Find any place but this one. Cindy no longer works here and it hasn’t been the same since. Teresa can’t keep anyone and her 1970s straight cuts only work for her 65+ years old customers. Tashana was her next best stylist but also left. The atmosphere alone is drab and Teresa is very unprofessional/​disrespectful to her staff and customers.

This place is fantastic. Theresa and her employees are so nice to deal with. She gave me a haircut the day before my wedding that people said made me look 10 years younger.
She was born in Italy and raised in NYC, where she has been cutting hair for 30 years. She will share stories with you about all the crazy stuff that she sees going on in the city on a daily basis and about all the celebrities that go there.
She recently moved from Chambers street to 49^th, between 1^st and 2^nd. All of her regulars now travel uptown to get their hair done because they know what they’ll get, fast friendly service that is always consistent.
I won’t go to anyone else.
My wife even goes to her now, for her extensions. I didn’t want her to get them, because I thought they would look fake, but I’m glad that she was stubborn and got the extensions anyway.
Her new look really boosted her confidence and gave her so much sex appeal.

This place is a gem. The is the Salon version of Cheers and Friends. You never leave this place looking less than fabulous and feeling great from the people who work there and the people you meet there getting there hair done. Cindy is the greatest. There is no one topping her at doing extentions. Masur is also great just different techniques. Theresa is an artist… Love them all. Will never stop going to this shop.

This is a quaint hairsalon that caters to the taste of new york’s public. Theresa the shop’s owner goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable while she takes you to the next level of style ! Enjoy. The shop has revently moved to 52 Chambers

If you’re in the market for hair extensions, this place is a gem. I’ve been going to Cindy for five years and she is a master at weaves.
The rest of the services are reasonable ($ 45 blowout and $ 75 for relaxer).
Don’t be put off by the appearance — they do excellent work.
