Jorge Barbershop

A classic, old style Dominican barber shop on a street dominated by Dominican oriented businesses. full service haircut, they use a straight razor. the guy who cut my hair was working very feverishly, including using the straight razor while he was talking on the phone which probably raised my heart bit a bit but he did an excellent job. most of the barbers here are younger guys who look like they probably play baseball. there is a hookah in there! dunno what they use it for, but I never saw a hookah in a barber shop before so I thought that was pretty cool (-: I definitely would get my haircut hair again next time I am roaming around Washington Heights, an area I really like.
