Joannie is great. She really is client service oriented. She listens to your concerns and is a fantastic acupuncturist. I’ve been going to her for about a year for reasons such and ear pain, colds and flu, and overall health and I would recommend her to all my friends. Go see her and I promise you’ll be happy that you did.

I had double knee surgery last year and while Physical Therapy helped, I was still feeling pain a year later. My doctor suggested I try acupuncture treatment, but I had never done. Referred by a friend, I found that Joannie provided extraordinary one on one treatment as she only works on one patient at a time. As I was a bit nervous on my first time, Joannie first sat down with me to get full background on my medical history. Once complete, she explained the process and discussed additional options such as cupping and using electronic therapy. With her skillful treatment, she has helped me to get back to playing basketball pain free earlier than my doctor initially estimated. I also recently hurt my back weight lifting. She was able to provide treatment on the painful area and helped me to alleviate the frequency of my back spasms.
Another benefit is she takes my insurance which helps keep my total treatment cost very low. I highly recommend Joannie for anyone who needs treatment.

Joannie has been absolutely brilliant for giving me a first time acupuncture experience. I have always been curious to try acupuncture yet kept pushing it off, secretly afraid of needles.
Straight off a long haul flight from Europe I went to see Joannie. Asking the right questions she made sure I was first fully comfortable before starting with any needles. The seriously eye opening experience I had was that from being slightly afraid I was completely at ease and actually really liked the needles doing their thing. I could barely feel them being inserted, except for one of the last ones being inserted into my calf, yet even that was not painful, I could just feel it. Doing that one last just showed to me that Joannie was making sure my first time experience was build-​up gradually and in a nice order. Perfect for a total newbie like me!
Now I appreciate and realize that acupuncture is not a one-​off thing, but in terms of real results noticeable: I felt super energized the rest of the day and did not experience any jetlag in the following days either, it was as if my system was simply reset! For me this was an excellent experience and great eye-​opener.
Yup I am in and will certainly be coming back!

I’ve been seeing Joannie for a couple of years for anything from injuries from running and biking to gastrointestinal issues. She always diligent with her diagnosis and consulting and has a calm demeanor. She always checks in with my comfort level as I don’t always ‘enjoy’ the needles. I’m usually so comfortable I take a nap while the needles do their thing. She has also prescribed me with some herbs drinks that cleaned me out in a good way and helped to get my insides in order along with her acupuncture services.
Don’t forget that acupuncture isn’t like a pill that give you a quick temporary fix. It takes a bit longer but you fix your issues rather than cover them up with drugs.

Joannie is truly fantastic. I was recommended to her by personal referral a few years ago for help with stress and stomach issues. Not only did she make me feel super comfortable, but she also took an extensive history and asked me some questions that brought out other issues I’d been experiencing. With a combination of herbs and acupuncture, she had me feeling better in no time! I recently began seeing her again for other issues, and once again she has been amazing. My current issue was resolved in just a few days, and it was something I’d been suffering with for weeks!
I’ve seen other acupuncturists in the past, and between her calming presence, excellent bedside manner and thoroughness, and overall skill, she is really one of the best in her field.

I’m over 35 so considered high risk in terms of pregnancy. I went to Joannie almost weekly during my pregnancy just to promote general health and ease some of the discomfort. I’m not a fan of needles but she immediately puts you at ease and you almost forget you have needles all over. Most times I would even fall asleep and just wake up feeling refreshed. After my delivery, I had a somewhat painful and long recovery but Joannie helped relieve some of the post partum issues as well. I’d strongly recommend her and I have to several friends who have all raved about her.

Joannie is excellent. It was my first try of accupuncture and I’m now a convert. Very chilled manner, makes you feel relaxed before the session. Just the right amount of chattiness. She talks you through the treatment and your issues (e.g. digestion and/​or aches and pains). The process is painless and relaxing. I’ve fallen asleep many a time. Would totally recommend. I am feeling the benefits after 6 months of seeing Joannie — less backache and better pooping abilities. A good price too, great value.

I was terrified of needles and never believed in Accupuncture but after meeting Joannie and doing a few sessions, I am not only a believer– I have also referred 6 of my friends to her who are currently patients as well. Joannie has a unique calming quality. She genuinely cares about her patients and always goes above and beyond. When you walk in, you immediately leave the hussle and bussle behind and have an hour that is just you. Accupuncture has helped me focus and has alleviated my stress, back pain, and cramps. I never really believed in Acupuncture before but Joannie completely changed my mind. I would highly recommend Joannie, she is kind and gentle and walks you through everything she will be doing and the benefits you may get out of it. Accupunture is always something I’ve been terrified of but because of all the benefits I’ve heard about it, I decided to try it out. Joannie Wu at Remedy NYC really knows how to make you feel at ease while she goes to work on you. With gentle hands, I can feel the blood flowing more freely in my body once she’s finished.
