Kustal & Ferber

I have been using Kustal & Kustal for both business and personal accounting services for over 25 years and have never had any problems. All call to the office have always been answered. If Mr. Kustal was out of the office I was given a number where he could be reached and I called and spoke to him.

Use at your peril. I have never experienced less professional service EVER. We went to them to file our 2012 taxes. Everything seemed ok at the first visit. And we assumed everything was filed on time. I reached out a couple of months later to do some tax planning for 2013. After a few attempts to reach them, I never heard back so we switched accountants. Come time to file our 2013 return and we learn that our 2012 return was NEVER FILED. Then, 2 months later we got a letter from NY State saying one of the deductions Kustal & Ferber put on our return (when it finally was filed a year late) was rejected and we owed over $ 1,000. We reached out to Kustal & Ferber repeatedly for an explanation and guidance. You hire a professional because they are supposed to know what they are doing. They clearly do not. Kustal never responded in any meaningful way. My calls and emails were simply not returned except to tell me that he was busy or out of town. He never once apologized for his negligence with the initial filing or for ignoring my months of many calls and emails. I was treated as an annoyance. And their negligence ended with a tax warrant out against us. Stay away from these accountants.
