop owner. Not only would he not allow me to explain what it was that I was looking for, he screamed profanity at me and ushered me out of the shop. I would rather have surgery than go into that shop again — don’t hire this animal for anything. you will only be disappointed. I don’t even normally write reviews, but I thought this was important to post. Discusting!

Incredibly rude and condescending. Do not go.
I explained i wanted to mount a piece that was 20×28 and wanted to see some options. He just smirked and pointed at the wall of frames. Conversation when downhill from there.
Not sure who he thinks he is, but clearly doesn’t want business to work. AVOID.

I dropped off a canvas «photo» to be mounted — they destroyed the canvas image. It had several blothches across the center and edges of the image — as if it had been set in water, chemicals? The owner, Noman Jalallar, was argumentative, rude and refused to give me a refund and said «this happens when we stretch the canvas». I now have to purchase a new canvas of a custom image that took nearly two months to get. They charged $ 80 — double «cuz it was a „rush“ job». CitiCard Visa notified. AVOID!!!

Really, what an asshole. I wanted to give a picture of downtown NYC to a friend as a gift and I saw some prints on this guy’s window. I entered the store thinking these would be like 10 bucks… Turns out they were 75 bucks a piece, priced and sold as original watercolors. That’s ok, images are nice and they might even be well worth that. But the things on sale are clearly print-​outs from his inkjet printer. You can see the f-​ing pixels! See you never, dude.

These guys are great. If you are looking for custom framing in the Village, and want an interesting selection of «not what you might think of» frame suggestions, this is a great place to go. And if you are nice, they will give you a fair price :)
One of the best features is that they work HARD. Right there in the basement. So I was able to turn around an awesome same-​day frame for my brother in time for his B-​day. I’ll be back!
