When I was a new doctor, fresh out of optometry school, I thought we lived in a country where every patient who got a yearly eye exam was getting the best care they could receive.

I was wrong.

After working all over New York City, I quickly realized that almost the exact opposite was true. In my experience, all too frequently, patients are not receiving the level of EYE care that I feel should be standard. And many patients being seen in «opticals» across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island are either misinformed or under-​informed about their Eye Care & Eyewear options.

This is the reason we created iCare and Eyewear.

History

Established in 2012.

We opened the doors to our brick and mortar office in 2012 but our Quality Eye Care Experience has been perfected over many years and thousands of patient encounters.

We built our reputation on genuine service & high quality bi-​lingual patient care to predominately Latino populations.

iCare stemmed from our mobile Eye Care service that was not limited by boroughs, zip codes, state lines, languages nor bodies of water.

Our name is «iCare» because we really do CARE… and we just don’t say «we care», we prove it!

We give back to the world, and the community, volunteering Free Eye Care and EYE wear and serving the underserved.
