James Simring, DDS

Dr. Simring is an amazing dentist. He is very experienced and has always steered me the right way. He is caring and treats me as he might a friend, in the sense that he’s very genuine and advises me for my well-​being without any ulterior motive. He gives me choices in treatment when possible, while offering his own knowledgeable opinions to guide me. He provides anaesthesia based on my tolerance level, rather than a formula. He also has a great personality, reflected in such touches as keeping old fashioned dental memorabilia on his shelf in the bathroom. He also listens to a classical music station. It was nice having the Brahms lullaby playing during my drilling! It all really sets a good tone for the visit.

Dr Simring was my dentist from 1986−200x He was the best dentist I ever had the pleasure to see (I have a severe phobia about seeing dentists) in 1995 he had to pull a premolar and he was very upset and made me promise he’d never have to pull another one of my teeth. Unfortunately I moved away and my phobia with dentists didn’t help so I’ve had to spend quite a lot of root canals etc but was never treated as well as with Dr Simring. When I moved he even helped me find a dentist that was decent.
He was one of the youngest teachers at the NYU college of dentistry I know for sure as he wasn’t that much older than I; 10 years at the maximum. That would have made him a teacher at NYU in his early 30s I wish I was a rich man just so i could get the rest of my dental work done by this man.

Dr. Simring is absolutely the best dentist ever. Period. He is sweet and calm and pleasant but also is just a fabulous dentiist. He will never overbill you or try to get you to have work done you dont need. He will come up with great solutions to difficulte dental problems. I have recommended so many people to him, all of whom are still going to him. I wish all my doctors could be like Jim Simring.

I’ve always had horrible anxiety going to the dentist. He’s super calm, sweet, has a silly sense of humor, and lets you know when it’s going to hurt.

I have tried several dentists in New York and have chosen Dr. Simring due to his excellent care and kindness. I find him extremely professional and he does not try to push procedures on me that are money makers for the dentist but not really essential. My brother is a dentist in another state and he has always agreed with all the decisions and recommendations that Dr. Simring has made. Plus, he is the one dentist who got me to floss on a regualar basis, kudos to Dr. Simring!

I have a problem with my wisdom tooth and I try to find the good dentist. Anyway I found him who very gentle, kindness and great professional. When I got there first thing he talked for make me feel relax. I ‘m kind a nervese and a little scare but he really friendly so make me comfortable. He very soft and gentle when he took my tooth out. If you looking for a good dentist. I ‘m pround to recomend this guy.

Dr. Simring is smart, empathic, considerate of your time constraints and also just a sensitive human being. On top of all this, I finally feel like I’m making some progress toward solving my many dental issues. I left Dr. Michael Chang to come to Dr. Simring because I didn’t want or need a loose cannon experience with my dentist. Dr. Simring is in control of himself, and is a consummate professional. And when you have a man with a sharp object in your mouth, you need to have a reason to trust that at the end of the appointment, you have your dignity and your health intact!

Going to Dr. Simring is a very pleasant dental experience. The staff is extremely friendly. The hygienists are all great and do a thorough and professional job. Dr. Simring is also really great. I have never had a bad experience even when I was getting a wisdom tooth pulled. Half of my office goes here! If you are looking for a great dentist, I would highly recommend this place.
