edited, still filtered? confused. This place was great, and i finally opened up a Unilocal account and remembered this specific place. The hot food was above average, especially compared to other deli stores, and had great sandwhiches that were exceptionally cheap for new york deli stores. I love this place with is comfortable environment and dining area, with its unique feel to this place. I heard that it moved to Fulton st. and it also opened another deli store called Fresh Day or Fresh Foods located right near Rockefeller center. I do like that place better, but it’s quite far, but i love it. Great toppings for salads followed by an even greater price range. It opens 24/7, and its the place to stop and shop when you need things. Comparing this to other stores, especially deli-stores, it really does deserve five stars, its the place to go.

Pretty much the only place open in the Financial District past 8pm. Their bagels and cream cheese are heavenly! I also stopped in around midnight and was able to pick up some fresh cuts of mango which were delish. All was good.

I like the fact that it is open 24 hours but when I go there in the morning they aren’t even ready to serve you! So why be open? When I ordered a bagel it was like he slapped on so much cream cheese on that dang bagel I could barely see the bagel! The cost isn’t too.

I rediscovered this place last week and I LOVE it. I don’t know why this place isn’t more packed during lunch hour, it’s considerably less expensive than the other salad bars. Small salad(a very decent small) with 6 toppings is $ 6.99. Any toppings. I hate the places that charge different amounts for different vegetables. Café Health Exchange charges $ 1.50 for avocados. Really? I can buy an entire avocado for less. They have great grilled chicken here, good sandwiches, very affordable. I would know… because I’ve had them/ PLENTY of seating upstairs, good food, reasonable prices, why aren’t you there yet? See me here everyday, always with a puzzled look on my face because I inevitably forget to add something to my salad. Such is life, I guess.

Awful hot food bar. Everything I tried was really salty, except for the chicken noodle soup which had no flavor at all. I don’t know which was worse. I didn’t tried their salads but the grilled chicken smelled really good.

four stars all for the salads they make in front of you. very delicious. i also like their grilled chicken sandwiches on hero bread with hot sauce. ask for lots of it, because they tend to skimp. but it is clean and efficient. it gets packed at lunchtime, but the lines move pretty quickly. the cashiers are some of the fastest i’ve ever seen.

I didn’t know this place was technically called J&P Toda Corp, I believe they actually go by Café Toda. This is my neighborhood get-anything-you-need store. Soy milk at 3am, an avocado sandwich on Sunday afternoon, beer, wine, soda, yogurt, hot deli salad bar(which I never actually get), cereal, ketchup, bread, fruit, fresh smoothies, hot breakfast, lip balm, mints they have it all. I have not found a place with better bagels in the area. They only have plain cream cheese though, so I usually take a few everything bagels home and make ‘em myself. But seriously, best bagels in lower Manhattan. They do run out early sometimes though. The place also has a hidden, large dining room on the second floor if you want to eat in or have coffee up there. By the way, I think this place used to be called Café Namu. I liked Namu better.
