Great room and great food. Good for pre-​theater and great for sports viewing.

Great prices great music great atmosphere great food… horrible service. We waited about 45 minutes for a drink and our waitress seemed lost not good

I love the steak salad! Dina maria and sah are the greatest people ever they took really good care. Of us! We will def go there again !!

After a horrid experience at Smith’s Bar (a couple of doors down) we came here. It was such a relief.
The atmosphere was buzzing with happy patrons enjoying each other’s company. We came around Christmas and there were Christmas lights all around which gave it a nice festive glow. Not sure if these are always here or if they were seasonal.
The door man was very pleasant and inviting. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She told us she was the best and judging by other reviews I’ve seen, I believe that to be the case.
They are open late and serve food very late. We ordered nachos. We are huge fans of nachos. The waitress said they are her favorite and are very popular. We thought they were just ok.
The music was really good at times but then it would bizarrely switch to a slow track, which killed the mood. I asked if there was a DJ and our waitress told us they have a playlist that shuffles through hundreds of songs.
The Kir Royale that I ordered was mostly champagne and not enough Chambord. We were charged one price at the bar but another price at our table. We brought it to the waitress’s attention and she apologized profusely and immediately rectified the situation.
There are long tables in the center for large groups. There are two tops by the windows and other tables throughout. There’s a lounge area in the back which didn’t have anyone at the time of our visit. I saw a group using Hookah so that is also an option. The bathroom had dark toilets which I hate but it was pretty clean otherwise. The bar itself seemed clean. There were lots of tvs for sports enthusiasts.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. We would highly recommend it to others and we will definitely return.

Don’t do it. I have low expectations for this area food wise in the first place, but this dinning experience was like a long bad movie that kept going. Our server didn’t have hustle at all. She seemed very nice however. The food was dry, boring and sad. It took forever to get our drinks, almost 30 minutes. We also ended up just paying cash because we couldn’t get a card ran. It was however clean and the prices were reasonable.

Went with friends in summer. good music and nice crowd. Had good time.

Is this is a restaurant… or a nightclub?
I’m still debating that after dining out at Iron Bar and Lounge between Hell’s Kitchen and the Theater District. It’s listed as a Gastropub but I remember having a client who ran what he called a ‘Gastrolounge’ and that name really applies here. The place is LOUD! So loud even our waitress had a difficult time hearing me or my girlfriend. There’s a DJ (but no dance floor), there’s a bouncer in front checking ID’s, there’s a bunch of TV’s at the bar showing live sports (so is this is a sports bar?), there’s a bunch of craft beers… and some crappy ones… on tap (so is this a brewpub?), there’s bottle service and even a… bathroom attendant looking for tips? Oh, and they ask for your ID and Credit Card before you order. Yes, like you’re running a tab even though you’re not at the bar. Basically, because they don’t trust you and think you’ll skip without paying.
Never seen anything quite like it. And mind you, I live in Los Angeles. And involved doing creative in the restaurant business.
Fortunately, the food is really good.
The Whiskey and Cola BBQ Wings were a huge platter of a dozen wings with a great glaze and you really could discern between the whiskey and cola flavors. Well done. My girlfriend’s 8^th Ave Burger had great flavor on a fresh brioche bun. The real star though, is the fries. You get a ton and they’re covered in what they call a «Pimenton» seasoning. It’s more like a Cajun seasoning but really good flavor profiles.
The beer? Lots of taps, but a mix of local and regional craft beers, imports and mass-​produced brews. I had a local craft beer from Queens Brewing. Great beer, good pour, but served in a Budweiser glass? Uh, not a good idea. How much did you pay for that? Nothing? Because AB InBev gave it to you for promotion? If you want to serve a Bud Light in that, that’s fine but any craft beer fan would likely be insulted by that glass! Major no no.
The service? Our busser? Great. Really could handle a ton of plates and glassware. Our server? Different story. Just had some attitude and practically yelled (well, it was LOUD!) at me when I asked for my credit card to be run. But who can hear in there?
Lot of good about Iron Bar food wise, but the rest needs work. The place was busy but it was Friday night and every restaurant was busy. With waits. I’d like to see this place on a weeknight and see the difference. If they can fix some of the little things, they got a winner on their hands.

Went here on a Saturday night for a birthday celebration. It was packed. Nice mix of people. While waiting with my group and the bday girl for a table in the back by the DJ, We ordered some drinks and apps. The cocktail menu was very short, not that many options and nothing looked interesting to me, so I just had a house wine. The spot is mostly for beer drinkers, extended list for that. Also, the mixed drinks I had later in the night were bad, very weak.
The waiter we had while waiting was horrible. Very rude. She even gave us the wrong bill and when we told her, she just blatantly told my friend «you’re wrong» without even checking and walked away! Another waiter noticed something was up with the waiter and quickly apologized for her coworker and solved the situation.
The DJ that night was ok. He played some good songs. Made up for a bad start. Wanted the bday girl to have a great time, so we made the best of it and even danced a little.

Angela was freakin awesome!!! This place is great! Must go! Good food, great service! Angela is great! Will give you great recommendations on food and drinks! Super friendly and will offer up the best hookah combo in the house! Five stars!

I’m not sure how this place has close to a four star rating. I guess most people do not eat the food. My friend, and I needed a quick bite to eat on the way to a show. Iron Bar was super close and convenient so we stopped in and ordered the nachos. We didn’t expect much since this place isn’t fancy, but nachos are simple enough. Well, apparently not simple enough for Iron Bar. With cheese sauce, sour cream, unidentifiable meat, pieces of peppers, carrots, and an over-​cooked fried egg– these were the weirdest/​worst nachos I’ve ever had. In case the toppings weren’t gross enough the nachos were also served to us cold. Our $ 14 (not including tax and tip) definitely should have been spent elsewhere.
Also, worth noting– the bathrooms were pretty gross. There were only three stalls and one of the toilets was completely clogged. Maybe this place is okay if you just want a beer, but it’s not a good idea to come here if you’re hungry.

Sports bar feel with loud music for a good atmosphere they also have hookah for $ 30 and about 12 big tvs also a huge screen in the middle back of the room

This place is great for watching the game but, the hostess was accommodating. However I sat down and ordered wings and a few beers with a friend. I purchased the Unilocal deal that was 30 for 50 the waitress informed me that the deal was only good during the week. I read the fine print and it did not say that. I informed her of this, she then requested my phone so her manager could redeem it. I said have him come to me cause I don’t feel comfortable with you walking away with my phone.
With an attitude she said he is not going to come to you so give me your phone. I told her again no. The manager finally came and redeemed the deal.
Bad service and the wings weren’t impressive but the Stone IPA was good.

Absolutely amazing! The beer is cold… the hookah is smooth… and a big shout out to Sarah for the phenomenal service! Highly recommended and we’ll be back.

Well after disastrous visit to another bar we stumbled into the Iron Bar. WOW! Bartenders were awesome, drinks were perfect and the bar maid and Bartenders knew their trade. Wings were Krispy with a perfect mild sauce. The TVS were every where so we saw our favorite college team win.
This place is a keeper for future visits

Came here last night for a pre-​theatre show cocktail. I got exactly kind of what I expected. Horrible service, attitude, tourists, clutter. Kind of just a complete cluster f*ck. The place was pretty crowded and there was one girl running around frantically amongst millions of tiny tables. After trying to figure out a place to go and being indecisive Steph and I saw a sign outside for $ 5 wells, wine, and Sam Adams Lager. Tempting. You can find better happy hours out here but this one lasted till 8pm and we were kind of tired of looking and also only had about 30 minutes to kill. The bar area was filled so that put a damper on things. The worst part of the entire ordeal was with ordering. I would say something like «Uhhh, I will have a gin and tonic». Waitress looks at Steph. Steph: «Ummmm.. .. uhhh.. . I’ll-» Waitress: «You know what, I’ll just come back in a minute!» The first time she did it and showed up five minutes later to try and take our drink orders again, I was okay with it. The second time she did it while there was the slightest-​ever-​so-​damn-​near-​slightest pause in anyone’s voice for ordering a drink she took off like lightning and didn’t come back for another 5 – 10 minutes to just put the order in. I was so irate at this point that I couldn’t and didn’t want to order a second drink and took off. Also, the food on customers’ plates nearby looked very mediocre.

I like this place, I manage a club I the area so when I need a break and want hookah drinks maybe food I always think to come to this place but I am not ever 100% satisfied with the service …
To get more hookah or a refreshed hookah I have to wait awhile… We manage a club so we tip very well and expect good service so this place should step up their game and take care of people who are willing to actually pay for service.
It seems like they pay attention to people who are not spending and then people like us … I was told I cannot refresh my hookah I have to pay and order for another hookah at the bar lol …
I would give 5 stars when service is better… And owner steps his game up …

I have been coming to Iron Bar for over 2 years now and come here every week just to see Gabriella. She’s the most amazing waitress I have ever had!
I bring everyone for client meetings here and make sure I ask for her, always great service!

I stumbled on this place one night on my way home, the sign for Hookah got my attention so I went in to check out the space. The space is huge inside, lots of TV’s and a big screen with couches in the back. Great space to watch sporting events.
Originally I went in to check out the Hookah, so ordered one, the flavors are standard, there’s no frills or additions to the hookah, just the coal, flavor and the standard hose ($ 30) so the hookah is OK, maybe even a bit too pricy.
The food is descant I particularly like the Hells Kitchen Nachos, it’s made with cheese, guacamole, sour cream, steak strips, peppers, onions etc and eggs. Definitely one of the best nachos I’ve ever had, the only thing u would change is to cut the veggies in smaller pieces, they are bigger than the nachos but still good.
I have been here again, and will go again

Dont work too far from Iron Bar… first time coming here and i had a good experience. HUGE PLACE. mosty tourists. .time square area. I chose tosit at the bar, since it was just myself… but the hostesses/​greeters were sweet. it took a bit to get service, but once i connected with the bartenders, they seem pretty attentive. Both female bartenders were great — Billie Jean is my girl!:)
I ordered the steak salad… HUGEE salad. It was tasty and the steak was tender; cooked a perfect Medium rare.
I loved the bathroom. attendant…she was super sweet
will be returning.

Not a bad place. I strolled in here on the way to another bar because it was below freezing outside and we just needed to eat anything. Came around 4 which is the start of their happy hour. Their deals weren’t that great, $ 5 well drinks/​house wine/​house beer. The drinks were so week. I was definitely drinking just tonic without gin.
As for food, they had quite a few things to choose from. We got the general tso calamari, buffalo chicken pizza, and of course the nachos that other Unilocalers rave about. The calamari was delicious! It came in a cute takeout container and they give you a lot! The buffalo chicken pizza was okay, I wish they actually used buffalo sauce on the pizza not just the chicken. The nachos were hit the spot kinda nachos. The fried egg on top was something different but nobody really wanted to eat it haha.
The really annoying part was that the door kept opening so being seated by the door is a bad idea. We were freezing. At one point I put my coat back on.
Also the waitresses kinda took forever to come to our table. We had to flag her down a few times. I would suggest to purchase the Unilocal deal they have for this place cause it saved us 20 bucks!
It gets really crowded as soon as it hits 5 so come earlier.
