Jodi is fantastic! I’ve known Jodi as a friend for years, and when I decided to sell my apartment and purchase a new one, there was no doubt that I would use Jodi as my broker. After one open house, we had multiple offers on my apartment, including offers above asking price. She was extremely helpful during the negotiations for both my sale and my purchase. Jodi is always very responsive and isn’t afraid to push for what is best for her clients. I would definitely recommend using Jodi.

Jodi is great!!! I worked with her to purchase my first home in Manhattan. I met her after having difficulties with an agent from a different company. Jodi was extremely understanding of that poor experience, very active and responsive in her communications, extremely diligent in sharing updates and info on properties, and, most importantly for me, was respectful and a pleasure to be around. Jodi was AMAZING! She was extremely communicative, responsive (via email and phone), and I truly felt like she had my best interests in mind given my roommates constraints on apartment hunt. She ended up finding us the most wonderful first apartment in NYC — a great (low-​ish) rent, location, building. My roommates and I were so worried we wouldn’t find a place we truly all liked and after we saw this we were like done…

Jodi was fantastic! She found my two roommates and myself our first apartment in the city. The whole process was quick, easy, and clear. She helped us find a place that matched all of our criteria and was better than anything we expected to find. We had difficulty with other realtors pushing us to go outside our price range, but Jodi was very responsive and accommodating to what we asked.

I can’t say enough great things about Jodi. In the six years I’ve been in NYC, she found me two great apartments. She isn’t concerned with finding you just any apartment, she busts her ass to make sure she finds you the PERFECT apartment. She’s been doing this long enough that she won’t bother wasting your time seeing places that she already knows aren’t good enough. You will only see places that are in your budget and fit exactly what you’re looking for. She is quick, efficient and works harder than any Realtor I’ve ever met. If you need to find a great place, look no further. I’m telling you, she’s amazing.

Jodi is AMAZING! I have used Jodi in the past and she has always been fabulous! Most recently she helped me purchase my first Manhattan apartment. She was so helpful every step of the way. Jodi is so knowledgeable of the real estate market and could tell me immediately her thoughts on different apartments and whether each was a good buy. Always had comps to give me context. I saw a lot of apartments and she was right on all of them! Jodi is the most accessible person I have probably EVER met in my life. I could send an email and was guaranteed to have a response back within minutes. Jodi is so sweet and helpful and always has your best interests at heart. After moving about once a year for the past five years, I picked up a lot of really, really bad experiences with realtors — everything from dragging their feet on leases to flat out lies. From those, I try to do as much as I can myself to avoid dealing with them.
Jodi was, in every way, the complete opposite of all the realtors I had worked with in the past. She was always very positive, extremely honest, very accessible and very quick to respond to any questions. All of this is already five stars, but she took it a step further and on two separate occasions, went above and beyond to make the process and experience as smooth and pleasant as possible. It was the first time I felt someone was actually working on my behalf for an apartment.
If we ever move in NY again, she will be the first person we call and the only person we’ll recommend to find anyone an apartment. I have nothing but positive things to say about Jodi and you will too!

Jodi could not have been more helpful! My roommates and I I were looking for a 3BR apartment and Jodi found us one in our price range within a week. She responded quickly, outside of normal business hours, and was flexible with her schedule. I contacted her with any questions I had throughout the process and she answered them all. She completely understands the NY market and gives advice without pressuring you. I would highly recommend Jodi to anyone looking in NY!

Jodi was great! She found us an awesome place within our price range and in an area we love. The apartments I saw with her were far better than what I had seen with anyone else, and if I didn’t like an apartment I didn’t feel pressured or guilted as I did with other brokers. As another reviewer mentioned, Jodi was insanely responsive, which is HUGE when trying to schedule viewings while at work. She doesn’t jerk you around or take you to places that clearly don’t fit your criteria. The 15% fee is a lot but common amongst NYC brokers, and as I plan to stay in this apartment for a while, I believe it will definitely be worth it.

Jodi was great to work with. After looking for a place by myself, I contacted Jodi through a mutual friend and we found my place within one day. She knew what I wanted and only took me to places that she would live in, which she knew was what I wanted also. She even met me a few extra time to show my mom the final few places to help me in my decision. I love my new place and wouldn’t have found it without her. Jodi helped me through the entire process and kept me updated on what was happening. She even put me in touch with great movers who had the best prices. Great person and great Realtor!

Jodi was a pleasure to work with. Moving into the city for the first time, I was under pressure to make a quick decision about where to live. Jodi was able to accommodate all of my time constraints, meeting me at the times that were convenient for me. She considered all of my requirements for what I was looking for in an apartment and showed me the perfect place. I ended up renting the second place she showed me. She has been easy to reach for any follow up questions I’ve had. I already recommended her to a friend who is looking for a place.

I really can’t emphasize how terrible my experience with Jodi was. Based off previous reviews, I was really looking forward to working with her, as I too had to quickly move to New York and was a newcomer to the city and its overwhelming housing market. From the very beginning, however, Jodi was extremely unprofessional not only in the way she communicated with me, but also while we were viewing apartments. Instead of telling me about the properties and the specific neighborhoods we were visiting, she was too preoccupied with her phone. She didn’t have any keys to the apartments we visited, and instead relied on residents coming in and out of the buildings to let us in. She had me drive her from apartment to apartment, and there were several times where she had no idea where we were. Thankfully I had my GPS handy, but for someone who claims to be an expert on Manhattan and the surrounding neighborhoods, I was surprised that we got lost as many times as we did.
Also as one other reviewer commented, Jodi was not upfront and transparent about the application process. As she knew from the beginning, I only had one day to view apartments since I lived out of town and couldn’t stay for multiple days. However, even with knowing this, it wasn’t until 4:00pm (an hour before leasing offices close) that she told me that in order to secure the apartment I was interested in, not only did I have to fill out an application (which I expected), but I had to pay $ 200 for her to process it, which she then told me could take up to a week. Although I expected to pay a fee, she had never once mentioned that I would have to pay $ 200 ($ 100 for them to run my credit, and an additional $ 100 for them to run my guarantor’s credit). Since I was desperate, I decided to overlook this complete lack of professionalism and transparency on her part, and fill out the application and hand her the money. Yet it was only after I frantically filled out the application, and was handing her my application fee, that she then decided to tell me that the apartment I wanted requires an in-​person interview, which couldn’t be scheduled until later that week.
Had Jodi had my best interests at heart, she would have been more explicit about the entire process before we began our search. She would have told me immediately after viewing the places, which one required interviews, so I could schedule them that day and not have to make the seven-​hour drive back up to New York again for a 10-​minute interview. Had Jodi had my best interests at heart, she would have been more understanding about my concerns and frustrations, and not have coped an attitude toward the end of our search when I was hesitant about handing over so much money in fees, which she continually emphasized was simply «standard practice».
Although I was extremely desperate for a place, I decided to seek out other brokers because after her lack on transparency and attitude, I wasn’t comfortable handing her a 15% commission. I then stumbled upon Cooper and Cooper Real Estate, and I was happy to find that my concerns about Jodi were proven correct. Not only did she lie that the 15% broker fee was standard (Cooper and Cooper Real Estate only charges a month’s rent for their fee), she also lied about the application fee, previously stating that I would never find it cheaper than $ 100. With Cooper and Cooper not only did I pay less than that, but they did not charge an additional fee to run my guarantor’s information, another practice Jodi claimed was normal.
Bottom line: Don’t let Jodi and Town Real Estate scam you into paying more than you have to for a place, even if you are desperate like I was. There are nice brokers out there, like Ryan Robles at Cooper and Cooper, who are actually knowledgeable about the areas you’re interested in and really do have your best interests at heart. Unfortunately, Jodi was not one of those brokers, and I would never recommend her to a friend.

Jodi was a passionate yet highly diplomatic advocate and a patient and generous guide for me – a nervous and risk-​averse new comer to the NYC housing maze. She located for me a great apartment (amazing, given my budget) – which another real estate agent couldn’t find – and negotiated successfully to satisfy most of my substantive demands (e.g. on the starting date). Due to my physical absence from NYC, we had to process the transaction remotely, but Jodi was extremely patient and consistently accommodating my needs in ironing the logistical wrinkles. There were some peculiar issues (arising from the remoteness of the transaction and my status) that were not disclosed from the beginning, but she was exceptionally prompt and responsive in communicating on those issues and answering my nervous questions.
In short, professionally competent, gracefully aggressive, and super-​friendly. Highly recommended!

Jodi was absolutely fantastic to deal with !!! I had an interesting experience with her, as she was not my broker, but the broker on the other side of my rental transaction. It was a challenging board process and she was the best — responsive, thorough, and always available for questions or to show the apartment again. I would recommend Jodi to any friend /​family member… anytime !!!

ONE OF A KIND! On the hunt for a new apartment, I inquired about a listing and Jodi was the listing agent — sadly, they had just accepted an offer but Jodi offered to take me on as her client. She had no idea what she was in for! Saying that I am particular about what I like and «need» is an understatement… and I must move in 1 week… and I have a dog.
Jodi was attentive, understanding, compassionate, accommodating and always up for the challenge. When there were moments of doubt about finding a great place on a time crunch within my budget, something better was just around the corner and quick to be pulled out of her hat. She is so responsive and goes above and beyond. She was never pushy and I felt completely honest and comfortable with Jodi, so that I can share my needs as if I am talking to a friend and not a business partner. Bottom line, I am not only grateful to have worked with Jodi but to have a new friend! I recommend her 100% to anyone looking for a new home in NYC.

Jodi is amazing. My roommates and I couldn’t have had a better experience with her. We found her by a fluke when my friend saw a building that she was leasing and passed along her phone number. I called Jodi and within 15 minutes she had sent me 10 great listings of potential units that fit our criteria. We had been working with other realtors for a few weeks and we had not seen any of these listings.
We set up a time to meet that night and we saw 3 places. 2 of those places quickly became the top 2 places we had seen in our entire search. Jodi guided us through the process and we had all the necessary paperwork for the apartment we wanted. The next morning, we were the first application in and were approved the next day.
It was 44 hours from the first time we contacted Jodi to time we had approval of our application (and the approval process which was out of her hands took 26 of those hours). Finding an apartment in NYC is normally a very overwhelming and painful process, but she made it quick, easy and manageable for us. Jodi is extremely responsive and gave us all her effort. She was never pushy and was realistic and honest with us about the approach. We could not be happier with our unit and we know all of our friends are going to be envious of our place. I would recommend Jodi with the highest regard

Jodi was extremely attentive and held my hand through the whole process of buying our first place in the city. My wife and I could not be happier with the loft Jodi found for us. She really listened to our needs and produced the perfect place. We are very busy and didn’t have a ton of time to go hunting so we appreciated Jodi’s discretion in only showing us apartments that would work for us. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to friends of mine. When I make my next million, she will be my first call.

Jodi is the best of the best. I wish I could give her 10 stars! She is on top of EVERYTHING and extremely responsive to emails, texts, phone calls, telepathic and smoke signals without being the least bit pushy! Very professional and sweet. She will be your biggest advocate for whatever you may need. Most agents waste your time by showing terrible listings that are out of your price range and in neighborhoods that aren’t even in your search, but Jodi really listens to your needs and does not disappoint. She really made the entire process infinitely easier and she is so down to earth that I felt like I was being helped out by a friend instead of a broker! Answered the barrage of questions I had and even helped me out of a pickle with my old apartment. I HIGHLY recommend her!
