Harper’s Highlights owner and colorist Tanya is a Vidal Sassoon trained colorist with more than 18 years experience. Tanya owned Pangea Salon for 5 years and now she is opening Harpers Highlights to provide a continued personalized service to clients

Tanya is a Vidal Sassoon trained colorist with over 18 years of experience. She was trained by the former owner of Sassoon and the head of their color department for North America. Tanya has been a business owner from 2007 when she opened Pangea Salon. After 5 years Tanya sold the salon. Tanya now has the pleasure of providing her clients with all of the one on one time they need and deserve. In the same salon she founded.

Found out about Harper’s on Groupon and I am so happy I did! When I met Tanya during my consultation she proved to be extremely knowledgable. She listened to my concerns and understood exactly what I was looking for. One week later, she worked her magic on my hair! I couldn’t be happier with the results! My highlights look exactly how I wanted, love it!!! Huge plus that is super sweet and funny! Highly recommend her! See you soon, Tanya!

Tanya is amazing! I found her through a groupon for a half head of highlights. She takes her time, and gets every single tiny hair. I will truly never get my hair done anywhere else. She’s also incredibly nice and fun to talk to while you get your hair done.

Tanya is AMAZING! I scheduled a consultation with her first to talk about how to approach my grown out ombré and self bleached chunks in my hair. Tanya KNOWS what she is talking about. She suggested a few styles and then I scheduled my coloring appointment!
She is one of the friendliest I’ve met and she makes you feel really comfortable right from the start! Addressing my problem with my self bleached «face framing highlights» (I want to emphasize this. They were brassy and horrible. Never try to do it at home), she darkened the roots to make it more natural. She added lighter pieces to my hair without it looking choppy and the different tones she used complemented my hair perfectly. I love that she made everything look so natural!
As a person who has gone to a plethora of salons and colorists in the city, I totally recommend Harper’s Highlights. Thanks Tanya!

I never received as many compliments on my color as I have after seeing Tanya. She always makes the right adjustments to have my hair remain as health as it be while making my wish come true. She is a master and always make me feel comfortable while in her chair. She is extremely personable and entertaining.

I am one of those rare women who was born with great hair. it is thick and healthy. It is almost naturally perfect… except for the color.
My natural color of hair vacillates between mousy brown and mousy blonde (and lately a lot of grey).
Tanya transforms my color from mousy to gorgeous! She uses several different colors and takes her time. She paints my head of hair into a work of art!
I have been going to her for over a decade and am always thrilled with her work and I walk out of the salon tossing my hair back and forth as if I am in a shampoo commercial. And I don’t even care about the odd looks I get!

Tanya is an artist. There is no other word to describe the way she approaches her craft. I have never met a colorist who is as brilliant at what she does. Tanya is thoughtful, smart and really strives to understand the «look» that a client wants. She layers in color in a masterful way. I cannot recommend her highly enough– she is a SIX on this scale!

One of Tanya’s sayings when you come in with grown out roots is, «let’s get you back to natural!» And with her, it’s true — she has the eye to properly match the color (s) of your hair to your skin tone so that you feel younger and brighter once it’s complete. I leave feeling like I don’t need makeup because the highlights are so flattering. She’s done lots of other looks for me as well, though — I’ve tried everything from platinum to strawberry blonde, and she always nails the nuances of the color and I leave feeling classy!

Tanya is the best! I first went to her for highlights years ago and she did such an excellent job, she became my colorist. I love that she makes the highlights or color treatments look natural. She also relaxed my hair in the past before I went natural, and she is quite the expert, because she minimized the damage from the double process. I can’t say enough good things about Tanya! I highly recommend her!
