Dr. Josephson is the very best! His calm, kind demeanor really puts me at ease. I am a person who is incredibly fearful of dentistry but i can honestly say after today’s root canal, my fears have been greatly diminished. Dr. Josephson is always incredibly understanding of my uneasiness and talks me through the entire procedure. He never makes me feel rushed and answers all of my questions, no matter how insignificant they might be. I’m truly thankful that i was referred to Dr. J and so appreciative of his kind and understanding disposition. I trust him completely and i wont go to anyone else!!! Today i walked out of his office smiling having just had a root canal. Thats pretty incredible considering the extreme level of fear i had walking in. Can’t recommend him enough. An big part of my fear is getting the novacane shot (s) and i have to say — i didn’t even FEEL it today and he gave me several. He does great work. Hes super efficient. Always makes me feel comfortable and hes just a really nice person in general. Thank you so much Doc, you have totally changed my mindset on something that has bothered me since childhood. You ROCK!!!

Dr. Josephson is a caring and thoughtful doctor. He also accepts many insurance plans. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years and in that time he has performed many challenging procedures on me. Most recently he restored my two front teeth with two beautiful crowns. His work is high quality and precise. He has also performed several root canals which have lasted for many years. I highly recommend Dr. Josephson.

AVOID! He was so harsh on my teeth. Did not show care at all. Worst of all — BAD hygiene! I felt sick afterwards.

Dr. Josephson is wonderful. I had my first visit yesterday and it was Dr. Josephson and not an assistant who took care of my cleaning! I am pregnant and although it is safe to have x-​rays done while pregnant with proper protection, Dr. Josephson din’t want to take any risks. This is such a nice change of pace from other dentists who tend to want to drain your insurance for the year — especially when they cover x-​rays like mine. He was so wonderful and also ended up recommending a few good strollers! While leaving the office, a patient came in from California who used to live in NYC but apparently still comes in to see Dr. Josephson when in town. That’s a sign of a good dentist! I will definitely be back!!!

I found Dr. Josephson via ZocDoc, which listed him as a top rated dentist that accepts my insurance in my zip code. Though it’s a small office, they’ve integrated well with the ZocDoc system, allowing you to pre-​fill out your forms prior to your visit. Furthermore, Dr. Josephson takes care of your entire checkup, including cleaning, which is typically done by an assistant. He’s very personable and knowledgeable in dental care. I learned that he’s been in practice at the same location for over 21 years, so his practice has clearly been a success (especially given the high rent of the première location on 57^th St). I highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking a routine checkup and look forward to my return visit in 6 months.

I came to this dentist after another dentist totally botched my cleaning and x-​rays. He gave me a great cleaning, spotted the other dentists mistakes, and filled my cavities without issue. He’s also not too chatty, which I like! Why do dentists love to talk when your mouth is full?

Yesterday I had an emergency. I was visiting NYC and I cracked a tooth. Dr. Josephson came highly recommended by my friend. When I called the office the receptionist told me to come in right away and they would take care of me. I couldn’t have asked any more than that.
After waiting only 10 minutes they brought me right in. The office is very nice, modern and efficient. They took a digital x-​ray to see how deep the crack went. A few minutes later Dr. Josephson came in and review the x-​ray with me, gave me his recommendation and discussed my options. He was very pleasant and down-​to-​earth. We decided to go with a temporary crown. When we were done he took the name and phone number of my dentist in Florida because he wanted to discuss the work that he did. I was not expecting that but it was a nice touch.
I would highly recommend Dr. Josephson to any NYC person or anyone visiting the Big Apple

Dr. Josephson’s office is convenient to reach between 6^th & 7^th Avenue on the north side of 57^th Street. He’s a sole practitioner with a receptionist/​secretary up front and newly remodeled dental chairs and rooms in back. Most dentists are in group practices nowadays and you can feel sort of lost. I liked getting individualized attention from just one competent, pleasant professional.
Over the past six years, Dr. Josephson has replaced crowns for me, cleaned my teeth, and filled cavities. I have been well treated and feel good about the dental work performed. I recommend him without any reservations.

I had eight veneers done at this dentist and it was the most painful dental experience I’ve ever had. During those three excruciating hours, I really wanted to get up and leave.
Not only was the work performed painfully, but the quality was also horrible. Another dentist saw them and confirmed in a letter stating the dental work was clearly below the standard of care. The veneers exhibit grossly ledged and open margins at the gingival of each tooth and show voids behind the veneers. What that means is that if I don’t replace them right away, the teeth behind will decay and eventually I’ll lose all those teeth.
Stay away from this dentist!!!
