Specialties
Since its opening in 1997, Isohama has provided delectable Japanese cuisine to foodies residing in New York City’s Upper East Side.
In 2008, the restaurant underwent a full renovation bringing with it a cozy, burgundy room lit with dim candles and fit with serene curtains. Guests rave about our Teriyaki, Sashima Classic, Crazy Tuna Roll, and Crispy Crab Shumai.
In addition to our new look, Isohama retains our consistently friendly service and wide array of food selection ranging from Sushi and Sashimi to grilled Beef Steak. Isohama also offers full bar service stocked with only top shelf liquor served at the most reasonable prices. Give us a try during our next Happy Hour, 5pm-7pm daily!
History
Established in 1997.
Isohama has a long history in the Upper East side and we consider ourselves a permanent part of the neighborhood. Some of our staff have been in the neighborhood for over 20 years, developing a close relationship with many of our customers. Most of our recipes have not changed since day one, although we do update our specials with new flavors and our sushi chefs can be quite innovative.

Manager
My mother opened this restaurant and I’m so pleased with the team we have established today. I’ve learned a lot through mother and many of the chefs who have been here for years. We aim to provide you with the ideal dining experience, being everything you hoped for. Enjoy!
