I am so glad that she was recommended to me. Very pleasant experience dare I say, at the OBGYN. She is very personable and does not rush you with your questions.

My previous OBGYN (NY Pelvic Pain) was a complete nightmare. They had an automated call service center as they had multiple offices throughout NYC. It was nearly impossible to ever get through and speak to a live human being. The last straw was when I had an abundance of tests done for a freak incidence where my period lasted for 3+ weeks with no sign of lightening up, which is pretty alarming (thankfully everything turned out ok). NY Pelvic Pain told me they would have the results in a FEW DAYS. No news is usually good news, but being concerned, I called them to confirm 2 weeks later to put my mind at ease. When I finally got someone on the phone they told me my results where not in yet. I was livid and told them to cancel my annual I had pre-​scheduled 8 weeks in advance; I’d had other issues with them in the past I won’t get into. Someone called me back 5 minutes later and apologized saying they did have my results and they were fine. They are completely unorganized and they ended up charging me a $ 75 or $ 100 fee for the appointment they claimed I missed but cancelled 8 weeks in advance. I wasn’t refunded until 2 months later as they told me they needed to confirm I cancelled. They admitted the mistake was on their end since they claimed they got a new appointment software and I cancelled on the cusp of when they converted to their new system. Nightmare!
Enter Dr. Mulligan’s office. I was referred by a friend and apparently 6 of our mutual friends see her as well. I called to make an appointment and a live person immediately picked up the phone. Brownie points already. The doctor was great, personable, and knowledgeable and the front desk staff was fantastic. I got a call from the doctor herself telling me everything came back fine for my annual. What a 180 from the hell hole I came from. The front desk staff told me no news is good news which is pretty standard and fine with me. Perhaps I got a call because I am a new patient?! Either way, I should have changed doctors years ago. If your looking to switch doctors or new to NYC, I highly recommend this place.

I’m so happy to have found Dr. Mulligan! I’ve lived in NYC for many years and until now, was unhappy with my gynocologists. Dr. Mulligan is a breath of fresh air! She’s warm, funny, friendly, knowledgeable and takes her time. The receptionist was also very friendly and warm. I’ve been telling everyone about Dr. Mulligan. Until now, I didn’t go for regular check ups as often as I should, but now I will, because I feel completely comfortable with Dr. Mulligan.

The staff here needs a hefty dose of customer service training. Was shocked at how rude and unprofessional the staff was here, and the way they treated me… not sure if it’s because they hate their jobs or what, but to take it out on patients is unacceptable. Also only got five minutes with the doctor, throwing meds and unnecessary tests at problems when I just needed someone to talk me through understanding what’s happening and offering real solutions. I won’t be coming back.

I love Dr.Mulligan. She’s an excellent Doctor that remembers everything about you. You can tell she cares and wants the very best plan for you & makes sure you’re comfortable.
The Staff not so much! I was seen 45 minutes late for my appointment. The front desk didn’t put my Chart out. 2 ppl went ahead of me which is what prompted me to say some thing. When the Front Desk Staff brought it to the Office Managers (Barbara) attention so I could go next she brushed it off with a oh well. I brought it to her attention and she lied right to my face! Blamed it a on the Doctor. SMH!
I would love to give her 5 Stars but the Staff ruins it. They need better Customer service to say the least.

Who loves going to the OBGYN? Probably nobody, but I really do love going to see Dr. Mulligan. She takes her time with you, explains things, answers questions, doesn’t rush you out the door, and really and truly listens. It’s refreshing (and so uncommon that it actually feels weird for the first few minutes). She’s just fantastic. If I could swap out my GP for Dr. Mulligan I’d do it in a heartbeat.
The front desk gals are hyper-​organized, fast, friendly, and are good about making everyone feel at ease. Have you ever laughed in the waiting room at your OBGYN? I bet not. I did because the woman behind the desk handling massive amounts of paperwork and answering phones also found the time to joke around with me. I love this place!

I recommend her to everyone. She has a great bedside manner, is incredibly sweet and calming and kind. I see her at Union Health Center because of an insurance thing so I’m not sure what her private practice is like. But she’s truly the best!

I was honestly shocked to read some of the bad reviews on here. I went to Dr. Mulligan based on the great reviews that she has and I feel the same way.
This is a small office (I think she is the only doctor in her office) just a FYI. I can usually get an appointment within a week or a week in a half — and for a gyno in NYC this is phenomenal. She’s very quick and really minimizes your wait time (I think I spent 5 mins in the waiting room, and 5 mins in the office after I undressed).
She is professional will explain anything you need if you ask — but you need to ask. She will call you back regardless of your test results herself (if you ask her) which is unusual as most places only give you a call if you have a problem.
She’s a little quick like the reviews said but is very comfortable, friendly and kind. I honestly have a lot of trust for her and her medical opinion. I’ve referred two friends (soon to be 3) and both of them had positive experiences with her and would go back as well.

Today was my first visit to see Dr. Mulligan, she was great and very quick which are things i appreciate on this type of visits. The staff is very nice to.

Dr Mulligan is quick, efficient, and no fuss. That part is great. But if you have any issues or need a doctor to truly go beyond the scope of just doing a pap and prescribing bc, go elsewhere. As a nurse myself, I can soundly say she does not care to use critical thinking, or wants to listen to your concerns — just in and out like cattle. I truly don’t think she means to be condescending, but she is. She doesn’t like her patients to have opinions or to voice concerns about their health that would require her to get involved. Just get in, get swabbed, and get out– hope you don’t need anything more.

The office location is convenient and close to subways. The office is clean and organized, magazines on the coffee tables and staff busy on the phone. Nothing unusual. Average time for waiting if you have an appointment is 5 mins in the waiting area and about 10 in the dr’s exam room.
Dr Mulligan seems overbooked and always busy. It’s almost as if you are asking her for a favor when you come for an appointment. She tends to ask questions while she’s checking you which is extremely uncomfortable, and I’m not talking about checking breasts. As soon as she’s done checking you down there she pretty much rushes you out. So you’ll spend an average of 2 – 5 mins with her if you’re lucky.
I do understand she’s busy but this is MY health. I always feel like she does a mediocre job only to justify the charge to my insurance company. I’m pretty certain that she misses signs of patient’s illnesses all the time, just because of her 3−5min rule with every patient. I can’t wait to find someone new. I would NOT recommend coming here if you care about your health. Although friendly, she’s terrible and incompetent.

I saw Dr Mulligan for the first time yesterday at Union Clinic, 275 7^th ave. She practices there 1 day a week I think. I would have gone to her private practice but she doesn’t take my insurance there. But after reading the review of the staff at the chichi private practice, it’s just as well! At the Union Clinic location the admin staffer was pleasant. Though it took a while to check me in because she was having a problem with her computer. I didn’t have to wait at all to see Dr. M and I really liked her attitude — friendly, direct, no nonsense. She follows the guidelines that recommend pap only every 3 – 5 years, no breast exam needed, etc, which is my philosophy as well. She didn’t do bp, weight, ask me about vaccines or or anything like that but I figure that’s my primary care doctor’s job. So if you are wanting to get all your healthcare from gyn this might not work for you.

Just to update, I was finally able to reach Dr. Mulligans office. Their phones werent working which I find very irresponsible for a doctors office. Nonetheless I do think she is a great doctor although I will have to find a new one as she wont take the insurance given to me by obama are.

The worst experience of my life. I paid $ 300 for the initial visit. It took several phone calls (most of the times they don’t even pick up the phone) to get a referral for a mammogram.
I had the mammogram done on April 17^th. Today is June 17 and I am still trying to speak to Dr Mulligan about the results. I called and called and at some point they answered the phone and told me they had not received the results.
I knew they were lying because I had previously called the imaging lab and confirmed that the results had been faxed. But I contacted the imaging lab again anyway. They faxed Mulligan the results AGAIN. I called back her office and confirmed that they had received the results and that the doctor would soon call me to discuss.
That was weeks ago. I called again today and they told me they had never received my mammogram results (!!!). Do you see a pattern here? The pattern of extreme lack of professionalism and patient care? Will never EVER go there again and will make sure I tell as many women as i can about my experience with them.

Found Dr Mulligan on Unilocal and these reviews were dead on… very nice, engaging and super quick! As a first time patient you expect it to take forever… paperwork was minimal, was in and out within 20 minutes. I would recommend anyone looking for a great, efficient and genuine OB-​GYN.

Found Dr. Mulligan when I moved to New York and have had nothing but easy friendly experiences. She is fast but supportive and doesn’t feel like she is pushing you out the door. The actual building isn’t the fanciest place in the world but it’s New York!

I am so happy I finally have an OB-​GYN I love! Dr. Mulligan will be my OB-​GYN as long as I’m in New York City. She is non-​judgemental, friendly, knowledgeable, and I feel comfortable asking her anything. We also always have really interesting conversations while she is probing my vagina.

I wish Dr. Mulligan was my doctor for everything!

3. Professional, knows her stuff and ever since my first appointment I have always felt so comfortable going here.
I recommend this doctor to everyone I know, and believe it when you call because they are usually super booked.
I know it says in a few reviews that her staff isn’t that great, and while that might be true, Dr. Mulligan is one of a kind phenomenal doctor!

I’m so happy that I can depend on the reviewers of this site to give their honest opinions of the goods and services. Dr. Mulligan was fantastic. The appointment was brief — she moves very quickly — but we covered sooo many topics during our time and she addressed any question I had. It did take forever to get the actual appointment, but I am pleased.
The office and the office staff leaves much to be desired, but that’s a whatever.

Dr. Mulligan is amazing! Ive been going to her for four years so far. Not only is she great at what she does, but she’s a sweetheart. Her appointments are on point, Ive never waited more then 10 minutes to see her (this brings me joy!).
Just one «CON» — Her staff! Wowsers, maybe Dr. Mulligan needs to offer «chill pills» to her staff. However, I’ve learned to adjust to them but they’ll def catch you off guard with their «pleasant» customer service skills.
Otherwise, I would def recommend her… She’s great!
