I met Josh through my former PR agency where we organized many events for the luxury accessory clients.(all big well known names) The images are so important for us to service press and for clients to use for promotion. We would always pray Josh was available because he made us shine with clients, and they came to expect him.
You may notice Josh shoots Victoria Secret models as well, which is a testament to his talent. I had hired Josh for a non profit event and some of those famous faces were so impressed with his work, they started hiring him privately and spread the words to their friends. Imagine these fashion models who work with the gamut of photographers, but chose him. That should speak volumes.
I also hired Josh to shoot my family, and my elderly grandparents just adored him and were overjoyed with our family photos. It was the best gift I could have given them and I’m eternally grateful.

We would not hesitate to recommend Josh to any engaged/​married couple. Josh was amazing at communicating and directing us and executing creative shots. He helped us feel relaxed so that the expressions and gestures captured in the photos were all natural and genuine rather than posed. All of our wedding guests raved on and on about how professional the photos looked and that we could be models in a magazine. His creative vision is why we chose him. We didn’t want typical cheesy shots that couples tend to have of their wedding. His editorial style, professionalism, and his natural talent for engaging couples make every shot unique and epic.

Josh did an outrageous job photographing our September NYC Wedding. As soon as you see Josh’s work it is evident how talented he is. When we met Josh to discuss our wedding a year before we got married he impressed us with his easygoing manner and outstanding portfolio. Josh’s work speaks for itself. He is able to capture incredible candid moments that are both artistic and intimate. He goes above and beyond — getting to know the couples that he works with at an engagement shoot and doing everything in his power to capture special moments over the course of your wedding day. Our only issue is now picking photos for our album because we ended up with so many spectacular ones to choose from. Working with Josh was one of the best decisions we made over the course of wedding planning and we can’t more highly recommend him.

I found Josh through a friend, who also used him as their wedding photographer. He’s got a more modern style to his work than a whimsical, vintage feel and I was just absolutely impressed. He’s actually based out of New York working for the fashion industry as well, but is originally from SF, so he will fly out to the Bay Area for your wedding. After I researched all different photographers exhaustingly, I found that Josh offered so much more than other photographers …

Most importantly, when we met up with him, we hit it off immediately. He’s really relaxed and when we observed him at our friend’s wedding in SF, he is extremely efficient and quick, which was important to us since our wedding was large (300 ppl) and we wanted to squeeze in as much as possible in our shoots with family, first look, table to table visits, sunset photos, etc.
We ended up doing a bi-​coastal engagement shoot (since I was in NY for my brother’s graduation anyway). While other photogs charge a rate for a set amt of hours, Josh absolutely LOOOOVES what he’s doing and is so enthusiastic about it, he’ll stay with you all day/​night until he gets his shots. I would estimate each of our e-​sessions were about 5 – 6 hours. We were getting tired towards the day but Josh kept on going =).
On the day of our wedding, Josh and Gary (his assistant, such a nice guy!) was punctual, relaxed (just what you need), and patient. Although we didn’t get every shot on our shot list, we were still very very happy with the service and memorable photos we received from the entire day. They were able to go with the flow when plans changed a little bit and it didn’t bother them at all.
We love Josh and we’ve recommended him to so many of our friends already… some of them did end up signing Josh, if they were lucky enough to catch him early b/​c his schedule books up quick due to the fact he only books a few weddings on the West Coast. Thank you Josh again and again for everything you’ve done to preserve one of our most memorable days!!!

I am a special events planner and have used Josh to shoot numerous upscale events and cocktail functions, and now request him for pretty much any event that I run. I really can’t speak highly enough about his work– he is great at getting the perfect shot, and his photos are really beautiful and artistic looking. He also made a great video montage of all the best shots from one of our events that I have used to promote other parties that we have hosted. I recommend Josh Wing highly for all photographic needs!
