My friends and I were actually here during their grand opening weekend(they gave us a bottle of wine – random but hey thanks for the free wine) and since then k2 has become my go-to spot to relieve stress when I’ve had a long and tiring week. It’s not one of those flashy places that are part lounge, part club, part bar – this is just straight up karaōke rooms. You will likely hear your neighbors belt it out during the few seconds before your next song comes on. But it’s a fun place if you’re into this sorta thing and if you’re in good company. Our names are literally written on the walls(they used to give out markers so people could graffiti up the rooms) and I’ve made some great drunken memories here so I’m definitely biased. :)

Main thing about this place that it loses points for is that their rooms smell like a mixture of smoke and popcorn. Seems like they allow people to smoke inside.

The rooms are okay. Songs are not updated. Customer service sucks. They haven’t checked up once and I literally had to run out of the room 5 times to order beer? like REALLY? & you demand tips?(tip was included on the bill) umm I don’t think so. The only good thing about this place is that you get to smoke inside the room anytime of night without restrictions unlike other ktown karaōke places. KUDOs for letting us puff puff puff on our cancer sticks!

They charged us for a full hour for going in to say hi to our friends. The guy saw us go in and come out literally five minutes later and insisted that we were there for an hour and refused to let us go without paying. Terrible service.

Hard to find but stumbled up this gem. Grafiitti all over the rooms and its part of this karaōke’s charm! Staff is amazing and friendly even after we danced on the tables and trashed the rooms! They even gave us extra stuff and prices were really reasonable. You can get at loud as you want and get crazy here with your group. Soju and beers nonstop here!

came with a large group of non-koreans to show them a good time around ktown. great customer service, friendly staff, and updated song selections. would recommend phoning in reservations prior to visit due to high demand especially on weekends after 10pm.

Their songs are quite easy to navigate and another Unilocaler mentioned — not too hard to figure out even though it is all in Korean. The rooms aren’t terribly pricey — $ 80 for a room that fit 12 people and we belted our lungs out for 2 hours. A lot of drinks and specials, staff members were nice, but not overly friendly. Their entrance is rather creepy and you could never tell that you are actually about to enter into a karaōke lounge. It feels like you are entering into a completely different world. First you enter through a door and you see a long narrow hallway that is extremely quiet(as in, good setting for horror movie quiet). They’re located on the 2nd floor, but they’re quick to greet you. Scored a 92 singing«My Humps» by the Black Eyed Peas — always a good night when this happens.

Came in a group of 11 – 12. Plentiful song choice, easy to control despite the fact that the remote control was 99% in Korean. I was planning to go to a joint I had been to just down the block, but they had gone out of business. I’m glad it happened because we ended up here at K2 and had a great night. We will come back. Also, love the sharpie graffiti.

so after we had killed a few rounds of beer at Rattle n Hum, we descended upon K2(«trust me, it’s right up this block»)…I’m sure we coulda sold tickets to watch us sing, we were something like The Boy Band From Hell. first hour: metal up your ass. Children of Bodom, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Kamelot. second hour: I Love the 80s. Bön Jovi, Whitesnake, Night Ranger, Poison. third hour: the shit hits the fan. Limp Bizkit, Ke$ha, Madonna, Aerosmith’s song from«Armageddon», Numa Numa, Rick Roll, Bye Bye Bye. the remote is completely indecipherable unless you know Korean, but like with old-school video games, I learned how to get by with button mashing. get that ventilation system fixed ASAP and we will be better friends, K2. still, you’re good peoples.

I have to be honest and admit that I was not expecting much from this venue. Karaōke at a bar in Koreatown is not exactly my scene, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed myself last night. A friendly, attentive hostess, an initmate atmosphere; there were a lot of things to admire about this bar, especially when compared to other karaōke joints I had been to. There was really no rhyme or reason to the play list, but I still found enough tunes by the Cranberries and The Offspring to make it through the evening. As mentioned above, there could have been some more creativity to the graffiti, but I still had a great time.

Flashing. Lights. Even the tambourine flashes when you hit it. You can’t avoid the flashing overhead colorful lights that pop everytime you start each song. There’s graffiti on the walls and there was no wait on a Friday night at 11ish which was great for a last minute karaōke venture. The songs are a strange mix of old school and then new songs from approx 3 months ago. They aren’t the most updated but they’re friendly and if you like a light show and being graded after each song(classic Korean tactics) then this place is good to go! Oh and free Asian cracker mix with your baeksoju.

This place had plenty of songs by the Strokes and Blur so it gets an extra star just for that. The rooms each have their own light shows so if you’re susceptible to seizures, be aware of the strobes. The remote controls are a bit tough because only a few buttons are labeled in English. The speakers have great sound quality. The rooms were a bit warm. The room we were in had so many penises drawn on the walls that I thought Jonah Hill’s character from Superbad had been in that place. They take credit cards but there’s a surcharge which isn’t cool at all. Despite my issues with the place, I can’t wait to go back.
