Kathleen Wade, RNC MA NP

I just got off the phone with her. I was just asking basic questions about what time she is open until or if she sees patients during the weekend. She kind of got mad and asked why does work not let me take an hour off and why so many people have been asking this question lately. I would have seen her during lunch but the way she acted and was so rude on the phone makes me not want to see her. It’s NYC there’s millions of doctors out there so I am certain I can find a more polite one.

Dr. Wade answered the phone and I was able to be seen same day. She is nice but the appointment was a bit rushed. She accepts cash or check copays only.

Pleasant woman with great people skills. She even took the time to warm her utensils before using them! Aaaand recommended an awesome dermatologist?! I’m happy to have found her.

I called Dr. Kathleen Wade’s office for appt for the first time, and was able to schedule within a week! The experience was great, she was very gentle during the checkout (if you had bad experience with rough gynecologist, you would know this is very important!) and patiently answering all my questions and concerns.
I will definitely recommend her for all my female friends!

Amazing experience. It was super easy to make an appointment– Kathleen answered the phone herself. When I first saw her at her office, she was super attentive, took a lot of time to listen to all my concerns and worries. I felt comfortable in her presence and it put me at ease. I would recommend her to anyone who is tired of unprofessional and indifferent treatment. Indulge yourself with a visit to a true professional, who is also caring and super informative.

I recently saw Dr Wade, not my regular doc who was unavailable, for a nasty infection I had. I called on a Tuesday afternoon and she saw me the next day. She treated me in an incredibly kind, compassionate, and competent way. I was really impressed with her skill, confidence, and reassuring demeanor. I am so grateful to be a patient at this practice of professional women — and I got better within days!

Kathleen is one of the greatest doctors in this city! I found her about 9 or 10 years ago when I was having an issue «down there» and after seeing gynecologist after gynecologist (for 2 years!) who diagnosed me incorrectly with something different each time, she was able to diagnose me in one visit and I was able to get treated properly and back to normal in no time!
Kathleen may be an «NP» but I trust no one else. She is very thorough, incredibly smart and explains everything to you so it’s easy to understand, while still making you feel really comfortable. She always takes time to talk to me about any questions I have and never makes me feel rushed.
Kathleen also ALWAYS finds time if you need an appointment. She stays late if she needs to and has even come into the office on her day off to fit me in at the last minute. One time, my insurance wasn’t covering a new birth control so when I called her to tell her I couldn’t afford it, she dropped off samples at my office on her way to the train!
After experiencing many gynos in NYC, I am so happy I found her and can’t recommend her enough! I have recommended all of my friends and they love her as well! Every woman deserves a gyno that’s as incredible as Kathleen!

I’ve been seeing Kathleen for 7 or 8 years, and I’d now never let anyone else go near Ladytown but her! She is gentle, welcoming and funny when it’s appropriate. I also appreciate that she’s very supportive of all genders, identities, relationship statuses and sexualities, something that is shockingly rare within the NYC GYN community. She’s always there for her clients, and cares about us all in meaningful ways.

She was awesome. I felt so comfortable. i’ve never been to a Doctor before who takes the time to explain every little detail to you and even ask you are there any questions!

I never thought I’d say that a visit to a gynecologist was pleasant. Everything said by everyone else is true, true, and true. She was a dream. No wait, great bedside manners, very informative, great follow up. I would strongly recommend her.

Finally decided to treat myself right and leave Planned Parenthood behind (wonderful public service they provide but loooong wait times and frequently treated like a farm animal). Nurse Wade is awesome. I felt very comfortable with her quickly. She even warms up the speculum for you!
I like that she does all her own scheduling and paperwork. She doesn’t go through the front desk at the Chelsea location (which I learned after being snapped at by the two nurses/receptionists…a couple of rude so n sos). You speak to HER on the phone.

Kathleen Wade is a remarkable gynecologist. After living in New York City for 4 years I have finally found a gyn who I feel comfortable with. She really takes time to work with her patients, hear their concerns and explain any issues or treatments. She has fantastic bedside manner and takes the time to follow up with her patients. Her staff is considerate of your schedule and does their best to keep patients on schedule. Highly recommend!

Although Kathleen is a NP this is the only «dr» I trust. I have been seeing her for years and she is such a lovely lady. She is very patient, kind, trustworthy and really takes time to listen and explain any and all issues in depth.
If there are ever any coupons or samples for prescriptions she will always give them to you to save money.
She’s someone I believe I can really talk to about anything regarding health. She is excellent with follow up and always is available for her patients. She even goes as far as to give all her patients her cell phone number and says call any time.
I even ended up bringing my younger sister to her for her first gyno exam.
I very strongly recommend her, she really does care and that is very rare!
