We came here for a rehearsal party. The staff was super attentive and polite, clearing our plates almost immediately. The food was delicious! This is such a great place to have a Korean reception.

We got the Sal Sal Tenders because my husband and I are pretty big Tender lovers but the service is absolutely terrible, we had to sit there and had to endure being constantly ignored. We sat there a lot longer than we should have. and the «Call button» doesn’t bring anyone to you, The chicken we got was very dry, it seemed like it was on the older side because it wasn’t warm it just wasn’t tasty at all. It just tasted like chicken. Will never come back.

Place is in the corner of 32^nd street and is okay for very small eats. I came here for a little snack on May 20 around 4:30pm and was pretty disappointed in service.
The person at the register was very rude because I was just making sure that I gave the correct amount and the person biggest attitude. Is there something wrong with reassuring myself? Also the fact when they gave us our change they short me $ 1. The cashier sucked their lip and threw the money at me. Who does that?
When I asked about it, gave me a look like I said something wrong and went on to talk the other worker. They were looking at me and just giggling. Not professional at all. Not ever considering going here again because of the mood they set. You guys should care about how the customers feel and not talk in front of them. Fix up up your service please. If you do they maybe I’ll get back to this post.
On the side note the sauce on the wings were good. They were on the small side but had lots of flavor. A bit pricey if you eat a lot, but if you don’t then try it out at least once.
Update: I just wanted to apologize that I mentioned the cashier’s name. That was were rude and unprofessional of me. To that I apologize. The did message me about my comments and I would like to reply to them, but regretfully he had since deleted his message. I do want to clear thing up with him so I can at least understand both views and see if we can just talk it out. Again no hard feelings, it just that I thought service was poor. If on that day, it was good or bad, my review was uncalled for. If you would like to talk about it I would not mind, if not I hope you have a good day!

A franchise Korean fried chicken place. The chili flavor can be too spicy/​hot for someone who usually does not eat spicy foods. Garlic flavor is a good mix of sweet and salty. However, they don’t offer other flavors usually available in Korea.
Whole chicken option is available, and is good for three-​four people, but it will take at least 20 minutes to prepare.

So Kyochon has been an active part of my life for years at this point. Bonchon who? Omgee theres nothing better than their wings. Oh but wait there is their chili pop wings which I was advised are only served at lunch. Im in Kyochon with a lady who wanted some and was turned down also. Your location is the only one in the city. You dont deliver outside of midtown… Are ya’ll crazy who has a menu item like chicken nuggets that can’t be ordered all day?
Your employee Aseef advised that only certain people make this chicken. You are missing out on a serious opportunity for more sales. Its sad and sad as a customer.

First time here and service is horrible. The staff is just hanging around in the back, talking to each other, and when someone finally came to our table, he wasn’t very friendly or helpful. The food is overrated and overpriced — very mediocre. This is a restaurant to dine at if there’s no other place to go to.

If you want to spend over 10 dollars for 6 mini wings that have more skin on them than meat this is the place for you. I went here when I was starving and couldn’t find another place to eat. I regret coming here. The place décor was modern and cool but the food was so little for what i paid for! Kfc and popeyes give you more damn meat than that. I was still hungry after i ate my $ 12 meal that I had to go to starbucks down the street and get a smoothie. What a disappointment! Only reason its getting more than 1 star is because the décor was modern which i liked.

I found the food overpriced for the size but overall, I didn’t mind it as much as some of the people here. I got their lunch/​early dinner meal combo for 11.99 (13.05 with tax) which came with a choice of chicken bites, chicken, or chicken strips. I went with the former with their sweet/​spicy chili glaze. It also came with a salad (with choice of dressing, apple, mango, and something, picked mango) and a choice of side which I went with rice and a soda-​fountain drink. They oddly sell water for an extra dollar because why not make a quick buck.
There wasn’t much chicken for the price but boy it was actually spicy. I’m used to 200K+ Scovilles/​approaching Habanero heat and this really did the trick. The chicken itself had a bit too much breading but the flavor was there. Salad was lackluster.
I might be giving this a bit high with a 3 instead of a 2 but when she warned me it was spicy, it actually was.

I’ve been to all of the major Korean fried chicken places in town and I’ve gotta say, I’m finally ready to say that I like Kyochon’s marinated pieces of crunchy goodness the best.
It’s definitely pricier, but worth the extra dollars I think. Unlike Bonchon and Mad For Chicken, the seasoning on the chicken at Kyochon actually permeates below the layer of skin and into the chicken. Mad For Chicken does a pretty good job, but at Bonchon generally the intense flavoring kind of stops after your first few bites. Plus, the slightly smaller chicken wings and drums at Kyochon lend the meat to be more tender and overall after you finish you don’t feel (as) disgusted with yourself.
Plus Kyochon’s never as crowded and you can usually snag a table or a seat at the bar at any hour. You can’t go wrong with Korean fried chicken but treat yourself to Kyochon!

I ordered a large half and half and a medium soy garlic to go. It took about 15 minutes for my wings. Pretty quick. Nice that they have a sitting area with tables for people as they wait for their orders. However, when i got home the wings were the tiniest I’ve ever had compared to the other korean fried chicken places and it wasnt quite crispy.

I love Kyochon chicken, I really really do. In term of favor it beats Bonchon, but in terms of size Bonchon beats Kyochon. But if I have to choose I would pick Kyochon due to the soy garlic taste is more lasting but the price is kind of… –sigh– with the amount of food you get.
Apparently, if you order on the bottom floor, you cannot bring the food upstairs. It’s cheaper to order downstairs than it is to eat upstairs (It’s more expensive AND you have to tip).

Big fan of their Grilled Chicken wings hot full flavor. having a good camaraderie with chillies I thought I will handle the spice just fine and boy were my taste buds in for a surprise! Best wings I have had so far anywhere in the city. The hot wings bring me the sweat and how! Yes they are tiny and a tad bit over priced but I don’t mind paying that price for such good flavor! I am just taking the one star away as sometimes the guys there can be a little cold and not so friendly. but I don’t think it’s a big problem as the taste of the wings surpasses any glitches the have;)
However I am pretty surprised so many people got dry wings here. I have been a regular the last coupla months and never had a dry-​wing moment ever! It’s my goto place when I am not having a great day and even when I am having a kickass day, either ways I come out happier: D

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at KyoChon and from how I last remembered it, they served DELICIOUS soy garlic wings. I recommended this place to my bf so we came around 10PM on a weekday night, hungry and eager to eat some good food. We were guided upstairs and seated quickly. When given our menus, I was a tad disappointed at the limited options. There weren’t really many entrees to choose from so we just ordered a plate of soy garlic wings and a grilled chicken steak to share with two bowls of rice.
The soy garlic wings turned out to be satisfactory. They were so small! For the most part, the chicken wings tasted better than the chicken legs because the chicken legs were dry and lacked flavor. There wasn’t anything noteworthy about the grilled chicken steak either, which was disappointing since everything was overpriced. On top of that, we were asked to pay our bill first while we were eating because they wanted to close down the system early.
If I’m ever craving wings again, I will probably try another restaurant. As for this place, I don’t think I will be revisiting any time too soon.

If you want some overpriced, low quality, dry, dwarf wings then this is the place to be!
Never been in here before so I came to try their soy garlic Kyochan wings, got the small box and requested all wings for $ 6.99 because it comes mixed with a couple drumsticks. Waited for 5 minutes and order came out in a thick to-​go plastic kyochan bag (is there a need to waste more plastic it is a 10 mm gauge bag– and yes I measured it with my micrometer at work) Aside from my environmentally conscience rant. I took a peek inside my bag and I see the smallest box ever. Lol
They were the smallest puny little wings i paid $ 1/​wing for bc there were 7 in the box. They are so dry they were definitely not today’s batch and the quality of the wings overall is just terrible. Even the deli buffet wings are bigger and better than this!
Side note: the doors say push from the outside so I pushed for 5 seconds like a dummy then realized I should just pull to go in … Should’ve just walked away then !

We all try to not judge a book by its cover, but when you are advertising Korean fried chicken with a minimalist wall that emits tantalizing neon lights, — how could I not be lured in?
Unfortunately, I think this place exists simply for aesthetics and not what truly matters — fried chicken.
It was a Saturday night and we found ourselves in K-​town with no reservations. Surprisingly, Kyochon wasn’t as busy as the other restaurants on the block. We were immediately seated upstairs at the banquette and our server took our drink orders. We decided to go for half soy and half spicy, potato wedges, and broccoli salad. While waiting for our food, we were intrigued by the K-​pop music videos that were plastered on their large screens.
When our items arrived, we were ready to dig in. I decided to start off with a spicy wing and was not prepared for a super kick in the butt. This was unbearably spicy. I had to gulp down my glass of water after only finishing half of my first wing. While I do like a nice little kick in my food, I don’t like to be body slammed. Everyone else agreed that they were extremely spicy. On the other side of the plate, the soy garlic wings completely lacked flavor. Maybe I missed the memo that I was supposed to bite them together at the same time to create some magical KFC flavor force? Who knows?
The broccoli salad was interesting, but noticeably lacked broccoli. I would say the percentage was 30% broccoli, 60% green onions, 10% tomatoes and misc. The potato wedges were typical potato wedges.
Continuing onto our service — there’s a handy dandy button that you press when you’re in need of your server. Cool, huh? No more awkward glances or waving your arm to hail down your server. Too bad turns out our server was not aware that we had pressed it several times in a row. This even happened a few times during dinner so I just sat there miserable with my mouth on fire and sauce covered hands.
While I enjoyed feeling like I was eating KFC in Drake’s Hotline Bling video, Kyochon’s got me down, and got me stressed out.

Is there any place that you always wanted to try, but got disappointed once you did?
Well, KyoChon is one of them.
Went there days a go after work. The wings were really not special at all. Want me to describe the wings? Just chx wings got deep fried. The flavor wasn’t special, i ordered spicy ones, not spicy at all, the fired sweet potatos, my gosh, all small pieces almost like bread crumbs.

I am not in the habit of handing out two stars on reviews but feel this is warranted. This is based on my cumulative experiences ranging over my past three visits.
Four or five years ago, this was the absolute best chicken I have ever tasted, matter of fact KyoChon provided me with my first KFC experience of perfectly fried crisp skin, moist and tender meat on the inside with the outside slathered with either a scorching spicy hot sauce or a mild garlicky soy sauce… ummm, just remembering how good this stuff used to be. But now, I must admit, based on my most recent visits, the flavors are still there, but the chicken no longer holds that perfect crisp skin and has not been moist at all and has been rather dry.
The way I can describe my past few orders, it is as if the chicken had been fried earlier during the day and once a order is placed they refry the chicken resulting in a less crisp and more dried out product… yuck! You know, like the dried out to the bone turkey carcass Chevy Chase was trying to eat in Christmas Vacation? If you’ve seen the movie you’ll know what I’m talking about. I certainly don’t know if re-​refrying is their method of preparation and I surely hope that it is not, but how can my ill prepared orders taste nothing like the KFC I’ve been accustomed to? Why the inconsistency? Maybe it’s just me and I have been unlucky by visiting the establishment after 5:00pm? Is that it? Should I only come here during lunch when there’s a better turnover? Maybe that’s it, but I’ll never know ’cause I won’t be back. There are waaay too many other options for me to spend my dollars on.
So KyoChon, I give you these two stars for your customer service and atmosphere, which luckily has not changed, but certainly not enough to bring me back.

I came here with friend about an hour before their closing time at 12. They were friendly about it. We were quickly seated upstairs and staff quickly serves us water. Upstairs was dim and pretty intimate. Just like most places at night candles were lit. There were not many people eating there when we went.
I had the sampler which in my opinion was not worth it. I recommend to get something else for the bang of your money. our sampler came with fries which were pretty good and a mix of soy sauce and spicy chicken pieces .
One of my friends got a mango soju of some sort which was a mango purée mix. There was def a strong Soju taste compared to mad for chicken right across the street.
We stayed till the end when they had to close. They didn’t seem to mind when we were pretty loud time to time.
Overall this place I would recommend though I do wish they open a bit longer on a weekday. Location wise is pretty easy to spot since it’s on a corner and in ktown

Situé au coeur de KoreaTown, en face de l’Empire State Building, Kyochon est le temple de l’aile de poulet croustillante, en sauce, en friture et même épicée pour certaines.
Ils ont une approche plus saine que les fast food traditionnels, le côté coréen lui donne ce «je né sais quoi» qui évite la comparaison directe avec l’horrible KFC.
La qualité des ingrédients à un prix et donc ce fast food pratique des tarifs plus élevés que les traditionnels «chicken wings restaurants».
Au gout, c’est pas mal mais ça reste du fast food assez gras. On le fait une fois parce qu’on est pressé et qu’on est curieux mais franchement pas 2 fois pour moi.
Néanmoins, si vous êtes dingues d’ailes de poulet alors allez jeter un coup d’oeil chez Kyochon ou chez son concurrent direct à côté Bonchon, vous pourrez vous faire votre propre opinion.
