They are convenient because I live nearby & do decent work but they are a bit shady. Their prices seem to vary as while I generally have paid $ 6 to clean a shirt there, lately they are writing $ 7 on the ticket. When I ask about it they laugh & say «that’s right, $ 6 for blouse». Um, what? They also quoted me $ 6 to sew a single snap onto a blouse but they when I went to pick up the shirt yesterday they said they meant to write $ 8. For a single snap?! Since this is NYC, I think I’ll look around for another tailor to find someone with consistent prices & a little less shade.

I went in to get 5 buttons sewed onto my leather coat as I was scared to work on it myself. I should have asked for a quote prior to as it was 4 x more expensive then I was quoted by other tailors. This was the only place that was willing to do same day service.
It cost $ 40 to have 5 buttons sewed on!!! Once I got home and tried the coat on again the buttons were not evenly placed and had to get them redone elsewhere (see — Chen’s Professional Tailor Inc .)
