Influence Graphics

As I have stated, I would give this place a negative five stars if it was possible. The fact that they continue to lie is just unbelievable. I was at their office last year and they have finally written back lies, lies, lies. Totally crooked business that they are running. If you want to be ripped off and lied to go ahead and work with these guys. But why would you when there are so many better options!

I had to get some business cards printed, FAST, for an art show. I wanted to make sure the colors came out correctly on their press, and they had online chat support from their office that covered all the bases for me. The cards got turned around in less than 24 hours, and the quality is significantly better than I was expecting. I’m never using one of the online printers again — these guys were great!
The only downside I could report is that their site is not too friendly for the casual consumer. You don’t pay and upload your file in one step — you negotiate the price, pay via fax, then upload and wait for confirmation. That’s a process I’m used to from handling industrial printing from work, but it seemed a little cumbersome for a small run of business cards. They also don’t have a full list of paper colors/​options on their site, which would have bothered me if I wasn’t printing on bright white.

Had a great experience with Gregg there. Fair pricing. GREAT service, very friendly and accomodating. I will use no one else for my graphic and printing needs from now on!

I had a fabulous experience with Influence Graphics. I first considered them for the job because of their location – half a block from my office – but after speaking with Gregg, I was convinced this was the right place for my order. I was printing a batch of fantasy world map posters, and he helped me figure out the right process and pick the right paper – a gorgeous, heavy, watercolor-​feel stock. I get almost as many compliments on the paper quality as the art. :D
When I picked up my order, I found that Gregg had printed 280 maps instead of 200. That’s one hell of a Baker’s Dozen! The price was very reasonable by NYC standards and the turn-​around time was commendably quick! Highly recommended.

We then went to Cosmos Communications in Long Island City which turned out to be the parent company of Influence.
There I dealt with Richard Quarto who was outstanding. He not only ran test prints for us while we were at their print shop, but did not give us any of the BS we got from Influence.
Influence had refused to print out book the size we wanted. We wanted an 8.5×8.5 Influence said we could only have 8×8.
At Cosmos they said they could do whatever size we wanted.
After two sets of proofs with Cosmos and the printing/​messenger/​shipping our total was 200 $ less than Influence.
My suggestion. Go with the real deal. Cut out the middlemen.
